Kurtz's Beach

We had our wedding at Kurtz's Beach and we absolutely loved it. The food is amazing and our guests loved it as well. The views from this venue are so beautiful that hardly anyone wanted to stay inside. The staff here went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly.

A Hidden Gem! We recently hosted a party for my daughter's medical school graduation. We wanted a place where people could have an option to be either inside or outside. Something classy, yet not too formal. This not only met but exceeded our expectations! The staff was very accommodating, the room was perfect, and the views were an added bonus! We had beautiful weather so many guests were able to enjoy the private outdoor space.

There were other events going on at the same time but they have a great set up that creates a natural separation between the groups. Now. I just need a reason to have another party! :

Ashley & John at Kurtz's are absolutely amazing! I can't thank them enough for everything they had done for my wedding. My husband and I are so incredibly happy with our entire experience at Kurtz's. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. We could not of asked for a better experience. My wedding was everything I could of ever imagined. The wedding day was smooth, Deb went above & beyond with everything and I can't thank her enough for what she had done. The food, drinks, and desserts were all amazing! Everyone kept saying how beautiful the venue is and how amazing everything was. Thank you to everyone at Kurtz's!

Great place to hold an event. They have both indoor and outdoor venues so they can accommodate any weather situation. The food was so so(3 out of 5) but the staff was courteous and attentive. Would definitely recommend

On May 1, 2022, my family and I held a celebration of life for my husband. Kurtz Beach was the perfect place. They were so patient with my needs. Everything, from the venue, the food, even the staff working the event, , could not have been any better. Thank you Kurtz, , for making this a beautiful day for us! I would highly recommend you to anyone.

It was a wonderful, picturesque location, with perfect Saturday afternoon weather. The food for the catered event was delicious and abundant. Everyone in attendance had the opportunity to eat as many Blue Crabs as he or she could consume. In addition, there were LEFTOVERS! Such wonderful leftovers.

Went for a bull and oyster roast. The pit beef & ham was cold. The Mac & cheese.well never had Cheetos sprinkled on top, just weird. The fresh oysters and stew were great! Now for dessert like a giant sheet cake cut up in tiny pieces. Also bread pudding was available, but there was a can of whipped topping.do it yourself. And no coffee was brewed said it wasn't on the menu.but it was. Well the benefit was for a good cause. And everyone seem to have a good time . As for the food think they should find a new chef.

We had our reception here in 2005 and had not been back until last night. We definitely were not disappointed with this venue then or last night. The grounds, service and food is beyond exceptional! To see a place so special to us continue to grow and thrive, working to provide a wonderful atmosphere and service for any groups looking to celebrate, is rare. We would recommend this place to anyone time and time again. 10+ stars all the way around!

Kurtz Beach was the perfect location to have our wedding. The professionals who work there make you feel comfortable and are incredibly friendly. They have been doing weddings forever and really know what they are doing! The venue itself is gorgeous. My favorite part about the reception area is the shape of the room and dance floor as a circle. They have updated lights which are so beautiful and you can set them to your preference.

The room is newly renovated and has a very light and peaceful feel. There are three places to get married on the property which made it hard to choose because they are all so beautiful. We got married in the grass area overlooking the water. It has an amazing water view for guests to enjoy and for pictures! We also got the men's and woman's cottages which are breathtaking.

Great place for medium and large gatherings (i.e. weddings, corp. events) with indoor accomodations as well as outdoor pavilions. Plenty of parking too. They've been here for decades and are a local favorite.

I have nothing to say but all kudos for this venue, the location and there staff. I had the pleasure of working with Debbie, Lyle and John this past weekend and I can say the experience (even as a vendor) was refreshing and was memorable. The staff did everything they could possible to keep the event organized, smooth and on schedule. Lyle even went above and beyond to help me with a technical difficulty. I would highly recommend this venue and there staff. Its hard to find good customer/vendor service these days and here it was like home.

We recently were married at Kurtz Beach - it was an amazing experience from start to finish! Being a bride and planning a wedding during a pandemic was tough- there were many times I was not sure what the day would look like- but the staff helped us throw the wedding of our dreams and took that worry away from me! The owner John is so kind, and Ashley was always there to answer any questions I had and to bounce ideas off of- a fantastic team. Deb, the wedding coordinator kept us calm and made everything run smoothly the day of.

The staff on the day of the wedding was extremely kind and professional and gave my guests an awesome experience. The venue has gorgeous water views, a beautiful bridal cottage and so much indoor/outdoor space which was perfect for our guests. We ended the night with a dreamy sparkler send off! Do consider booking your wedding at Kurtz- you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful place, but the food is terrible. Roasted chicken was sliced lunchmeat with jarred gravy and roast beef was sliced lunch meat with jarred gravy. Parsley was canned and they ran out and substituted with instant mashed. Crab casserole tasted old and was watery and not eatable. There featured mini pastries were frozen out of a box that you can get from a grocery store. Beware!

They get you on the food. Terrible. When we had our wedding were were so disappointed. Owner would not return any money. Insist on pictures of the food and a tasting of the food prior to the wedding.

My husband and I got married here this past October, it was beyond perfect from start to finish. Ashley, John, and Deb went above and beyond to make this day everything we had dreamed of and more. I cannot say enough how happy we are that we chose Kurtz's Beach for our big day.

The venue is beautiful. The bride and groom got married on the patio overlooking the water evening Wedding. Everyone had a great time. Food and Beverages were great. Staff very friendly, professional and accommodating. Wedding Coordinator awesome. We got both Bride and Groom Cottages. We also had the sparkler send off. Highly recommend. Overall very satisfied.

We just had the most amazing wedding for our daughter at Kurtz's Beach! The venue, the service, the food (a complete vegan spread), and the people were just AWESOME! Kurtz's Beach is run so professionally, and yet, with such a personal touch. Big shout out to Ashley, Deb and Lyle.you guys are such nice people and such professionals! THANK YOU for making our girl's day so special.

We just had a wedding there over the weekend and I must say Ashley and John took care of us! We were really pleased with everything! They took my vision and brought it to life! All my guest enjoyed their food, service, and beautiful scenery! The staff was polite and gracious to all our guest! We were truly blessed! Can't thank Ashley enough for being so patient with us and keeping things in check and organized!

They kept my stress level to a minimum. We def appreciated it! Debbie our day of coordinator kept things on time and was very wonderful to our family and friends. She helped wrangle in our toddler who was cranky and tired. Thank you so much Debbie! John, the owner, came out to us at the end of the night to make sure everything went well which meant a lot because he did not have to do that! Personable and very professional business man. This is the second year that my bestie and I have come to this event and the second year that we LOVED IT! Wine on the water 2017 was great! Not too crowded - really great wine selections and vendors and really chill folk. The best thing about it was definitely the staff! Friendly as soon as you get there helping you to get a quick lay of the land and guiding you directly to the good stuff - WINE SAMPLES!

We had Jenos cheese steak fries. SHAMELESS PLUG! For the SECOND YEAR! They are amazing! Almost don't wanna send this review cause we want it all to ourselves next year too!

Kurtz's Beach is such a gorgeous venue and Ashley was so patient and helpful when we were researching wedding venues. The view on the water is stunning. There's lots of free parking. It's a bit off the beaten path, but it's worth it.

Unbelievable. We paid for 150 people but they only make enough food for the people who show up. So they don't discount you for the food they didn't use. Instead you pay for food you don't get. We paid for it, so it should've been our choice what to do with it. We could've driven around and fed plenty of homeless people. Not that they would've eaten it because the food was so awful. Salty. Cold. Inedible. Rude workers. Never having another event here. Big disappointment, even bigger waste of money.

Attended a wedding at this property and it was very well executed. The staff was all extremely helpful and accommodating. Great food, updated reception space and the views out to the bay area were breathtaking. I highly recommend Kurtz's Beach!

Kurtz hosted a large birthday party for me this past weekend with about 100 guests. I cannot overstate how pleased I was with the venue, staff and food. We took the older room in the back with the huge deck and view of the water. My guests and I could not have been happier as the weather was a beautiful as the view. Nothing was a problem for the staff and venue took care of absolutely everything at a very fair cost.

They were a dream to work with. After my initial inspection and prior to the day of the event, everything was handled promptly by email. The day of the event, they even posted staff to show my guests how to get to the back of the property. The food was good and we were allowed to bring our own DJ. There is a larger more modern room in the front, but it does not have the hundred million dollar view. However, for us, it was worth taking the spot in the back because nothing trumped the view.

The only downside to this room is that it's in the back, and the bathrooms need some love. However, if you have a daytime event, this is the room to choose. Neither you or your guests will be disappointed. Much love to John, Ashley and all the staff with a big thank you from the Taylors.

Attended a wedding a little while ago, so I can only speculate about what goes on while planning and having a wedding there. It's a beautiful location, and the Bay Room is nice and fairly neutral as stated earlier. However, the chairs looked really dated and awful, which detracted from the way the room looked/the nice linens and table decorations. Also, I'm almost positive that the "popcorn chicken" on the passed hors d'oeuvres was actually diced Tyson's chicken.

I am positive, however, that the potatoes were fake. A shame, because the chicken and sirloin were actually very tasty. The veggies were way overdone. People were still enjoying themselves, and there were plenty of nice desserts to go around, but having recently planned my own wedding: you pay a lot for your food. It should at least be on par with a halfway decent restaurant for what they charge you.
