The Ivey Studio is located at 403 West Main Street in Midlothian, TX. We are just 30 minutes from Downtown Dallas and Downtown Fort Worth. At 1800 square feet, our studio is complete with a full changing suite, a guest lobby, a projection theater, and a 720 square foot camera room. Our camera room has north facing windows for perfect window light photography.Ivey Photography is best known for the Storybook Santa Experience, our one hour portrait session with Santa. We have had clients drive from all over Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and California to come visit Santa.

Since 1977 Ivey Photography has been at the center of creating and preserving photographic memories for people all over Midlothian, Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Ray Ivey founded the studio in Dallas and moved it to Midlothian in 1999. In 2008, the studio was purchased by local photographer Chris Smith.
Come to Ivey Photography and allow PPA Master Artist, Chris Smith, to take your child's imagination and portray it in a one-of-a-kind piece of art. What are your kids' favorite activities? Let's face it, taking new family pictures can be somewhat difficult. We are excited to introduce The Express Family Portrait Session. Normally, we work very quickly with families. But now, we've created a very fast, very affordable family portrait option at Ivey Photography. The Express Family Portrait takes place during your 45-minute appointment.
Your school has selected Ivey Photography to be the official senior portrait photographer for the Class of 2023. We photograph seniors from any area school, while we are the official yearbook image provider for Midlothian Heritage, Midlothian High, and Waxahachie High School. If you are not from those schools, additional fees and pricing may apply to your portrait session.

I recently took my daughter, Alena, for her Senior photos at Ivey Photography and we had a blast. Ivey has been created with a wonderful, professional and thoughtful photographer. The shoot was light bearded, comfortable, and professional at the same time. I felt the photographer genuinely cared about capturing the best senior moments possible. I would recommend this studio for anyone looking for a great experience!

This is our second year to do the Santa experience. Both years our experience was exceptional, both in the studio and in the quality of work Chis does! He captured priceless images of both of my daughters first Christmas. He completes his editing within days and gets you the products you ordered extremely fast. We look forward to returning for many years to come so he can capture our girls grow!

Storybook Santa Experience is unforgettable. This was the most amazing experience from start to finish. The kids all had such a wonderful time meeting Santa and spending quality time with him. They still talk about it. And I have all of the wonderful memories and pictures to share and enjoy. The quality is unbelievable, Santa was so awesome and photographer Chris was so patient and got some breathtaking pictures for us to cherish.

Ivey does beautiful and unique portraits. We used them for family portraits several years ago and were extremely pleased with everything. This year we used them for our daughters senior pictures and got some beautiful pictures as well. The price to quality/quantity ratio kept them from five stars for us. Their website states free "gift" prints with an order of a book and a large photo.
We did three books and a large photo ( $4,500.00) and our access to prints was limited, unlike our family session with less money spent! We did a very large metal print that was ordered "painted". We expected vibrant colors like we saw in the studio but the finished product was an exact replica of the photo, and in large form showed a pretty obvious lighting issue around her mouth that wasn't caught or fixed.
It is pretty but we feel little time was spent on it for the money. The books are beautiful and had all the best shots, we were very pleased with them! Also did a great job on our graduation invites and thank you cards.

We spent our evening yesterday with Chris, taking our engagement photos. There is no doubt that we picked the greatest photographer. He is the best around. After viewing his work it wasn't possible to pick anyone else - his images are in a class of their own, so much better than any other photographer's that we looked at. We really enjoyed our time with him.
He was professional and fun. He has an unbelievable eye and attention to detail. We couldn't be more pleased with our decision. Can't wait to see the photos from last night and looking forward to him shooting our wedding pics as well.

Unique and awesome are just two words that come to mind when I think of Ivey Photography in Midlothian. They have photographed many members of my family and extended family over the past year. They are very creative and great to work with. Chris and Shana are wonderful and you will love every shot. I can't say enough about Ivey. I tell everyone I know to try Ivey. Can't be beat:
