If we could give Curt more than 5 stars, we would. He was referred to us by a family member who had him DJ at their wedding, and we would easily recommend him to anyone else. He was always prompt to answer calls and respond to voicemails or emails, and kept lines of communication very open during the planning process. He also made sure the wedding was exactly what we would want.

He asked a lot of questions and was extremely knowledgeable! Additionally, his DJ skills were appreciated greatly on the dance floor - our friends were dancing all night long, and more than once told us that they were impressed by the DJ! Curt and Stax O Wax were incredible, and we would recommend them to everyone!

We just had our wedding by Stax O wax and it was a big hit! Curt was both professional and friendly and anything we needed throughout the night with music he was able to help us out. We had lots of Latin music requests and he had just about all the songs we wanted already. We've had him for my sisters wedding as well and it was an easy chose to have him for my own. Our DJ, Curt Zimmerman, was the epitome of professionalism. From our initial phone call, to our e-mail communications, online planning and the event itself - Curt honored our wishes and worked with us to craft the reception we wanted. He was extremely responsive and did an excellent job of being unobtrusive but present. Can't say enough good things about our experience. We definitely had a large and varied number of requests and details for him to keep in mind and he nailed it.

Stax o Wax just played at our wedding last weekend and I can't say enough good things. All of our interactions with Curt were incredible - he was thorough, patient, kind, and an absolute pro. The day of went so perfectly, largely because of Curt. We are overjoyed that we made the decision to have Stax and would recommend them to anyone for any event!

I just used Stax O Wax this past weekend for my wedding and Curt Zimmerman was FANTASTIC! He was super flexible with me as I changed my mind about different types songs multiple times. He really made the night about US and wanted it to be perfect and it was, thanks to him. Everyone always wants the dance floor to be full throughout the evening and he did just that.

I'm not even being biased because it was my wedding but I have never seen the dance floor so packed ALL NIGHT! It was everything I could have asked for! I even had multiple people compliment our DJ choice and I couldn't agree more! Thank you Curt for such an amazing night, you are truly an excellent DJ! :) :)

I saw Stax O Wax at a friends wedding several years back and they truly were the best I had ever seen. The music they played during dinner was not your typical easy listening stuff and the DJ's themselves were entertaining, beyond the music and lights! For the actual dancing, they played a nice mix of modern and older music, appealing to everyone that was there and of course, the DJ's kept the party fun.

When it came time for my own wedding, I HAD to call Stax O Wax to see if they would come out here to the boondocks (Sterling.2+ hours from where they are based in Cary). Shawn answered my email almost immediately and sent me their pricelist, which shows the different packages they offer. He was very upbeat and professional the couple of times that I spoke to him, assuring me that it was no problem for them to travel for a wedding or other event. Unfortunately, their asking price was more than we had budgeted for our DJ, so I had to tell him thanks but no thanks but if money had been no object, I would have hired them in a second, including paying the extra money they needed for traveling this far - they are THAT good. Not being able to hire Stax O Wax was really the only disappointment of my wedding, I would definitely suggest them to anyone for any event!
