5th Floor Photos has been around since 1995. The creation was the result of my interest in photography. Portraits of people and pets has been the focus since 2001. The back bone of my work is in this area. Occasional commercial or product work finds it's way into the mix. Trying to make a box of cereal or building smile is something I have yet to figure out. I did capture a tree smiling once, but that is another story.The very large field of portrait photography has many experts and very accomplished photographers in it. The idea of having fun during the portrait session is always the goal for me. The philosophy behind this is simple - if you are having fun - you will be smiling! Many colleges get caught up in the technical aspect of the photograph. The lighting, exposure, backdrop, and position of the subject is important to me, but not to you! As a customer of 5th Floor Photos, I want you to look at the photograph that we took and smile. The emotion of what you are seeing is more important to me than what kind of mono-light I used or whether I used the correct technique to properly expose the shot.
