This company is the bottom of the barrel. In over 30 years of ownership of a catering company in metro Washington D.C. I have never had a worst experience. They were rude, unprofessional, demeaning, and need to retire or hire people who understand customer service.

We have used Top Hat for many years for an event that has over 3000 attendees. They deliver, set up and break down tables, chairs, grills, coolers and stage in a timely fashion allowing us to meet the deadlines outlined in our contract with the venue. Wonderful customer service. As a nonprofit we are grateful for their continued support as we work to support the families and children of our county.

As a coordinator for a school dance, I worked with Top Hat for two years, which was 2 years too many. The "help" I received was unorganized, unprofessional, and disrespectful. The business is run out of an auto parts store, which is almost as tacky as the decorations. The party planners were abhorrently disrespectful towards myself and the other organizers from my school, as it was a high school dance. Disregarding our opinions and our phone calls, the party planners did little more than show up on the day of the dance.

They openly fought during our consultation, and they did not bring all the decorations we paid for and agreed on. In addition, they refused to hang certain props, that they previously promised. Overall, it was a miserable and disheartening experience. The school will be going elsewhere in years to come! I wish I could give zero stars.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Hands down the BEST company for any and all of your wedding/reception needs. Mike & Cookie & Wendy go above and beyond to make sure everything is what the bride to be wants and they execute everything to perfection! We have used this company multiple times for large weddings (600 plus) attending guests and my wedding this past memorial day they didn't let us down! Decor/Lighting/Dance Floor/everything was top notch! Thank you Top Hat we'll see ya'll again next year for my brothers wedding!

I used Top Hat Party for my daughters wedding. They are a terrific company to work with. Sharon took care of all my questions and wedding nerves. The tent was beautiful, even better then I ever could have expected. I am so glad to have worked with this company and would recommend them to anyone.

Top Hat Party Design is family owned and operated. I have used their service for more than 12 years, and every time we have had an issue (hurricanes, storms, cold snaps, etc) Mike, Cookie, and Sharon have worked very hard to get everything just right. I appreciate the effort it takes to make every tent fit in all kinds of spots. I am grateful to have this service in Southern Maryland.
