Gateway Florist, owned by Kent and Tina Cooksey is located on the family's 130 acre farm in La Plata, MD. We were originally located in Waldorf, MD for 17 years and moved to our family's farm in 2007. The farm, which is called Fair Fountain Farm, was originally owned by Frank and Grace Cooksey (Kent's grandparents). They historically raised tobacco along with vegetables and livestock to feed their large family. Gateway Florist is a full service florist offering delivery for all occasions birthdays, get well, sympathy, weddings and for no occasion at all.

I was disappointed due to the arrangement that I chose and paid for, neither flower pictured was available. I think that if none of the pictured items are available then the arrangement should be removed from the site until it can be fulfilled. I am also upset that I didn't recipe any sort of discount due to the issue. I will not be using this florist again.

I absolutely love gateway florist! I spoke with them on the phone and they were so professional, kind, knowledgeable about what to purchase for whatever situation. They delivered on time and the recipient was surprised and very pleased on her arrangements. I'm in my 60s and I used quite a lot of florists. Gateway is the Best! Thank you Gateway Florist. Gateway Florist worked a miracle for me. I had to travel the day of my niece's HS graduation. Not only did I place the order the night before, I requested the bouquet be delivered before she left for her ceremony. Gateway Florist MADE THAT happen and I was told the bouquet arrived as requested and were absolutely GORGEOUS. Thanks Gateway Florist for helping me bring a huge smile to my niece's face. :
