Sunday, 6/26/2022 - Went to eat at Edgewood Resort for brunch at The Bistro. This place is beautiful! Hotel is beautiful. Golfing area, from what I can see, grab and beautiful. I don't play golf. It's only valet parking. Right when we walked in the hotel entrance to go to The Bistro, it was beautiful and clean. I'm reviewing this as a visitor and not a hotel guest.
Upon arrival. Pros 1) area and hotel is beautiful! 2) outside view is absolutely gorgeous 3) they have a beautiful beach and a great view of the mountain. 4) there's games in the grassy area: ping ping ball, checker, chess, bean bag, etc. 5) a foot rinse area for when you're done at the beach and returning to the hotel. 6) water felt nice.
The Bistro restaurant review 7) The Bistro - servers were very professional and very nice. 8) restaurant is clean. 9) table, chairs, plates, cups, utensils all clean. 10) water tasted great! No metal or funky taste. 11) We were sitting outside to eat brunch. They even had a young man try to fix the umbrella shading our table outside to try to shade ALL the chairs.
But that didn't work. It's ok. He tried. 12) they were quick on bringing our water out to us. Waitress was very nice and attentive. 13) when we got our foods? From each person whom ate their plates: - Steak and egg wasn't very good. Steak was supposed to be cooked rare. But it was toooo rare. Scramble eggs good tho. - Eggs benedict wasn't cooked right, ham not cooked, bread not toasted.
But potatoes good. - Kids pasta was too dry. The child didn't even eat it. - kids steak and eggs was good. This plate got devour. Lol. - Edge chicken sandwich was good. - Kids chicken tenders was the last plate to come out for us. Tenders were VERY dry. The child didn't like it. - orange juice is $4.50 a glass, for those wondering. 14) the view is absolutely gorgeous! 15) we saw a hotel pool right in front of us for those staying in the hotel. 16) we saw golfers driving their golf carts around. 17) I love the ambiance of the hotel, restaurant and lake area. Cons 1) server was pretty good at the beginning.
But it took a long time to get our check. After eating, we sat for a long time before we got our check. 4 people went to the bathroom at different times while we were waiting for our check. Lol. But servers were all very nice. 2) there are a lot more geese this year. A lot of large geese droppings every where. Lol. My poor little ones were grossed out when they accidently step in poop barefoot.
So watch where you are stepping. Conclusion I really liked this place. I recommend it. Maybe next time at The Bistro, we'll try a different dish and see how it is. I love the view. I love how servers were all very professional and nice. I love how they think about trying to make their guests comfortable. Id go here again!

Edgewood is amazing. Having spent a ton of time on the west shore and on Tahoe in general there isn't anything that can compare to Edgwood. Beautiful location and the nicest service staff I have ever met. Great place for a vacation, spa visit or corporate event. The sunsets are completely over the top amazing.

This place is fantastic and beautiful. Right on Lake Tahoe. The scenery is like heaven. Stopped into the Bistro for drinks and a bite. Service there was actually forgettable but food and drinks were delicious. This makes for a wonderful special occasion spot. We would love to stay for a weekend. Walk down to the beach and there's chairs to sit and soak up the wonderful views.

Amazing Service, Everyone was so accommodating. The views are beautiful and being able to relax on one of the plethora chairs or sofas near the fire pit is priceless. My wife enjoyed the Smores cart. Establishment is on the high price side but you get what you pay for. If I had to make one suggestion it would be that they quality control the short ribs. Ours was dry and lacked flavor although the couple next to us loved it. Beautiful golf course with friendly staff. Stay and play if you get the chance.

Poor service. Told them it was our honeymoon and they said they'd do something special. Nada. Fine. But when I brought it up to the woman at the front desk she just smirked and shrugged and asked me who I talked to. Beware the prices on Expedia, they're not reflective of what you'll end up paying. For example, they charged us automatically for parking - &25 a night.
We had no car and had to ask for this to be removed. We called the bistro and picked up lunch but when we called for dinner we were told we weren't allowed to pick up. We were obligated to have them bring it to our room for an additional 20% service charge. Just stay somewhere else in Tahoe - the lake is beautiful from anywhere.

The hotel was excellent, overall one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. It's in a perfect position on the lake to enjoy a beautiful mountain and lake view and they also have complimentary s'mores every night for there guests to enjoy. In the morning they also have free fruit, granola and coffee out. It was also on a great location in relation to the town. 10/10

Not friendly for disabled people. I'm here 7 months pregnant with a service dog and a husband with a disability and everywhere i go I get stopped even on the sidewalk saying we are not allowed. A lady even drove her van down to chase me down yelling "ma'am you cannot be here". So can I not walk on the sidewalk? Must I stay in my room and just hide from the world because I am disabled right now? Worst service and will not be back.
This has never happened to us and we've stated at over 20, 5 star hotels over the past 2 years. Also I found a few dead bird along the sidewalk, maybe get rid of that too.

Beautiful hotel right next to heavenly resort. They offer daily yoga classes and nature hikes. Glass of Prosecco upon arrival and daily complimentary smores and chocolates. We enjoyed the heated pool and the hot tub tremendously. Highly recommend. We also tried all three restaurants in the premises ans they were very nice

No doubt about it, Edgewood is aesthetically beautiful and the views are to die for. Our room was a big disappointment. It overlooked the parking lot and to add insult to injury, there was loud construction right outside our patio (dismantling a large deck) the whole time we were there. They knew we were celebrating our 33 year anniversary and that's the best room they could give us?
We ate at the Edgewood Dinner Restaurant the first night we were there. The the quality of food did not meet our expectations. We ordered scallops and lobster bisque soup for appetizer. We got 2 scallops for $28. The Lobster bisque had a tablespoon of lobster plopped in the middle, the rest was a creamy tomato soup mixed with corn. We both ordered the Filet Steak Combo which consisted of two tiny round steaks and three potato tots for the price of $65 each.
The portions at this restaurant are just ridiculous and the presentation is pretentious at best. I would have "loved" to have said this place has fabulous food, but unfortunately this was not the case. We did however love eating at the in house smaller restaurant call the Bistro. Service was stellar and the food was very good and prices were on point. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but will probably not come back.

Stop looking and start booking! And then get ready to pick your jaw up when you arrive at the property. We pulled in in April and this location is fantastic there was no snow on the ground at the resort when we got here but the pool was open. The view here is absolutely breathtaking. It's fantastic to look and see what God created. The hotel is spectacular.
There's attention to detail in everything that happened here. You're still nestled in the trees of Tahoe. Do you have the lake just outside your front door. And you can breathe in the fresh air. We walked into our room and it was immaculate. We have two queen beds for our family here. My kids loved how big the bathroom is. There's an amazing filter.
The little things here how it make a difference. They have a jar of candy for you when you walk in, they have full-size shampoo and conditioner, and great lotion. I highly encourage you to check this place out.

Special attention to every detail. The architecture is amazing. The level of service at all their restaurants was beyond my expectation. A few employees that stood out were Brewster, Ben, Jeff, and Kenny. I Proposed at the Champagne Chalet after a guided snow shoe adventure- everyone involved went above and beyond. Ate all the restaurants including Brooks Bar- zero disappointments.
Make reservations early especially at the Edgewood Restaurant. Beautiful place to eat while the sunsets! HEATED POOL and hot tub- it was 20-30 degrees and people were swimming in both Ice rink Smores to cook over a fire Tons of gas fireplaces with seating Amazing views from every restaurant and common area Lake view rooms were beautiful and included a gas fireplace that provided a great amount of heat.
Turn down service was great. Nice bathtubs with thick robes- many people wore these down to the pool On site ski rental- "ski butler" book with them and as you come down from your room the set you up and shuttle you to the mountain. Once your done they take it from you and you're all set ***make reservations early for rental equipment and restaurants. We didn't have to big of an issue but we were very flexible***

It's a gorgeous location and it's a good location to visit for dinner, drinks or a spa day. The site seems hit or miss if you are a hotel guest. It seems like some of the staff may be new and younger, so the level of hospitality you would expect for a resort like this is lacking. Our room key wasn't working and it seemed like the battery was dead on the room lock.
While trying to get into our room I explained this to a room server attendant who was just dropping off food for another room and just happened to be on our floor. His master key didn't even work and so I proceeded to go downstairs for help. I explained the whole situation with the front desk personnel and just kept giving me new keys and told me to go upstairs to try the new keys.
I finally told them that we should call engineering to check it out and I waited downstairs for a while the middle of the night. Staying at a hotel like this, they often offer water, tea or coffee while you wait for an unexpected inconvenience, but there was no hospitality in that regard. the hotel personnel at the front desk were just chatting away about their personal lives and the lobby was empty without any guests checking in or needing assistance.
I grew tired of sitting and waiting in the corner of the lobby and it didn't seem like I was going to be notified when it was done because they just said that engineering was on their way. I was tired of waiting and went upstairs to check on the issue myself and to talk to engineering who was actually at the room. I worked with them to get into our room and told me what to look out for if it happens again and to call their team. Gorgeous site, however hospitality staff has room for improvement.
Hope they can get it sorted out because it seems like a lot of other people who actually stayed at this site had issues with their stay. This has the potential to be world class and it was a bummer about the hiccup and lack of consideration/hospitality.

I just want to say that this property had the best customer service stay I've ever experienced in my life. Gregg was the best manager, and went above and beyond to accommodate our reservation snafoo. If you can, please make time to stay here. Between their amazing shuttle service, to their grade A restaurants, you won't have to realize that they have the best view in South Lake Tahoe. Thanks again Edgewood for providing us with the best snowy vacay we could have hoped for. Also, the ski butlers are amazing would recommend using if staying @ this hotel.

This is a top-notch hotel. Everything is impeccable. We received a glass of complementary Italian prosecco wine upon check-in. We booked a premium king room and it was far more spacious than we anticipated. The breakfast and dinner at the Bistro was wonderful. No need to mention the georgious lake view. Highly recommend for a visit, even just for a meal or coffee.

By far one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at. From the moment of check in until the moment at check out, the staff was extremely polite, professional and extremely attentive. The property is absolutely gorgeous with unbelievable views of Lake Tahoe. The hotel is in pristine condition. The rooms are very well appointed with extreme attention to detail.
The staff at the restaurant and bar are a pleasure especially Kenny the bar tender and Stephanie. The hot tub/pool are beautiful and clean, the daily s'mores are a nice touch as well. With easy access to ski at Heavenly moiuntain (there is a free shuttle), to the on site ski shop this is the ultimate five star experience. I would highly recommend this property to skiers, families, couples, friends trips, romantic getaway or anyone traveling through the Lake Tahoe area. A +++

Rarely do I give 5 stars, but this place is just amazingly beautiful. Service is great. Start off with Champaign from check in. Parking is easy and convenient. The rooms themselves are beautiful and honestly are just what I want for my future master bedroom (from the bathroom shower design to the bathtub to the floors and walls. Only thing I'd change it make the bathtub with a view looking outside and more spacious bedroom).
This is a perfect getaway from the crowded beaches. You can walk outside to a private lake view. We went in winter January so it wasn't crowded. The pool is nice and heated with robes. Lots of places to sit outside by a fireplace. The bars are pricey as expected. The room also has mini candies which are nice.

[Updated] Room service is really good. The lady was very nice and professional, prepared the table and explained their nifty push button for alerting then when the dirty dishes are to be picked up. Food is outstanding. [Updated] They have us a $75 credit, got the room ready 30min later. Room is very clean and exactly what we booked (full lake view). Just checked in, room isn't ready on time. Plus I have to keep questioning to get an answer on when the room will be ready. Will update as the stay goes.

We did a weekend getaway to this place and loved the experience. The staff was super helpful and the room was extremely clean and had nice little touches from delicious mini Belgian chocolates to soft lighting and fire place. We spent most of our time walking by the shores and also had in-room brunch- food was delicious, cleanly packed and service was outstanding including keeping our EV car charged. Will come back again for our next stay soon

Just checked in to the beautiful Edgewood Tahoe resort. Very disappointed to see our room has an obstructed view (half of patio is behind a wall) and we're directly above the main lobby doors. Great hearing and seeing everyone in their robes headed to the pool and eating s'mores. So romantic! They know it's an anniversary trip for us (30) but for some reason moved us from our original location at check in to this room. Very disappointing and even worse was the dismissive attitude when I asked if there were other rooms. Guess we should have stayed with the Hyatt!

My husband and I stayed at Edgewood Tahoe to celebrate our anniversary early. The resort is stunning and has a lot to offer but we have some mixed reviews regarding our stay. The valet parking is convenient but they do not offer the option to self park so there is an additional valet parking fee per night that isn't disclosed upon your booking.
The resort fees add up quickly as well and is taken out of your incidental fee after you've checkout. I only mention this for those who are not aware of the additional fees you pay while staying at a resort. The resort amenities they offered during our stay were morning yoga, evening smores, and a movie outside for the kids. There are some small fees for using the pool and room service as well.
Upon check in, we were given our key but not offered champagne like the guests before us (a small disappointment). We arrived at our room to find a beautiful view but dirty bathroom floors with a broken sliding door between the soaking tub and bedroom so was inoperable and I do not believe they took note that this was our anniversary stay because there is usually a small token from the resort in the room for special occasions but in this case there was not.
The room itself was nice and had a fireplace, small seating area, and balcony with additional seating. We did return to the desk to inform them of the dirty floors and broken door. The woman apologized and said she'd move us, however, we felt the room she wanted to move us to was a downgrade to the one we were in so we asked if they could come have the floors cleaned and door fixed while we were out.
They did come clean most of the bathroom floor but I cleaned the spots that were still dirty and the door was not touched. The stay overall was wonderful thanks to the views, surrounding area, coffee bar, shuttle, and restaurant on site, but there were some definite downfalls to our stay. Also, be sure to check your Folio to make certain you are being charged correctly. A lot of our stay felt as though we had to constantly check with the desk regarding our Folio being incorrect.

THIS FACILITY IS A SOLID 10! LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Customer Service is a 9 Run don't walk to this AMAZING LAKE FRONT South Shore location. It really doesn't get any better "Resort" wise in ALL of Tahoe! And I'm super particularl The ONLY real complaint was NO early check in. And trust me, we TRIED! They need to let you in earlier if possible. But, if you prepare they allow you to check your bags and head to the lake (3 min walk).
If your older or have issues walking, this place is PERFECT for you! It's very manageable and just gorgeous! The restaurant was just as impressive! I cannot wait to go back!
