Brett and Brendon are wonderful to work with! They communicated with us throughout the entire process and were able to suggest great song choices, when we were struggling. Brendon was an incredible DJ! He read the crowd and kept the party going up until the end. He also made sure the entire day ran smoothly. I would recommend them to friends and family, any day!

Brett was the best DJ! The music was exactly what we wanted, our dance floor was packed during the ENTIRE reception, it was great energy! Brett was also more than a DJ, he was always let us know what was happening next, how much time we had until the next event (speeches, cake cutting, etc), and even brought us drinks while were taking wedding photos in the cold rain! He goes above and beyond, highly recommend!

Brendon was an amazing DJ for our wedding! Leading up to the event both he and his dad Brett were very communicative and had lots of good ideas for us. We really wanted to come up with our own playlist to utilize during cocktail hour which went fantastic. They were on-time and enthusiastic throughout the entire process. Brendon ended up being the go to person for keeping us on schedule throughout the event and even had a funny surprise that led to lots of laughs (I won't ruin the surprise in case you use them yourselves!). These guys are amazing! From the moment we booked them they were a huge help. Brett went above and beyond what we were expecting from a DJ! He recommend vendors, worked with us on a timeline, and on the wedding day stepped up when our coordinator was unable to make it! On the big day he took behind the scene photos, kept us on track time wise, communicated with other vendors and photographer very well, and best of all always made sure my wife and I didn't have an empty cup! Between this Dj and our photographer they made our wedding a truly stress free day!

This review is a year overdue, but my husband and I are still getting compliments on how fun our reception was, and how guests had never seen so many people on the dance floor! That's all thanks to Brett! Working with Music Magic was a great experience from beginning to end. Brett spent the time to understand our taste, our guests, and what we wanted in music at both our ceremony and reception.

He exceeded our expectations with music that kept our guests dancing all night long. Brett also worked seamlessly with my wedding planner, photographer and videographer to make sure we were on track with timing and events, and even made a point to make sure my husband and I had drinks and were having a great time. As an event professional, Music Magic is a top recommendation for both wedding and event clients. Brett is always quick with responses and very helpful in providing information. Everything about our wedding was perfect, except for the DJ we unfortunately chose. A couple of weeks before the wedding, we specifically told Brett the kind of music we liked and disliked. We told him we do not like R&B or Rap, and wanted more country, house and pop. We gave him a playlist of over 100 songs that he could use, or use as an example of what kind of music we liked.

We also gave him a list of the songs we wanted to be played for certain events such as the garter toss and bouquet toss. We also said that for the exit from the ceremony song, we wanted to do something fun and leave with " The Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing. We wanted it played from the beginning, because the duet in the beginning is the best part of the song.

We were going to look at each other and mouth the words and then walk out dancing. Well what we got was a disaster. On your wedding day you want everything to be perfect and go the way you want it, but Brett had a different idea. He made our wedding the way that he wanted it. When it was time for us to exit the ceremony and walk back up the aisle, he completely skipped the beginning of "The Time of My Life"and went straight to upbeat part of the song.

My husband and I were caught off guard because that was not what we were expecting, but we went with it since we had no choice. During our reception, he completely forgot to announce the blessing before we ate. My husbands friend had something prepared to say, but because Brett forgot, he did the blessing after everyone ate. My husband chose "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye for his garter toss song. Brett decided to play "Pony" by Genuwine instead. Brett then decided to play the kind of music for dancing that we specifically said we didn't want.

It felt like an 8th grade school dance. He played songs like "Get Low" (to the windows to the walls song). We did not want to hear let the sweat drip down my balls at our wedding. I kept having to tell him to change the songs because they were just so bad. There was no reason for me to be requesting songs for him to play, when he had a playlist with an unlimited amount for him to play.

He must have gotten pissed off that I kept trying to control what he played, because at 11 he shut the music off and turned the lights on. I went to him and said " What about our exit song? You said you were going to play it at the end, and gather everyone outside." He said "It's 11, it's over". My mom had to plug in her phone and play the song we wanted over the speakers while he was packing up.

It was just so awkward and embarrassing. Brett is extremely unprofessional. I do not know how he has such good reviews, and I'm so disappointed in Edgewood for recommending him. Our wedding shouldn't have been about him and his ego. I didn't realize how much of an impact a DJ can make at your wedding. Choose wisely, and please don't choose music magic.

Brett exceeded our expectations of a dj for our wedding. We got married at the ritz in tahoe and he did an amazing job with music choices and keeping us in the loop with song requests. He called me before my wedding so we could go over the timeline and make sure we were on the same page! I was shocked, I absolutely loved that! He was overall amazing to work with and created an amazing atmosphere for my guests and I! He definitely was the perfect choice for my husband and I!

Brett was truly delightful to work with over the phone, and I really felt like he was going take care of us and help make the wedding exactly as I wanted it to go. The transition of communication over to our DJ, Dale, was smooth as well. And Dale was very accommodating in that he was able to get the music that I wanted for each section of the day - even the jurassic park them song that I wanted to be playing right before the ceremony.

He helped us stay on schedule and worked so well with our photographers to help the night run smoothly without any bumps. His wife was super sweet and also immensely helpful in organizing all of the wedding party for our grand entrance, and again, making the night run on schedule without feeling rushed. Dale was really good at reading the crowd and playing song requests too.

The dance floor was never empty, and many guests kept complimenting on how great the playlist was! If you're getting married in Tahoe, go with Music Magic, especially DJ Dale if you can get him, you won't regret it!

My husband and I were recently married at the Beach Retreat in South Lake Tahoe, and Brett was recommended for us to work with by our Wedding Planner. The DJ is such an important part of the Wedding, and since we were from out of Town we wanted to make sure that we were working with someone top notch. Brett went out of his way to meet with us, and to make us feel comfortable before our Wedding.

He listened to our request's and made great suggestions on how to keep our Wedding fun and running smoothly. On the Big Day, Brett was simply Amazing. The music was perfect, our Guest had a wonderful time and are still raving about how much fun they had dancing the night away! Brett even checked on my husband and I several times to see if he could get us something!

One of the best parts of our Wedding was made possible by Brett. My husband recently lost his father, and I have lost both parents so we really wanted to do a memorial song to honor those that have gone to soon, With Brett's help we asked everyone who had lost someone to come out and join hands and to sing a song with us in their honor. It was so beautiful and meaningful to so many. Making those kind of things possible are what makes an AWESOME DJ! I highly recommend using Brett for your Wedding or any event!

Had a fantastic experience with Music Magic. Covered all the bases for our celebration with multiple setups and zero down time transitions between each. Communication was excellent and Brett was prompt in returning calls and emails and reached out more than once on his own to simply say hi and check in. He kept us on course all night (we fell behind and didn't realize). Cocktail and dinner music choices were great and the music was not overwhelming or too loud like Ive seen at other weddings, the dance floor was PACKED! Great job all the way around!

The reason our wedding went as smoothly as it did was because of Brett. Seriously, he kept us on time more than the wedding planner! We had a noon wedding and we really wanted dancing. He really read the room and played just the right music! It was a party! Everyone (including my mom who has never danced) was dancing! He also played the music for our ceremony.

We had two soloists who said he was awesome to work with and talked about how professional he was and knowledgeable about the equipment. My soloists say that it is not always the case, but couldn't have been happier with Brett. If you're planning a wedding in the Lake Tahoe area, you definitely need to call Brett.

It's a very tough decision when trying to pick the right DJ for your wedding because they really are the ones who will make or break a party.but with Brett, he MADE it fantastic and much more! His personality was so fitting with our group and he definitely knows how to keep the party going all night long. Brett is simply amazing and by far the BEST DJ I have ever dealt with.

Brett is hands down one of the best Dj's in the business. Always very accommodating with his clients, knows how to keep the dance floor packed and the party going all night long. So many dj's just play music, Brett knows how to read the crowd and change up the song if it's not working. I have seen him in action a few times always give it 110 percent.

I worked with Brett from start to finish at my friends wedding that I was coordinating. He was formal, fun and very hands on, offering assistance and helpful suggestions where needed for things that I had honestly overlooked. We had a few last minute changes that weren't discussed in our planning meetings and he adjusted seamlessly. His music selections were spot on throughout the night, from cocktails and dinner, to the songs that kept everyone dancing. Brett went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time, in particular the bride and groom, who were over the moon with the evenings festivities and are still receiving compliments about their incredible wedding a month later!

I have to say, working with Brett was a pleasure! He made our song choice submission nice and easy with an online survey link we filled out. He called to check in a week prior to go over final details, timeline and song choices. All throughout he seemed organized and completely open to our requests, while also offering advise/suggestions. The day of, he arrived early and was very personable and professional.

Working with Brett from Music Magic was a great experience! From the beginning he was professional and handled all the details of our wedding. For our wedding day our DJ was Dale and he was the best! He called me prior to the event to make sure that we were on the same page with the timeline for the reception. He offered great ideas and suggestions and most importantly the music rocked!

I used Music Magic in previous years for a corporate event, the DJ's are fantastic, that's why when it came to our wedding they were the first ones we thought of! I was sad to here that the previous owner Billy had passed in 2010, but the new owner is even better if that was even possible. The night went off without a hitch, they had everything coordinated with the caterers and photographer so we didn't have too!

What a a huge relief. The DJ knew just what to play and when, the dance floor stayed packed! I had three or four friends ask where I found these guys, I was overwhelmed by the response to our choice, way to go Music Magic! I look forward to using you in future.

Had a horrible meeting with this DJ. it got to the point where it was so awkward it was uncomfortable and even embarrassing. we just wanted to serve ice cream at our wedding and he made it seem like it would ruin the whole evening and it wasn't something he could work with. Really?. we are not the first couple wanting to serve ice cream at their wedding and aren't dj's supposed to work with you? he totally fixated on this issue and he didn't allow us to talk about anything else. finally, he got up and said goodbye while we were mid conversation and still sitting at the table; awkward, unprofessional and even a bit childish.

I have since talked to other dj's about this encounter and they have all said he's a very nice guy. Sorry to say we didn't see any of that. We went with another dj who is willing to work with us. Mike should be a little more accommodating and understanding to his possible clients. The day is not about you and your ego Mike.
