Dresser Mansion was built in 1919 for Carl and Pauline Dresser of Bradford, Pennsylvania. At Dresser's father's instruction, "Go west young man" Carl, at age 29, brought his family to Tulsa and moved into his new mansion in November of 1920. Dresser Industries produced a pipeline coupling that revolutionized the oil industry. The couplings are still used today. The style of the mansion is Italian Renaissance. The exterior stucco walls contain ground marble dust, and the stucco was hand applied by Italian artisans.

Most accommodating, beautiful venue ever. The Italian painted venue is full of beautiful rooms and a picturesque courtyard perfect for everything from an intimate dinner party to a large wedding completely indoors, outdoors or a mix of both. Charlie & his staff were so welcoming & helpful, they have tables & chairs there for no extra charge, other vendors were extremely familiar with this venue & happy to work with them.
Our wedding & our photos turned out beautiful. We were extremely happy with every aspect of our wedding & it was as stress free as one could wish for. Our guests had a wonderful time & the location was perfect our out of town guests & our after parties. Could not have asked for anything more.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact there are so many levels and stairs. However, upon leaving we found a graveled path/driveway just to the west of the building. It was a bit of an uphill walk, but at least I was able to use my walker and those with canes were able to maneuver with an escort. Beautiful venue at an historic Tulsa mansion. The wedding was gorgeous.

This place is a good size for small weddings and it is pretty. The problems I saw included, it needed alot of maintenance repair that gave the inside of this place to look run down. For example, a bathroom was out of order because the ceiling caved in, the railing used to be velvet but were so worn that strings of material would come off in your hand, the stairs had scuffed marks all over from continuous walking, and the doors/windows were impossible to open without help due to the old framework and locks not being taken care of.
Another problem was all the staircases and steps to go into any part of the Mansion. It's exhausting when you're part of the bridal party and you're constantly having to go up and down. This place is not handicapped accessible. The only flat part is outside in the backyard. Which is also small. Don't come here if you're trying to social distance. If you do, only invite 50 people or less to your event. Again it is pretty and has a early 1900s look but I recommend visiting this place in person first.

I fell in love with the Dresser Mansion the minute we toured it! We absolutely loved it as our wedding venue. It's beautiful and historic and perfect! The owner, Charlie, is really personable and friendly, as well as accommodating to your needs as a bride/host (although sometimes difficult to get a hold of). He was able to work with me last minute to make major changes to layout because of a reduced number of attendees (COVID-19 cuts!).
The venue is gorgeous and mostly well maintained. The bridal and grooms suites were a perfect place to gather and get ready before the wedding! The only reason I'm giving a 4 star instead of 5 is that because the owner is there the whole time (a good thing!) and they do back-to-back-to-back weekend weddings (we were married on a Sunday), things weren't totally set up/ready for us when we arrived.
I was planning to do set up myself with some family and had only set aside an hour. If you book Dresser, I would suggest you give yourself extra time to decorate or designate that to a non-bridal party member! Otherwise, a lovely and perfect wedding venue!

Dresser Mansion was the perfect location for our wedding. I can't imaging getting married anywhere else. This historic home is beautiful & unique and our guests enjoyed exploring it and taking pictures throughout. Charlie is the nicest person and is so easy to work with and will do anything he can to make your event perfect. In addition to being such a beautiful location it's also one of the most affordable locations in Tulsa. Other venders (caterers, photographers, etc.) enjoy doing events there & that made planning the wedding so much easier.

Lovely venue! I worked with a bride who was married here in July. The building itself is a lovely old mansion that has been very well cared for. It is very well suited for small to medium sized weddings. It has a lovely large room with a fireplace, large dining room, pretty courtyard complete with a tent area and a gazebo as well as another large ballroom right off the courtyard.
Lots of areas for guests to mingle and enjoy each other. Upstairs is a perfect setup for the bridal party to get ready and take some beautiful photos. Charlie (the owner) is so friendly and easy to work with. He does his best to make sure your experience is perfect for your big day. I would definitely recommend Dresser to anyone looking for a beautiful backdrop for a wedding or special event.

I wanted to let any prospective clients of the Dresser Mansion know it is a wonderful place to host your event! We had my daughters wedding there on 6/3/2018 and it was a 5 star event at a 5 star venue. Charlie from the Dresser staff was a joy to work with and to communicate with. At the end of the night when we were all throughly exhausted, the staff was SO helpful even with the clean-up. 5 STARS and I would certainly book another event here in a heart beat!

My daughter was married at the Dresser Mansion on June 3, 2018. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with not only the facility but with the staff. Everything was as described to us and Charlie, who is on staff, was a delight to work with and talk with. At the end of the night when we were thoroughly exhausted the staff helped us with cleanup. I would highly recommend this venue for any event you may have!

I got married here on April 8th and it was wonderful! The mansion is absolutely gorgeous. They keep up the grounds really well- beautiful flowers and the grass was perfect in the courtyard. Everyone who works there was very nice and helpful with anything we needed, including the owner. I absolutely recommend it!

I was married here on October 10, 2015. It was a gorgeous fall day (perfect weather for Oklahoma) and the grounds were perfection. Charlie (the owner) was wonderful. Bethany was on maternity leave, but her colleague was able to help us throughout the day. From the beginning, I knew we were working with great people. That was really important to both of us.
They care about their clients, and are not unreasonable people. Bethany is wonderful and answered my many emails about specifics of the space--especially as I was out of town planning it. The mansion is perfection. We planned our wedding across the country living in NYC. To get more ideas of how other people use the space I would recommend going on Instagram and looked at tagged photos, as well as the location tag for Dresser Mansion. It's so fun!

My son just got married here Feb 28. I would highly recommend the mansion for smaller weddings. It is beautiful and very romantic. Beautiful accommodations for the groomsmen, bride and her attendants and even the parents. Our guests enjoyed roaming through the mansion and we received countless compliments on the gorgeous location. Charlie, the owner, was very friendly and accomodating. I can't say enough how nice the experience was.

My first time at Dresser! I was excited to see what this place was like. The mansion outside is really pretty. The inside is nicely decorated, also. The levels are a bit weird (split level?), which makes for some pretty interesting exploring if you get the chance. Like an earlier Yelper said, this place is a bunch of small rooms. I came for a wedding and people had to stand around the sides and out into the hallway because the room was so small during the ceremony. The backyard is nice and large, though. Take away if you want this place for a wedding, Lots of people = keep everyone outside Teeny wedding = a-okay!

I have been to Dresser Mansion on many occasions for different reasons, weddings, benefits, dances, etc. Dresser is a very nice place, elegant and romantic. The biggest downfall I have with it is that it is a mansion. By that I mean there are lots of small sized rooms for guests to meander around without a large main room or ballroom. This makes it hard to get around.
It also makes it hard to socialize with everyone. Everyone is clumped in their own little rooms. There is one room that is slightly larger than the rest which is where everyone seems to set up as the dance room and toast/ speech room during weddings. It's only the size of a modest sized house living room. Try craming a 7 piece band, tables, and lots of people in here. I've done exactly that before on several occasions and it is not comfortable.
Everyone wants to see the bride and groom cut the cake and at Dresser they usually put the cake in a tiny side room that walks out to the courtyard. This means only 15 to 20 very cramped people get to watch the cake cutting. The courtyard is very nice but at the typical event the courtyard is only used as a get away from the stuffiness of inside. All of the weddings I've been too have utilized the courtyard for the ceremony and then not used it as anything more than overflow during the reception.
Everyone I have ever taked to has felt the same way about their experience at Dresser. It's cramped and does not promote a social atmosphere. When your at an event or wedding you want to see everyone and socialize but here it is very hard to do so.
