Larry was beyond helpful and quick to respond to any question/concerns that I had. Very personable and calming during stressful times! He's a genuine sweetheart and it was a pleasure getting to know him during our wedding.

Realized very late in the wedding planning process that we did indeed need a DJ. Larry had an opening, and was very flexible with working with us. The music at the reception was a little louder than we would have liked, and perhaps more oriented towards pop dancing than the group at the wedding was really into, but considering it was at the last minute and we didn't really give specific instructions I was overall quite pleased.

Very shady owner and company. I have been a professional musician for 16 years, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting & Mass Communication from Baldwin-Wallace University, and have experience as a radio DJ & producer. The owner, Larry Thompson, hired me to DJ a wedding reception at the last second, and never paid me and would not return my text messages or phone calls.

He's a coward and a scam artist. Stay away from this company. They are very shady and unprofessional. UPDATE: Larry Thompson continues to slander me, which is now grounds for civil litigation. I never met Larry, he was not at this event, nor was I ever tested for anything. I was not under the influence of anything, and this is his pathetic, fabricated excuse for not compensating me and not returning any of my messages or calls. Furthermore, Larry was scrambling around last minute to find a DJ for this event.

That is why I never met him, and that is why I agreed to do the wedding last minute (it was literally the night before), even though he knew I had never DJ'd a wedding before. My attire was perfectly fine for a DJ, as I was not part of the wedding party. Khaki shorts and a button down shirt was more than OK for this event - especially since I was notified last-minute. Thus, Larry Thompson used this as an excuse to withhold my pay.

If he had such a problem with me, why did he let me DJ the entire night? He had no problem with me performing for 8 hours, and only decided after the event not to pay me. Of course I had no idea what was going on because he's a coward and wouldn't return my messages or phone calls.

I have attended several events with Larry as a DJ. It's showtime for him and his passion is conveyed. Thompson Entertainment offers beautiful up lighting and a photo booth in addition to a meticulous playlist. At an event where guests weren't interested in dancing, he still found ways to involve the crowd. Their prices are affordable as well.

We had the DJ for our school dance. The students had a blast! The students loved the special effects like the lights and smoke machine! The DJ was very nice and took suggestion of songs that we wanted to play to go with our theme. We will book him again next year!

I can only speak of my own experience with Larry, but he was extremely professional in our meetings prior to our wedding. The day of, he kept the reception flowing, played our song choices, and took requests from guests and played them. He was on time, communicated well, and we had no issues whatsoever.

I LVE this company! Both Larry and his Wife are very prefessional yet help create a at home comfort. We have used them for several occassions including our childrens Birthday parties. They alwaus have the funnest props for the photo booth and the music chosen has always just been perfect for each occasion. I would highly recommend them. My family has even hired Larry to come as . I can not say enough. We have used them for years and will continue to do so. Great prices, great people.

We were very impressed with our 2 meetings with Larry before our wedding. He seemed professional. He played our ceremony music perfectly, but after that it was all down hill. I was told that his assistant (wife) was playing Angry Birds during our CEREMONY & on her phone the whole night! Guests complained that the music was too loud, they had to shout to hear each other even during dinner.

They could not understand anything Larry said into the mic (too loud/muffled). He played a game to dismiss tables, no one could hear him to play. During our meetings we discussed starting with "classic wedding" music & having more current "club" music for the last hour. As soon as dinner was over, he started to play club music. None of the guests were dancing besides the bridal party.

The bride had to ask a bridesmaid to get him to change the type of music. After he changed the music, the dance floor was full, but for the last hour & a half he went back to music that no one was dancing to again. There is an online planning tool, which we thought was great, but soon learned he wasn't using it. We also only listed 8-9 "must play" songs & he didn't even play all of them!

There was a section for dedications with notes on who it was dedicated to - he did 3 of the dedications when they were not even in the hall or during pictures. At one point we cleared out some songs from our requests and it seems like he played all of the songs we deleted instead of the ones we requested. We discussed a family friendly atmosphere & he played the UNEDITED DMX Up in Here.

We were so preoccupied with trying to "mingle" we did not realize it was the end of the night until he said last 2 songs one was Cotton Eyed Joe (the bride asking him not to play) & he played country anyway (2 people danced). The GROOM requested 2 songs & they didn't play them! We didn't feel it was our responsibility to direct music-that's what a DJ is for! He didn't reply to our evaluation to explain/apologize. Really disappointed. So disappointed we're putting this review on every site!

An amazing Entertainer to work with, he's great with the crowd and his speakers and light show is awesome! He made our wedding day stress free and made sure everything went smoothly! Very cool fog machine for grand entrance : I highly recommend the photo booth really great quality and so many props to use! Thank you for making our party a big hit

Wow. Interesting that another posting has poor reviews. I have determined that Larry Thompson and his company are also indeed very shady. When they arrived at my brothers wedding, everything was fine until the photobooth printer wasn't working. After an hour and a half, it started to print. The next morning, Larry called and said he would give me a refund along with send copies of the photos that never came out of the printer.

The wedding was over 2 months ago and I am still waiting. When I call from my cell phone in their system, the call automatically drops, which means he's blocked incoming calls from me. Do not use this company. Run the other way. I only rated them 1 Star because something was required. Very unprofessional.
