Services
The Conrad Botzum Farmstead, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is located in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, at 3486 Riverview Road, Akron, Ohio, between Bath and Ira Roads. We are on the West side of the road, with a small sign and wood corral gate and fence. The long gravel driveway takes you across the Towpath Trail and across the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad tracks, and up to what is called 'the second bottom'. It's a very fertile plateau about 50 feet above the Cuyahoga River.
Imagine a country wedding and reception, surrounded by the beautiful hills of the Cuyahoga River Valley. Weddings and receptions are the most popular type of events. We have had brides arrive at the Farmstead in a horse drawn carriage and by limousine. From paper plate barbecues to china and crystal stemware banquets. There have been flowing gowns and tuxedos and short dresses and blue blazers with khakis. A range of decor to suite any taste.
Located on 25 acres of beautiful farmscape, and we're only 15 minutes from downtown Akron, and 40 minutes from downtown Cleveland. We have hosted corporate picnics, business meetings, a new book introduction and signing (including lunch), 'after five' parties, birthday parties and wedding anniversaries, barn dances, hayride and bonfire gatherings and, we forgot to mention, rehearsal dinners. We do it all at The Conrad Botzum Farmstead! Host your next event on our beautiful property. Your options are limitless.
Our Bank Barn seats 170-180 guests with round tables, reserving space for a catering line and music with dancing on the deck. Our 25' x 45' covered deck can also be utilized for overflow seating to accommodate an additional 30-40 guests. The entire side of the barn opens to the deck allowing all guests to feel included.

We stopped by because it shows that it's part of the National Park. We were rudely turned away by (what seemed to be) the wedding coordinator because they were (in the early stages of) setting up for a wedding.

Beautiful place, the whole atmosphere is just so full of history and make you appreciate what it is. Thanks to the owners that they helped with everything they made us feel like home

Nice place, but the Karen renting the wedding barn acted like she owned the place and wanted me to leave. Maybe she was afraid I'd steal the bride to be

It was ok, some spots held up with duct tape, another spot the board was broke to hold up the beam. The barn in general was a lil scary. Yard was huge and nice to hold the actual wedding! Somethings needed some TLC!

Very "country" venue, attended a wedding there. Boots and jeans needed. Dress for the weather because the barn doors remain open. Charming.

Lovely site for a wedding. Mosquitos were a nuisance. Should have been sprayed for insects.

Came for a wedding and the venue is beautiful. It became about 40F degrees quickly in the evening and this location has no heat so pack a thick warm coat.
