Went to party at Louisiana Castle. The venue was nicely decorated. The food was cold and absolutely horrible. Tasteless, unappealing overcooked and not a good selection overall. The staff was not friendly.

My wife and I WAS going to have our wedding here BUT my parents paid for another venue to help us save some money. We did manage to get a tour and we was impressed inside and out!

Kept our deposit after we had a tragedy causing our wedding to cancel. Do not use this place!

My husband and I recently got married at the Louisiana Castle. We were very excited to get married at this venue as it's very beautiful. They have a cottage that you can rent out that's convenient. This venue had an opportunity to have a 5 star review, however, fell short in the fact that they played the wrong music during our ceremony. My husband was supposed to walk down to melodic violin piece accompanied by piano but instead walked down to Dynamite by BTS. However, everything else went without a hitch once we informed the coordinator that the reception music was being played during the ceremony.

They corrected the issue and thankfully my bridesmaids walked to the correct music. Both Mary and Dolly are very kind as well as helpful. The decorations were beautiful and the food was great. The cake was perfectly decorated and tasted great. We loved getting to stay in the castle overnight. That was such a unique experience that was very fun. Overall, I feel this venue still has potential to be a great place to get married.

My husband and I were married here on 11/20/2021. We had a Scottish wedding and it was a blast! We had the ceremony outside with an indoor reception. Mary and Steve made it amazing! They are the sweetest family! The cake was delicious as well as the food! We brought our own groomsmen cake and they provided the wedding cake, pineapple and almond.sooo good!

I provided fake flowers for the wedding cake and they did such a great job placing them and decorating it! The decorations for the castle were just outstanding and beyond my expectations! We were not very organized. I thought I had all of the music finished, but the DJ and Mary helped pick a few songs we needed like for the bridesmaids to walk down to etc.

They are also very accommodating. I wanted a large table for our favors, trees and a candy bar. I also wanted a table for pictures of our loved ones who are no longer with us and they helped us make that happen! The stairs may seem scary to walk down, but do not be afraid. I wore a long veil and Mary did warn me it may get caught on the cobble and it did!

I yanked it and all was fine! We all laughed and said I was not letting that veil take me down! I would not have changed a thing. I am sharing a lot of pictures to show the fun you can have here and how beautiful it is! The Castle will recommend vendors to you, one being a photographer, please be aware, I had a friend take our pictures so these pictures I am sharing are not by a professional!

Thank you Mary, Steve and Dolly for everything! Also a huge thank you to Suzanne Crawford with Tis So Sweet Bakery for the amazing wedding cake and the decorator, Stevie with Busy Bee Floral Design for the beautiful arrangements! If you are thinking of getting married here, go ahead and take the tour and decide for yourselves!

Our wedding was on 9/17/21. EVERYONE had recently been affected by hurricane Ida (including Mrs. Dolly-the owner) the previous week. Everything seemed to be falling apart from my outside decorator that cancelled, dress being destroyed, just everything lol. Once I arrived to the castle, I felt a huge weight lifted off of me! EVERYTHING about this place was exactly the way it was supposed to be.

Although they had personal issues due to the hurricane, the made sure that our wedding was absolutely amazing. No matter the time or day, Mrs. Dolly & Mrs. Mary was available to me for any questions or concerns. I will never be able to put into words how much of a blessing they were to us. May God continue to bless these ladies, and the entire staff that made our day perfect.

It was very pretty. They had an outside wedding. When it started to get dark the Christmas lights came on and there was candle light for the rest of the service. More like a sunset wedding. When the ceremony was over they went into the hall which is the castle. The cons: pretty far from New Orleans nice little drive. NOT handicapp friendly accessible lots of steps and a step hill.

Lots of deserted roads with no lights straight country roads. The entrance is not easily seen more like a fence and a flag you will miss it if you are not careful more like a road in the woods. But the it is a hidden gem for an intimate wedding. It's worth checking out if you don't mind the drive. If your looking for somewhere private this is for you.

I had the perfect wedding ceremony and reception at the Louisiana Castle on 6.23.2018. The owner, Dolly and the manager, Mary were always available and extremely helpful from Day 1 of the planning process. The day of the wedding was even more impressive. The entire staff made my day as the bride so easy. I was relaxed the entire time and everything ran with ease.

The food was also good. Trust me, I am not easy to please. I highly recommend having your fairytale wedding here. It will be a day you'll never forget and you will be very pleased from start to finish!

My husband and I stayed here over night for my husband and I's anniversary. It was absolutely beautiful with super friendly customer service. It was really a neat experience to have the whole castle to ourselves for the night. Very clean. Lovely room. Unique experience that we both enjoyed. Love the view and the overall feel!

My husband and I planned a 50-guest wedding ceremony & reception from VA - so in essence this was a destination wedding for us (he has a large family from Baton Rouge). From the get-go the crew was amazing. We started off working directly with Ms. Dolly through all the planning process. Ms. Dolly was always attentive and replied to all my emails (I think there were around 50, lol) in a timely manner - timely manner to me is key.

The website made it easy to find referrals on local vendors. The only con, the cake page is outdated. If you pick one of their packages, double check with their cake vendor before you start overanalyzing the pics online. Ms. Julie did our wedding cake and groomsmen cake - it was spot on with the colors and floral decorations. I literally googled a pic and send it to her to work her magic.

We had a fondant and butter cream cake and then a red velvet groomsmen cake - definitely get a red velvet if it works for you. The day of the wedding, that's when I met the wonderful Ms. Mary. My in-laws were 45 minutes late and I was assured they were prepared and reassured that things would continue to move along as planned. She even gave us some extra time to offset the delay.

I couldn't say enough about everyone on the team. And the venue, made for fantastic photo ops! Can't wait to get those! The Louisiana Castle made our wedding a memory we'll never forget!

I attended a wedding this past weekend at The Wedding Castle. I arrived early (along with the wedding party) because I had arranged with mother of bride to help her with last minute setup. I had a unique perspective because I was able to see the Castle staff in action. Ms Mary the Castle wedding coordinator was excellent. Very organized and no nonsense approach yet kind at the same time. Staff members were very polite and "on top of things" which all made for a perfect day. Beautiful venue, delicious food, great experience!

My wedding day was a magical fairytale! Everything thing went according to plan! I had my own cd for the ceremony which worked perfectly! Ms Mary, the coordinator was amazing! She made sure everything went as planned! The cakes were so nice and all of the food was delicious! I couldn't have had a better wedding day! It was a day I will never forget and I guarantee you will love this place!

I have seen some negative reviews and all I can say it that in most of them they are complaining about something that clearly is in the contract to not do! Abide by the contract (like any other venue) and your day will be absolutely wonderful! Mine was! Please check them out and see for yourselves!

My buddy got married here several years ago. BIG mistake on the choice of the chick, but BIG hit on the choice of venue! It's a little bit out of the way, but who cares? It's WAY better than going all the way to some fancy ballroom in the city somewhere. The structure is really nice and the interior is very well done. After being in the wedding at the castle, it quickly rose to the top of the list of places I'd like to get married if that day ever comes, that's for sure.

Even the room where the groomsmen get dressed and all that look really nice and are done well with the woodwork and the antique feel. The bridal party got dressed in an upper room in the keep, so I didn't get to see that room but I was told it was incredibly nice. Now, this was a few years ago, but I'm sure not much has changed. I remember the grounds being heavily wooded with good parking, though.

I do remember the food being just OK, but, you know. wedding food. It's not a 5 star restaurant or anything like that. Hell. I'd get married here if it were up to me personally. Lol.

Trust Jennifer B to come up with a truly unique wedding venue. Loved the kitschy castle theme. And the wedding planner lady who told us what to do (I got to be a bridesmaid) was on point. The outdoor vows ceremony location was lovely amongst the pines. I just had to convince little miss flower girl to not wander off to pick up the pine cones. The reception hall is a little more generic.well, reception hall.

I wish it had been warmer to have enjoyed the back patio more, especially since I learned after the fact that there was a full suit of armor back there. Be warned that this is not some historic building built by a crackpot in the 19th century. This is totally modern venue with a retro look. The parking lot was unpaved and did not have much lighting so was little challenging after dark.in heels.

But c'mon on your in the country. I only wish we could have take photos while wearing/using the swords/helms/other armor-type items. Understandably we were not allowed to remove them from the walls. At lease Jennifer & her new husband got to take photos while ensconced on the thrones.

Alrighty. post-wedding update time! I'm still happy that I found this place. Really - who would have known there was a castle in Franklinton? I managed to avoid going into Bridezilla mode, and this is mostly due to the staff at the Castle. They seriously took care of everything for me, other than the tiny details like a wedding dress, bridal bouquets, etc.

It was great. All I had to do was avoid falling face-first down the steps leading to the ceremony (success!) The managers are very discreet about finding you and keeping you on schedule without getting in the way. Oh, and staying overnight in the castle? Awesome! They put leftover food/cake in the mini fridge upstairs in the Juliet Suite (yes, there is a balcony) in case you get hungry (you will).

The hot tub on the patio is amazing, regardless of the weather. It was FREEZING cold outside for our wedding night, but the water inside the hot tub was wonderful. If anyone is looking for a cool venue with tons of fun photo opportunities (throne room? heck yes!), I highly recommend the Louisiana Castle.
