Gabrielle's The Classic Bride

I found my dress at Gabrielle's, but even if I hadn't it was such a wonderful experience! The ladies there took every step to care for me and find what I was looking for, including accessories. They are experts in their profession and I have complete trust that the alterations will also be done perfectly. My mother also wants to go back for her dress. I absolutely recommend this shop!

I had my wedding dress altered here (hemmed, bustled, etc.) and everything turned out beautifully! They took great care of my dress and scheduled multiple fittings until everything was perfect. The staff is very friendly and was understanding when I need to occasionally reschedule an appointment. I also really appreciated the thorough quote at the beginning (which was reasonable) with no surprises/hidden fees later on. Overall, definitely recommend :) Sharing pictures of pre-alterations and some afterward at our wedding!

I chose this dress shop because of the experience. I went to 5 dress shops and could've found a dress at each, but the affability of the ladies at Gabrielle's is what made a difference for me. They were kind, non-pressuring, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable from the beginning to the end of the wedding dress-buying-process. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Myself and my whole family are just in love with this shop. The ladies running the boutique are amazing. They are super attentive and detail oriented and truly go above and beyond to help their clients. They even work with you on budget. Trust me, skip the David's Bridal. You'll have a better dress at the same price ranges. They offer a full range of gowns from high end to elegant and affordable.

Mine ended up being a silk dress from a designer in Canada. off the clearance rack. They were able to work with us for a traditional Scottish wedding. I asked them to create a rosette from a delicate, hand woven scarf from Scotland. They did so in a way that preserved the silk scarf and seamlessly attached it to my wedding dress. Fast forward two years, We moved to another state. Gabrielle's is seriously the best, so this week I drove 6 hours to have them do my evening gown alterations for my sister's wedding.

In fact, my whole family is using them again for her wedding now. We all highly recommend this shop. Words cant capture the experience well enough. I am so thankful to have found this gem. Also the best seamstress in town!

Finding my dream dress started and ended here! Being plus size is so hard when you cant normally try on anything. The ladies here were SO KIND AND HELPFUL! Icant recommend them enough! They made my day perfect because of it

After searching everywhere in Lafayette, I found a dress I really loved but the boutique in Lafayette was impersonable, pushy, and seemed to just want to make a sale. So, I searched online for boutiques that carried the designer I loved for my wedding dress and came across Gabrielle's. I called and Cathy was so sweet, helpful, and even suggested another dress that was very similar to the one I originally wanted but was $500 cheaper than the one I thought I wanted!

I finally made it to Baton Rouge a couple weeks later, to try the dress they recommended. Helen was the one who assisted me and she was just as sweet as Cathy! While I was talking with Helen, Cathy had recognized my voice from talking to her on the phone and came over to talk to me and check and make sure I was finding what I needed. I cannot say enough great things about these two beautiful ladies!

So sweet and made you feel like family! I will ALWAYS recommend Gabrielle's Bridal to anyone. They saved me money and the headache of dress shopping. They also do in-store alterations! Which takes the stress of having to find another place to go to. To top it off not only did they have the designer I wanted, but the dress I tried on was so much prettier and more flattering than the one I originally just had to have at the other boutique! If I could give them more stars I would!

I called and asked if they would accept a walk in appointment. She said yes, 12:30. I wasn't quite sure where I was going so I happened to arrive early. When I walked in Kathy greeted me and immediately helped me pull dresses to try on. I put on one dress and stood on the pedestal and the other lady walked over, put her glasses down her nose and asked me if I was the one that called?

I told her yes ma'am I did. She said I told you 12:30, I'm busy with another bride right now. Took of the dress and didn't try on another one. Don't be rude to customers who will potentially be spending thousands of dollars and I wasn't the only one she passed rude comments to in the store.

We went in to this bridal shop today, the woman helping us was very kind and accommodating even though they do not have a big selection of plus size bridal gowns ( maybe 6 total). The other woman that was there made a rude comment to each one of us. I didn't expect that kind of treatment at a bridal boutique. We left pretty quickly and will not be back.

My daughter's wedding dress was purchased at Gabrielle's. Her dress was exactly what she wanted. altered to fit perfectly and extremely reasonably priced. The ladies who worked with my daughter ARE amazing and made her feel like the special bride she was!

Hands down the best experience I had at a bridal boutique! The ladies were so nice and helpful, also made me feel like I was the queen of the day! I went to several shops around baton Rouge area the service and friendliness was NOT there and not helpful in my decision making process! Also, every woman knows that wedding gowns are quite expensive, so there is no need to tell me 5 times in a matter of 10 minutes that the gowns I'm looking at are over $2500.

Yes I'm fully aware and I don't care. That's why I didn't get my dress from them! Picking out your bridal gown should be memorable and exciting and the ladies at Gabrielle's made that happen for me! We got ALL our dresses from here! I 150% recommend this place to all the future brides! No judgements No issues Just pure fun and happiness! Thanks Kathy and your team!

The assistant and owner of Gabrielle's made our dress search so meaningful and fun! Ms. Beth was very helpful with realizing the type of dress my daughter was searching for with her expertise and experience. With any question she had about the possibility to make changes to existing dresses, we were met with a yes and solutions. Their gowns are stunning, high quality, reasonable prices.

I came here to get my daughters dress altered I was in search of a mother of the brides dress. the owner proceeded to put me in a bridesmaids dress, I wasn't happy because the top did not cover my arms. when I told her that she proceeded to put a shawl around me, then I told her that the Shaw was something I would have to pull on all night to keep it on me. when I told her that she proceeded to tie a knot in the back of it. no matter what I told her she was determined that I purchased the dress.

I felt very pressured I got tired of trying to be nice about it so I finally paid for the dress because I couldn't make her understand how I felt. I paid for the dress then I got my receipt. After three days of crying about the dress I decided I would call her to get my money back or use the money towards my daughters alterations. I was told no then I looked at the receipt and I saw that all sales are final it was written on the receipt after I purchased the dress. the dress needed alterations so therefore it never left her store it is still there now.

It saddens me that a person can do this to people on such a special day as the wedding day. Obviously her business must be in trouble if she needs to take money from people in this way she has my $300 and the dress hopefully she can sell it again and make more money. As a business owner myself I cannot see doing this to people it makes me very sad for her, and her business, and her future customers. I would just like people to know that once you purchase an item from this business you are not allowed to return it no matter what. I hope that she puts my $300 to good use.

I recently went in with a friend to purchase her wedding dress. We loved the young girl that was helping her look for her dress, but we have not seen her since then. We did end up purchasing our bridesmaid dresses from there and upon getting sized for them, I was told repeatedly by the lady, older and not sure of her name, that I had no hips. She must have said this 5 or 6 times.

I am not someone who is subconscious about my body, but I felt like she was rude and going over board. When I had to go get fitted for my dress I was told again that I had no hips and this time no butt, which was also repeated multiple times during this visit as well. A few other girls were in the wedding were also insulted. one was told she had no butt as well and the other was told to get a tan.

I felt the lady was very rude and inconsiderate of other peoples feelings. I would not suggest going to this establishment unless you want to get insulted and put down when you're getting fitting for your dress.

Gabrielle's literally saved my wedding. I searched for my dress for months and ordered it from Olivier Couture in Mandeville, but they ordered it 3 sizes too large! I brought my dress to Helen to see if she could perform a miracle and tailor the dress down to fit properly. She was very frank with me and said "This is stupid big. I can make it fit, but it will not look like the dress you tried on." I was crushed.

She ended up calling the designer and was able to get my dress in the correct size delivered in a few weeks! I went in thinking I was going to have to start my dress search all over and left being so thankful for the ladies at Gabrielle's.

My experience at Gabrielle's was ok. I was really excited when I found my dress. They gave me 2 roses when I decided it was the one. As the progression of the wedding date got closer, I started having issues. The owner, Helen, made me feel like I was not worthy of wearing a dress from her shop. I called and talked to HER about picking up my dress for bridals.

When I went in, she said "Honey, it has to be steamed and that will take some time and be $100". I asked why this wasn't told to me when I called to schedule the pickup. She said, "Well, who did you talk to?" She did not believe me when it was her. When she loaded it into my vehicle, she treated me like a child when I tried to help, telling me "No, don't touch it!" The other ladies that worked there were really nice and sweet though.

Best service in town! These ladies worked to fit my style, budget and timeframe! They weren't pushy or rude about anything. Joan found me the best deal in the entire store (orginally $1275, i got it for $300) and I walked out with the dress of my dreams in less than a half hour. My bridal gown buying experience could not have been better. Especially after weeks of frustration. I LOVE MY DRESS! Thank you ladies! :)
