Rush's burgers are freshly ground to our specifications by Ole Timey Meat Market located just around the corner from our restaurants having no need to be frozen. Other fast-food restaurants may claim their burgers are "non-frozen" yet they truck the meat from hundreds or thousands of miles away. We came from simple beginnings and over 80 years have grown into a nationally respected local brand. In 1940, the Rush family operated a little frame drive-in at the edge of their multi- acre dairy farm on two-lane Broad River Road which was the only road from Columbia leading to Lake Murray and the Upstate.
Rush's has a consistent but varied menu: burgers, hot dogs, chicken, dairy treats, and suppers to go. We prefer being authentic, straight forward, and unapologetically NOT a trendsetter. No mystery meat in our establishment. Our food is never frozen or microwaved and prepared right in front of you because you feel more confident seeing what is going on in the kitchen.
Rush's has a long history of supporting the neighborhoods that make each of our restaurants thrive. Call us old-fashioned, but we believe in the people that work and eat at Rush's. That means doing our share in our communities: Columbia, West Columbia, Lexington, and Camden. With due consideration of budgetary limitations, we continually seek ways we can give back to the community we serve.

Can't reach anyone. Their phone number goes to an automated voice menu for telephone service. Trying to let them know I purchased a chocolate shake and nearly choked to death. It had chunks of Oreo cookies in it. I was choking so bad that I had to pull off the road. Thankfully I coughed it up, but it took a long time and was very scary. I could have caused a traffic crash.

Awesome as usual! Very tasty! No problems at any of the Rushes locations! Been going ever since I was a kid and my grandparents would always choose Rushes over McDonald's! Wish there were a million more Rushes through the state of South Carolina than all of the other fast food restaurants. Will be returning here with more of my friends with my husband very soon!

I haven't been to a Rush's in years and decided to get something because it was close by. It was okay. I definitely remember it tasting better. The Oreo milkshake was definitely filled with Oreos, but it was too watery to be considered a milkshake. The burger was a nice size, but it needed a little seasoning. I would give this experience a 3.5.

We came here for a quick bite. We noticed that they have a lot of customers judging from the cars in the parking lot. It's a huge fast food restaurant where they call your orders on a microphone and the cook prepares it. I thought everything was great (fast service, plenty of parking, spacious interior) until our food came. The chicken meat was fatty and it seemed like it's not cleaned properly. I have to pick the edible part from the meat but most of it went to trash.
