I attended a dance fest here just this last week. I was initially impressed by the wood floor and impressive amount of space for a dance of this size. There was adequate space for us, and the band had a prominent spot on the stage for the main dance. Unfortunately, the gym that was used for some of the dance classes has a hard tile floor (sticky and rough on my feet and knees), and the acoustics are poor with lots of echoes.
Our instructors had a tough time teaching us because of it. Finally, and worst of all, was how rude the site manager was at the end of the night. The band ended promptly at midnight. As I'd expect from a music venue, we were asked to leave promptly to assist in closing the place down. The manager was unplugging stuff before the band was even done playing, resulting in the lead singer's mike getting cut for a good 20-30 seconds.
After the dance, she was demanding people leave. I was holding a door open for my friend and those exiting and was told to "shut the door, now". The manager seemed rude and dismissive of sober people who were on their way out. Overall, this was a negative experience. I wouldn't hold an event here.

This is more of a review for the Ukrainian festival held at the community center.but I will go ahead and start with the facility itself - it was pretty cramped and very difficult to find a spot to watch the traditional dances during the festival because there were so many strollers blocking the door to the big event room. The festival itself was very small and probably comparable to the Kielbasa festival minus the beer.
There were a few booths that sold art and hand made goodies and maybe one or two food tents.but overall the festival was more of a party for the tight-knit Ukrainian community in the Twin Cities. They used a ticket system.similar to many other cultural festivals in the area. There's ample free parking in the area and it's very to easy to find. It's in a great location next to the river.
