Rented the inflatable outdoor screen, projector, and sound system. Jim has everything pulled and ready when I arrived. He went through everything, walking me through setup and operation and threw in extension cords and some adapters so I had everything I needed when I left. The YouTube videos showed every step of setup but I didn't even need them, it was pretty much plug-in and done. Super friendly. Definitely will rent here again.

My husband and I rented sound and lighting equipment for our wedding reception, and everything worked SO well. We chose to rent the Ultimate Party Package. The lighting was amazing, and the sound system worked flawlessly. Although somewhat bulky and tough to move everything, it's worth it if you need an all-encompassing sound and lighting setup. Jim definitely knows his stuff, and if you ever have questions about any part of your rental, he is more than willing to explain and go the extra mile to make sure you understand what it is and how to use it correctly.

Placed an order online for a sound and light package rental for a party we were having over a weekend. When I arrived they had almost everything ready and was given a very helpful description of how everything needs to be set up and was able to assemble it all without a hitch. The gentlemen getting everything packed up anticipated my needs and thought of some hardware I would need that I hadn't considered. Representatives were friendly and available in case of hardware problems.

Completely unprofessional and unintelligent. I spoke with the owner on the phone about renting two C02 Jets for an upcoming private concert to be held in Minneapolis. I had an invoice sent to me by my production manager (Steve Killingbeck @ Pixel Science - awesome company - btw). The owner started "He don't do business that way" when I attempted to pay for a two hundred dollar invoice.
He stated that "He didn't want to get ripped off" by allowing me to pay by credit card over the telephone. Now to put this in context, I just paid for the rental of a ton of equipment at EMI ($2300) without issue. The owner of Event Sound and Lighting seems to think that someone who hands him a card to rent equipment in person "won't rip him off" compared to a customer over the phone.
The owner kept repeating "it's my policy and my company -I can do what I want, even if it is a stupid policy". Newsflash buddy, I don't think it's the policy that is stupid. A customer coming into the store is just as likely to steal your equipment as a person on the telephone - especially when you refuse to take a deposit in person or over the telephone. Must be a communist that hates to make money. Note I was kind to this creep the entire time I was on the telephone with him. What a complete jerk.
