Since its creation in 1961 the Towson Dance Studio has prided itself on bringing quality and fun via ballroom dancing to Baltimore and surrounding areas. Our community of dancers is wide reaching, and everyone has a place here that wants one: from beginners to competitive students, children to adults - we become one family. Services
Founded in 1961, Towson Dance Studio has traditionally been Baltimore's go-to spot for individuals and couples interested in learning ballroom dance. Historically, classes have covered all the traditional forms of dance such as the waltz, foxtrot, tango, salsa and swing, among others, and the studio has continually evolved to embrace the latest concepts in modern dance.
Struggling with Obesity as a child, 50lbs overweight, Adelicia found a true motivation and passion in dance that changed her life, and later boldly impacted her career. While attending Temple and Towson University, she studied Theatre and Dance. Adelicia's dance training is extensive in hip hop, African, jazz, and modern dance.
I've been taking lessons at the studio for the past two years in a variety of dances. The dance staff are exemplary in their skills and understanding of each dance they teach and always open to questions in and out of class. The proficiency of the students varies from first-day beginner to competing dance professional and all are great people who are even willing to help somebody learn a new step. We pride ourselves on creating and maintaining an enjoyable and welcoming environment for everyone to dance.
Private lessons are definitely the best way to learn to dance. With personal attention to your individual needs, you will make faster progress and have a better understanding of what you are trying to do on the dance floor. You can zero in on rhythm and timing, leading and following, footwork, fancy moves - whatever area requires attention.

My son and I recently took a dance lesson in preparation for the mother-son dance at his wedding. In 50 minutes our instructor choreographed a wonderful foxtrot routine which will be fun to perform. Dasha is a talented instructor and delightful to work with. I highly recommend the Towson Dance Studio.

I go to the Friday Night Swing Dancing. I try never to miss it. The people are wonderful, nice and everyone dances wit you.even beginners are looked after by the regulars to get up to speed quickly. I took dance lessons from one of the best instructors I ever had. A great experience. Most importantly, every age fits in perfectly.

They have talented professional instructors. I appreciate that teaching proper technique is a priority of the entire staff. The location is convenient and has plenty of free parking. Great festive parties and a warm encouraging atmosphere make Towson Dance Studio an excellent place to learn and grow as a dancer. Highly Recommended!

Took six lessons for Father/Daughter dance at my daughters wedding. Our instructor, Amanda, was amazing. She was incredibly patient and always positive. When we had difficulties with a particular move she always had a helpful suggestion. The studio has a friendly environment and plenty of rooms to accommodate groups or private lessons. By the way, just as Amanda said, we nailed our dance!

Received instruction from a knowledgeable, patient instructor in a relaxed environment in a small three-couple class all at a very reasonable price. Learned lots of swing and foxtrot steps, Now becoming more proficient and confident dancing. As an independent studnio, the front office is very friendly and helpful, eager to accommodate. Very highly recommended for beginners, intermediate or advanced.

The lessons and weekly open-dance parties have allowed me to explore dance clubs around the Baltimore. If anyone is considering learning or freshening-up, I highly recommend giving this studio a chance.
