Unlike most of the DJ world, Jay proudly holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Production from the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. As a communications major, Jay learned how to MC properly with clarity, creativity and warmth. Even as a former On-Air Radio DJ and News Correspondent, Jay prefers the excitement, unpredictability and challenges of live events.

I've known Jay for a while, even though the last couple years we weren't connected. I knew when I got engaged I wanted to hire Jay to work our wedding. He's someone who loves what he does and it shows. He helped me and the wife along the way with any questions, suggestions and follow ups before the big day. If you're looking for a DJ for your wedding he's definitely worth hiring!

I am beyond pleased with my decision to use Crestline for my July 2021 25th Anniversary Event! The event was a complete success and I owe it to Jay and his amazing talent to keep the crowd engaged and the party pumping! The music was great he was so accommodating and professional and took all the stress out of making sure that people had a good time. It was perfection!

Jay was awesome. He kept the night running smooth. The up lighting he provided was perfect and looked exactly how we wanted it. I can't think of enough positive things to say about my experience with Jay from Crestline. My good friend referred us to him after he performed at both her and her older sister's wedding, and he did not disappoint. I would have to say that my favorite part about working with him throughout the planning process was how friendly he was and easy to speak to.
I never felt awkward or obligated to go along with an idea that he had- we were always able to throw out new ideas without pressure. The conversations were always very honest and he was always a great listener. He was VERY well organized and had a great memory. Everything went exactly how I had asked, so I could not expect more. He also was funny and very interactive with the crowd, evening joining us in the cha cha slide.
He was able to accommodate the different tastes of our families, who are from very different backgrounds. I truly was nervous about how that would play out, but it worked out very well. My parents had a lot of their favorite songs played, which I really appreciated. I needed a DJ with experience and the ability to accommodate a diverse crowd, and Jay did not disappoint. He went above and beyond to make our day special and fun : thanks again!

The DJ for my wedding played some random elevator music for 45 minutes between dinner and the start the reception because he claimed he couldn't find me and didn't know if he should start the music selected for the reception. Are f@#$%^& kidding me? We went over the timeline before the wedding and we were in a small venue AND I'm the only one there in a white gown you ass - there's no reason you couldn't find me in the crowd.
My husband and I were distracted by all the guests wanting to chat with us and hadn't realized how much time was passing until someone asked me what was going on with the music. When my husband inquired, the DJ got very snippy. NOT acceptable. He was also not as well prepared with the music selection as he should have been despite reviewing the music list well in advance of the wedding. Luckily my friends and family know how to have a good time and didn't let this shit DJ ruin our night. However, he DID NOT work the set hours agreed upon given he sat there and wasted almost an hour of the time we were paying him to play the music we selected but instead through on some generic filler music/elevator music.
So a whole chunk of the songs we wanted to hear never got played. Also, we rented the photo booth and specifically requested color photos but black and white photos were initially printed until we complained about that. It also took longer than agreed to get a file with all of the photo booth pictures.

Jay from Crestline did such an amazing job at our wedding! We cannot thank him enough! He took over an hour to talk to us on the phone to ensure all of our questions were answered and to make sure we knew exactly how our wedding would go. He was great at offering suggestions and providing information on timing of songs, etc. He truly made our guests so happy and we had so many compliments on our music throughout the night.
He made sure that our NYE wedding (12/31/17) was so special with a great countdown, confetti bombs, and more! We truly are over the moon with the way he made our wedding flow. Thank you Jay!

We hired DJ Jay for our vow renewal on Sep 3, 2017 and we couldn't have been happier. We did Karaoke and they did a great job of keeping the party flow. Professional, helpful, flexible and with attention to detail. They had it handled, so it was one less thing for the bride and I to worry about. I highly recommend them, and recommend doing Karaoke! Thanks a million for helping make it a special day!

Working with Jay, Jared, and all of Crestline was a great experience. From the initial meeting to the day of the wedding, Jay was very attentive and his main concern was making sure it would be the best night possible. Jay was very organized and his website made it very easy to decide what music to play at each part of the event. If you want a DJ that knows how to read a crowd and get people dancing, I highly recommend Crestline. I also recommend the uplights, as they made for a very cool experience during the reception.

Our DJ from Crestline Entertainment, Inc., Jay, was excellent. He provided great music for our wedding and set the tone we were looking for. He ensured that my husband and I were consulted on everything that could have been questionable to make sure that we were happy and not unpleasantly surprised by anything. Very pleased with Crestline! We had our wedding in September and I felt like they were extremely organized and communicated very well throughout the planning. I loved their planning pages on the website to make our timeline and playlists. That was very helpful. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I had a lot of guests tell me that the dj wouldn't play their requests.
That kind of stunk because they were not songs that were on my do not play list so I would've loved them to be played. I wanted things to pick up on the dance floor and get more people out there. I appreciated that when I told the DJ that he got the party started! Also, the microphone wasn't very loud for announcements during the reception. Overall, we had a very great experience.

We hired Jay for our vow renewal on 10/02/16 and we couldn't have been happier. His prices were competitive, and he responded to any concerns or questions I had in a very timely manner. He was very easy to communicate with. The music he chose was great, and he did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor. I would definitely recommend Crestline Entertainment.

Crestline, specifically Jay, has provided DJing service for my sister, a family friend, and now me and hasn't let us down yet. The dance floor for my 8/1/14 wedding was filled all night. Jay had just the right involvement during the reception, kept things moving, followed through with everything we asked, and could not have had better communication with us throughout the whole process.
He showed flexibility with a last minute change and showed that he was a true professional who has definitely done this before. I am grateful to have had him DJ for us and would highly recommend him to anyone who wants someone who will listen to them and keep the dance floor full all night :
