Been going here for years. Best Bakery ever! We always order our cakes from here and our family looks forward to our Christmas sweet table because they know every year that's apart of our tradition one big sweet table from Jarosch! We also always order stuff for a sweet table for the weddings, baptism party's etc. They have a very nice selection

This cake was ordered for a boy named Xander. Being that when you pick up the cake all you see is the top, I couldn't tell the sides were pink. my son for his 18th birthday got a pink cake. The bakery wasn't too concerned about the error. It's very disappointing!

I was on the hunt for fresh strawberry fruit pie in Chicago, and nothing was appearing in the search results. We happened to spontaneously stop by Jarosh, and there, serendipitously, were fresh strawberry fruit tarts! Filled to the brim with fresh strawberries and covered with a delicious strawberry glaze, each tart was refreshing and delightful with no whipped cream used as a filler.

Another patron noted my excitement at finding the tarts and said he no longer lives in the area, but when he's back for work he makes a point to visit this bakery for the cinnamon bread. I purchased only the strawberry tarts this time, but I will definitely be back for more tarts before the season is over and other goodies.

We had the traditional wedding cake with lemon cream filling for our wedding. It was beautiful and delicious. Everybody loved it and they were so easy to work with. Thank you!

Absolutely one of the best bakery's around. Coffee cakes and pastries are amazing. I've never had their cakes so I can't speak on those.

Ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday, she requested lemon and strawberry filling. I had know doubt Jarosch would pull it off. Easy to order, the person taking my order was very patient with me, and pick up was easy (except wanting to add more things) It tasted great and did not disappoint

I am a first time customer and heard a lot of great things about this bakery. I went in today (Saturday April 23, 2022) at about noon. I waited for 25 minutes at the cake counter and am 35 weeks pregnant. My back and legs were aching so badly. Then when it was my turn the attendant asked if I had gotten a number/Ticket. I didn't know that a ticket was required (since I am a first time customer) and asked her if she would make an exception since I had been waiting patiently for so long on my feet and am very pregnant (almost near giving birth).

She said she had to ask her manager and the manager (after they had a discussion) said there are no exceptions and I had to get a ticket. which meant more waiting. I was so shocked at this. I wasn't trying to get special treatment but as a first time customer I truly just didn't realize there was a ticket system. I did my time by waiting patiently for almost a half hour- and to make a pregnant woman then wait for more time just seems so unnecessarily rigid and unfair (this is a line for cakes- we don't need to take ourselves so seriously).

In any case the young girl who helped me eventually was kind and patient. I think the bakery needs to use discretion and better judgment for customers who are physically in similar situations like mine. It was just surprising behavior. I want to be 100% fair though - the cake I bought from the bakery was absolutely delicious, fresh and loved by my entire family for my mother in law's birthday.

Hands down the best bakery ever. I drive an hour to come here after moving away from Elk Grove Village. Every special occasion in my life has to be celebrated with a Jarosch cake or special treat. Thank you for helping our family make wonderful life long memories with your delicious baked goods.

This is the best bakery I've ever gotten pastries and cakes from. I started taking them to friends and now they ask all the time when I'm going back to Jarosch! Awesome!

The staff was welcoming & friendly. Mentioned that we were giving a local homeless man a couple donuts and they threw in an extra water for him! Very sweet staff & the donuts were outstanding!

Excellent customized bakery. Called on a Wednesday to put in my order for Saturday and it was ready. Also was able to make payment over the phone so I could have a friend pick up the cake without having them pay. Cake was too good even the dieters had seconds and thirds!

This is the best place to get cakes from. Their cakes are always baked perfectly and they do great buttercream work. We have gotten several cakes here for family parties and would highly recommend.

This is a great bakery with some very yummy cakes -- i got the King Cake for Marti Gras and it was amazing, truly great. The staff was very nice and answered all of my questions. I give them top marks for the items they bake. fabulous. But I had to downgrade them for flexibility and customization. I was surprised to find out that they do not do "custom" orders.

You have to buy a cake that they make, when they make it. and not any other time. I am not a baker so maybe there is a reason, but they told me that the only difference between the King Cake and the cake they make all year is the colored sprinkles on top. So I asked if they could make it and just add colored sprinkles, and they said no. To me that is odd. you make the cake all year, but you wont add sprinkles?

I then asked if I could order ten of the cakes for an office event, and they said "no. If you want the cakes, they had to be ordered AND picked up by tomorrow, or I could wait until next year." Seems like an odd business practice, but it is their business -- "no cake for me" LOL.

Their butter cookies are absolutely incredible.melt in your mouth delicious. Worth the trip, but please make sure you reserve them ahead of time when wanting some for the holidays. I buy them for friends and family and everyone looks forward to them every year. I haven't tried much else from there but I can also say the Apple Strudels are amazing!

Wanting to celebrate a birthday last minute (and from out of town) & having the best bakery in town prepare it not only in time but exactly how you wanted it. I was pleased and happy with the great customer service I was given & the cake was absolutely delicious and I didn't have one complaint. Made our celebration amazing.

My family has been using Jarosch Bakery for years. From graduation cakes to wedding cakes, they do it all! I absolutely loved the detail and design they put into my latest cake creation. I cannot recommend Jarosch bakery enough for your next special event!

I worked with Jarosch to design our wedding cake as well as customized cookies for our favors, and the process was seamless! They have unique cake flavors that you won't see at other bakeries (we chose graham cracker for our cake) and they executed my vision to a tee! Our wedding was at Revolution Brewing in Chicago, and there were no issues with delivering the cake to a venue in the city (not the case with all bakeries).

A very special thank-you to Tammy, who was extremely communicative and always courteously answered my emails about mundane things like cake stands and cake toppers. If you are looking for a tried and true bakery for your wedding day in the city or the suburbs, I highly recommend Jarosch! I almost forgot to mention the wedding cake "sample" Jarosch made us when we were deciding on cake flavors and fillings.

Many bakeries in Chicago will charge you $30 to try a few bites of their cake and filling flavors. Not Jarosch! You better believe they baked us a 6-8 person sized cake free of charge for the sample. Such a great experience!

I love this place. And even drive out of my way if it means bringing some of their goodies to a celebration. Edelweiss Coffeecake is my favorite, if you're looking for a suggestion. But I have LOVED everything we have ever brought from here. Support an amazing local bakery and go today!

I love this bakery so much, I asked for a Hawaiian birthday cake and they did not disappoint! And the price of this cake was so cheap compared to other stores plus with all the decorating and hard work they put into the cakes! Never fails to impress me! Can't wait for the next birthday!

I am a big supporter of local businesses. I was passing by this strip and saw this bakery and definitely i had to try it. They have very good fresh baked breads. donuts were very yummy. I loved their Marble Pound cake. I got tons of stuff from them. Their cakes seemed very amazing. I am definitely gonna order for any next occasion - especially the 3 tier cake

This bakery has been cherished by my family for generations. My grandmother used to make Jarosch a frequent stop for her long shifts at Alexian Brothers Hospital. Even though the stock may be limited (due to the pandemic) I often get advice and tips for when to find specific items in stock, and worst case scenario I just find something else to enjoy.

The butter cookies are my favorite, followed by their danishes/coffee cakes. I also love the rarities that pop up from time to time. They currently have limited hours, so I'd recommend calling before making a trip.

The sweet smelling aroma of fresh baked goods is apparent even through a properly worn mask and to my surprise, many people were in line at 2p in the afternoon picking up sweets too. Admittedly, it'd been a while since I've ordered a cake from here but I remembered how special the crushed pineapple filling was and decided to add fresh strawberries after reading a few recommendations on their website.

The combination was absolutely delicious with buttercream icing though if I were to order those fillings again I'd love to try it with cream cheese icing instead. Speaking of cream cheese, I almost made it out of the store with just a birthday cake and a set of adorable metallic candles that matched the cake decorations perfectly, but I was compelled to the add two strawberry cheesecakes was the best strawberry cheesecake I've ever had!

Love me some Jarosch Christmas cookies. It's a tradition. Everything looks great when I walk in. This a traditional Bakery. Everything is clean and beautiful; waiting to be taken home and consumed with coffee. This is the type of place that makes me feel good. Family owned and it is apparent that they take pride in what they do. When You walk in be prepared to leave with a lot of Bakery.

I'm sad to say I'm writing a review update to take them down a star, simply for the quality of the custom cake we recently got from them. I'm still giving the 4-stars for all the other wonderfully delicious baked goods and the vast assortment they offer, though. We were recently back in the area to attend a couple of special events and we ordered 2 custom cakes in advance from 2 different bakeries, since the events were on different days and in different towns.

The cake we got from Jarosch was very quite disappointing as it was rather dry and seemed like it had been made a couple of days beforehand, or perhaps baked a bit too long. I'm not sure but it wasn't burnt, the cake itself was just very dry. And we picked it up on the morning of the day we scheduled the pickup for, so it's not like we scheduled it for one day and didn't come to get it until the next.

But myself and the immediate family members who shared their opinion of the cake all had the same opinion: too dry. With that said, I have enjoyed gobbling up a wide variety of their other tasty treats over the years. Aside from the cake, everything else we've had from them, from cupcakes to cookies to coffee cakes and pastries has been perfectly scrumptious.

You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and they put a lot of care and time in to their decorated cakes & cupcakes. Their decorated cupcakes are really cute and the price per cupcake is quite reasonable considering how adorable they each look.
