What an interesting place to stay. each room has its own historic charm across the street is the Lake with informational signs along trails near the water. a train goes by a few times per day but the sound is soothing rather than irritating. breakfast is home-cooked, ample and varied. you should check it out.

My Husband and I stayed here a couple of months ago and it was a wonderful experience. We stay at many B&Bs across the South, but Lynn and her Husband do B&B right! They made us feel so at home, the home is stunning. We are bringing our entire family down in November to celebrate Thanksgiving. I can't say enough about the hospitality and the beauty of this wonderful respite!

Lynn was a wonderful host. She is very kind and accommodating. We stayed in in the Captain's Room, which features a king bed and claw foot tub. Each room has access to Direct TV. The bed in our room was a soft bed- for us that was perfect, but I do know some people prefer harder beds so I wanted to make that apparent. Breakfast was served promptly at 0900 ( it was a Sunday morning).
For Covid restrictions, Lynn served our plates for us and we were seated more than 6 feet away from other guests. For those of you who are looking for something different this is the place to be. It is relaxing, quiet and quaint. It is not cheaper than a hotel, so do not be expecting that. The breakfast was good. The french toast casserole was delicious.
Some critiques would be: the house is kept really warm. I like to sleep in a cold environment ( and I'm pregnant) and it was too warm for me. I think the house is kept around 74. There were fans in my room so it helped with the heat, but I think each room should have their own AC. The food was good, but I do think it was lacking in salt and pepper.
She does provide salt and pepper packets though. Overall, I would recommend people to stay here. It has that homey feel that hotels lack and it provides the breakfast that Airbnb rentals lack.

First of all, I would like to say they are great with their customers! Our stay was cut short due to a power outage beyond their control! We cannot say enough about how they make you feel like you are apart of their family! The rooms are phenomenal and spotless! We definitely want to stay there again in the near future! Beautiful old Inn that was once the Union Headquarters during the Battle of Allatoona Pass which took place right across the street. Comfortable clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and short drive to the Booth Western Art Museum which is in my opinion the best art museum in the south. Owners were really friendly and helpful. My wife and I loved our stay here and will probably be back!

My wife and I really loved this bed and breakfast. It's so cool, a ton of history, and located right across from the battlefield (which is now a huge lake). Such a beautiful and cozy property. There are hiking trails right across the street and so many more just a short distance away. There are lots of beautiful lakes, creeks, streams, etc. Just a really nice area.
We were in town for a savage race and the proximity was really nice. Lynn and Dave were very nice, accommodating, and helpful in guiding us to restaurants and outdoor activities. The downtown area was very nice with a variety of great restaurants (maybe 15 minutes or so away). We will definitely return when our adventures lead us back. Thanks again.

This b and b is the best! The positive vibes and the nicest so accommodating owners. They really make you feel at home. It's very relaxing, peaceful, and beautiful. I've been there several times and can't wait to return. It's a great place to unplug and enjoy nature. Local restaurants top notch. A lot of history here.

Lynn is fantastic. The area is directly across the street from the lake and the building itself is very well kept. As you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a nice open hallway followed by a small yet quaint dining room to your right. Everyone I met were so welcoming. The location is very close to 75 and not too far outside Atlanta. A great place in between all of the states that border NW Georgia.
