I attended NYSSMA All State in December 2016 to see my son perform with a highly selective group of Choral performers. No photography or videotaping of any kind was permitted in the Eastman Kodak theater. We had to rely on the contracted Mitbark photographer to provide us with a photograph to commemorate the event, at the cost of $20.00. Once I received the photo, it was very poor quality; blurry, and majority of performers were not looking at the photographer; including my own son, who was captured with his eyes closed.
When I emailed the company to express my displeasure- it was explained that the photo is taken from a great distance and they did the best they could. I did notice however, that Mitbark managed to capture a beautiful, perfectly focused picture of the NYSSMA executive council, which is posted on the Facebook page. It's a shame that paying customers do not get the same beautiful product.
