We just had our wedding in Cambridge, Maryland and Brian was our POC / decorator for all of our events (Mehendi, Haldi, Sangeet, Wedding and Reception) at the venue. There are no words to describe how amazing him and his team are. From when we booked about a year prior to our wedding, Brian was always so responsive and detailed. During our meetings, he always provided different perspectives and ways to enhance my vision and make it come to life 10 times better than I could have ever imagined for every single event.

Even during our walkthrough, our parents were so impressed with how Brian explained the layout for every event and even made sure to always have a secure back up plan in case of weather changes since most of our events were outdoors. Every single one of our guests left our wedding complimenting the decor and how clean and grand it was. We are so grateful to Brian and the entire team for all of their hard work throughout all of our events and making sure every detail was perfect. Brian & the AD team delivered beyond our expectations. Brian and the entire Abhishek Decorators (AD) team really came through with our Ceremony and Reception decor. Brian not only brought our vision to life, but really enhanced it with his experience and recommendations. He also worked with our DJ to help with the lighting to elevate the overall look.

We continue to hear from our family and friends on the amazing decor for both events. It was honestly breathtaking and better than what we could have imagined. We truly believe AD strives to outdo themselves each event and are highly motivated to wow their clients. That's why we hired and put our trust in them. Brian and the Abhishek team completely blew us away with the decor for both our wedding and reception. From the moment we met Brian, we felt like he just understood us, and he truly made our vision come to life. We received so many compliments on the mandap, the glass aisle, the centerpieces, and of course the gorgeous reception stage. We could not be more grateful!

If I could give their group zero stars I would. After requesting a quote we needed to negotiate we waited for well over a month, and several follow ups and received a few sentence email letting us know that they had already booked another event on our date. An absolutely unprofessional group. Now we're in a situation where we have to pay more for another group we may Not even like Bc of the complete lack of communication and in professionalism. Would highly NOT RECOMMEND.

Speechless. That's the word that comes to my mind when I saw the Hindu ceremony decor and then the reception decor. Brian's level of detail and color coordination was absolutely beautiful and it was everything I imagined plus more! When we had started our initial planning meetings, I did not have a clear vision on the exact decor design however Brian was so friendly, easy to work with and understood my desire for a design that complimented our outfits.

He managed to gather all of my ideas/requests and created an elegant, unique and cohesive design from the morning to the evening. The final decor was nothing I had seen before and that was exactly what I wanted! All of our guests raved several times about how beautiful and unique the decor was and the compliments continued well after the wedding day. Thank you again Brian and AD Team for helping make our dream wedding into reality! We could not be happier!

Brian was an absolute genius and made our wedding weekend and wedding reception weekend absolutely stunning. His attention to detail and beautiful vision with our space was second to none. We cannot speak highly enough of Abhishek Decorators. Our wedding was a COVID-19 wedding and the entire experience, which was constantly changing, was made a total dream by the team at Abhishek Decorators. We met with them in February to choose the basics, and once again the week before the wedding - and their display rooms are stunning. Brian takes such great care to learn tastes, budget, color preferences, and personality to create a customized experience that guests will rave about. People still tell us our wedding decor was absolutely stunning!

Namrata was a pleasure to work with, and made our vision for our fusion wedding come true! We had Hindu and Western ceremonies on the rooftop at Midtown Loft and Terrace, followed by a reception in their Loft. From the moment we met Namrata, we never felt rushed or pressured to pick something we didn't like. Namrata gave very helpful suggestions when picking colors and flowers for the Mandap, Western ceremony, and reception.

She was friendly, very communicative, and creative in her ideas and solutions. She turned our vision into a reality, and our guests couldn't stop talking about our beautiful wedding!

Giving one star because there is nothing lower than that. We hired them for baby shower event. Very unprofessional. If you expect them to call you or come back with a plan how are they going to decorate in your event, you probably will wait forever. Till a week before I didn't hear back how they are going to do it. When it is time to get rest of the payment, they will call on time.

The lady I was in touch with, never seen such UNPROFESSIONAL person in a business. Mihir was the one who talked well on the phone and seemed like care about the event. On the event day they decorate other hall instead of the one we picked for the event. They sent a wrong backdrop and arguing that we picked that (picture attached gift table swag and the drape color doesn't match).

When we called we were asked to go there and pick other drape, we said that's not possible. The guy who was setting up the drapes was more professional and went back and got 2 alternatives, one of them was what we originally picked. I pointed out the sofa as it was dirty and not in a good shape when I went to finalize everything. I was told that sofa is a display piece and they have better ones that they send to the event.

Finally they fixed the drapes but with loads of hassle. I hired them for peace of decorations but it turned out more work for me. I wish I didn't hire them. They might be good for others but with my experience, I would never suggest them for anything. DO CONSIDER NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE TAKING THE FINAL DECISION

These people only care about money and then will ruin your wedding day and your wedding experience! I wish I had read all the reviews before making the mistake of giving them my money. They destroyed my wedding and the most important day of my life. Mihir Thakkar behaved very confidently and my husband and I believed everything that was coming out of his mouth.

He assured us they would take care of the wedding and nothing would go wrong. And used lines like we can only do your wedding and pushed us to give a desposit quickly. He then handed us off to his assistant Namrata Shah who doesnt actually know anything. After giving them a deposit we never heard from them again, they never called to check in on us and always said they didn't have time to meet us to go over things.

When we finally made it on a weekend we felt as though we were rushed through the meeting. Come wedding day they gave us the wrong mandap. After confronting Namrata she told us this is the mandap we chose and argued with us. Who argues with a bride on her wedding day. Finally one of their staff members on the day of the wedding apologized and promised to make the reception perfect but it was too late I cried and cried when I saw the ceremony decor.

These people should be out of business they don't care about their brides. I am very happy with all of my vendors expect for Abhishek Decorators. Don't waste your time or money I have friends who made better happier choices then this one.

I had an engagement party in nj in march and after visiting thier show room and discussing details about the vision and specific pieces I liked and wanted for my event, I thought we were all set. Per the contract, my fiance and I had to have one last meeting a few weeks before the event to finalize the backdrop items, color themes, and center pieces for the event. So, I tried to schedule a meeting as my fiance lives in nj but I live 4 hours away, Namrata made it seem like they were way to busy to accommodate us at all.

Any time I would call or text her, I didn't get a response for at least 4 days. At one point when I didn't hear back for a few days after I asked her a question, I texted her telling her how UNPROFESSIONAL of her it is to not respond to me in a timely manner especially with my event only a few weeks away. She was however super quick to reply when I had to pay the deposit and the final payment- that was the only time I had actually spoken to her over the phone and received texts back immediately when the payments went through. Anyways, eventually my fiance went to the meeting himself and he facetimed with me while he was there. Namrata didn't tell him nor show him exactly what the decor would look like, rather vaguely outlined it.

From the beginning I got the vibe she brushed it off as if it wasn't a big deal since it was only the engagement not ge wedding. Come the day of the event, my fiance and I walk into our venue hall and we are shocked- the backdrop is nothing like we had wanted and it frankly clashed with my blue and green dress and theme. I understand a bit of contrast is nice to make our outfits stand out but this was too different.

It was upsetting that I didn't know what the decor for my event was going to look like until the day of. A few days after the event, I messaged Namrata about how we were very disappointed with the colors and design of the backdrop. She sends me a VERY RUDE AND CONDESCENDING reply at 1 AM IN THE MORNING telling me how the backdrop was exactly what we chose and basically it's not her fault.

Funny though since she never showed us exactly what she would be using for our decor! And how unprofessional is it to text your client at 1 AM in the morning?! Who does that? Wish I read the other reviews beforehand, would never hire them again.

Long overdue! We had our wedding last summer and i had read all the mixed reviews but still went with them. I should've known better. They are very unprofessional and lack in communication. They were quite expensive and we paid for a stage. When we walked into the ballroom they forgot the stage. At this point nothing could've been done. It was a huge disappointment for me because it was the final touch to my decor. They should close down, disappointments such as these should not happen on the day of the wedding without no communication. Extremely unprofessional!

We would not recommend Abhishek. Here's why: 1. Mihir Thakkar: he's the guy in charge, and at first he's charming and convincing about their services. He used lines like "we're booked for all the weekend dates except yours" and "we supply mandap materials to all the companies around the world." The second we signed, we started getting pushback from him.

At one point, Mihir gave me attitude in front of my family simply because I asked him to suggest ideas rather than show me the 4-5 setups they have in their showroom. It's sad because we worked with Abhishek 10 years ago for my sweet sixteen when it was run by Nikhil.and they were so much more professional back then! 2. They don't own up to their mistakes.

At Hindu weddings there is typically a gate outside the doors to your venue or ballroom, which Abhishek was supposed to match to our mandap colors. Unfortunately they didn't care to put in any effort on the gate that day, and we hadn't gone over specifics because we thought they knew what they were doing (i.e. empty promises from Mihir I suppose), so our gate ended up being a white wooden frame with a single white fabric draped over it.

And it wasn't the good kind of minimalist. My dad was personally offended by it when he saw that our guests would be seeing that first and called Mihir to ask if he was proud of his work. He got excuses in return, and that gate will forever be in our pictures. 3. The centerpieces. They set up a pretty nice mandap hall for us, even though they didn't use the colors we'd talked about for the mandap.

Their team was supposed to use the aisle decor again in the evening to decorate our cocktail room. But instead, the aisle decor from the morning was reused on our dinner tables as centerpieces (the agreed-upon centerpieces nowhere to be seen). No decor in the cocktail room. I mean, come on. Follow the contract we signed and give us what we paid for.

We didn't complain to Abhishek afterward because we didn't want to nickel and dime and honestly I'd rather not hear his excuses again. Maybe you'll have better luck!

The reviews on here are very surprising! I used abhishek for my wedding on 4.23.2016. Mihir was very responsive and professional- he's extremely knowledgable about decor, styles, flowers, arrangements, etc and really helped my family and I pick the best mandups and decorations for our ceremonies and reception! Further, everything looked perfect on the day of- I have zero complaints.

Everything we asked for was included and he even threw in a few things. I'm not going to lie, this is an expensive affair- mandup for mehndi night then for the ceremony and then the reception including floral and center pieces but everything looked perfect. We got candle ombres and cherry blossoms for our center pieces and they were absolutely beautiful. I would 100% recommend using abhishek for your wedding needs!

The worst decorator company I have ever come across! No manners of how to speak to a client! If your ever looking for a decor for ur event then go somewhere else! I assure you there are so many companies out there who will do much better job. People who works and owns this company does not have any sense of communication! Everything is a big talk with abhishek decorators!

I called so many time asking them for a digital copy of the contact and not only they didn't respond only phone call, but even after getting in touch with me they had such an attitude about it. I owe them money and yet I am calling them to find out the balance. That's kinda messed up. They should be contacting me. On top of all that he is giving me an attitude of about getting an authority from in laws get a copy because they put the deposits on my behalf! That's pretty messed up!

If I had a choice I would give abhishek -1 star! They don't deserve any better. Never again they will have my business or any one of my family and friends with this attitude!

I was planning a renewal of vows ceremony for my parents--I live in MA and they in NJ so I thought it would be impossible to complete the task Abhishek Decorators really helped make the planning smooth. They listened to all my concerns and gave me helpful tips from states away. A pleasure to work with.

We used Abhishek Decorators for our wedding in June 2014. I must say this was the best decision we made. From the first day we met Mihir and his staff, everyone was very professional and understood our vision exactly. My husband and I have VERY high expectations and I must say Mihir and his staff went above and beyond what they needed to do. Their mandaps are very unique and their services are very affordable.

We looked around to many other places around the area, and I must say when it comes to quality, professionalism, availability and caring for clients, I don't think any other companies compare to Abhishek Decorators. My husband and I still get compliments from our wedding/reception. I highly recommend them.

I went there for my baby shower decoration. They do not have anything for Baby shower. So save your time and do not go there. They might be good for marriage. They showed me 2-3 pics of Balloons. They were quoting almost double than other Balloon places for same set up. It better to go and have your work done by many Balloon artists in the area. One more thing, i met with one fake indian girl who has absolutely zero knowledge about Indian culture.

She laughed on our face that we are going to have our own Baby shower. FYI, It is called as God Bharai in India and parents to be invite people for the ceremony. Friends do not throw God Bharai party for mother to be. May be she should get learn something about Indian culture before laughing on people's faces. God save from these fake Indian people who has zero knowledge about Indian culture.

Abhishek Decorators was really amazing. They did a flawless job at our wedding reception, and everyone was raving about how beautiful the room was. A couple people said that they had been to other weddings in the same venue but had never seen it look so good. We worked with Mihir. My favorite part about working with him is that he so clearly knew what he was doing, that we just told him the colors of my dress and gave some other input, and then took all of his excellent suggestions.

He even gave us a couple of suggestions for how to spend less on flowers and actually make the overall effect even better. The only reason I didn't give him five stars was because he sent the wrong dholi for our mehndi. He did send a similar one but I would have appreciated the heads up. It is a little bit more pricey than other vendors but VERY MUCH SO WORTH IT because even though we had our wedding reception on the busiest weekend of the year and we know for sure that they had many other weddings, we didn't have to worry about the quality of their service.

This review is long overdue. My wedding was a year ago and when I initially wrote the review my computer crashed and never went back. But I did want to say give my feedback. I had a very good experience with them. I am forgetting the name of the gentleman I worked with, but he was a younger guy and worked with me for the vision I had for my stage and flowers.

My preference was a something different than what typical Indians get and wasn't sure if they would understand. He was knowledgable about decor/stage decoration/flowers. Plus he was personable. Although he couldn't do exactly what I wanted, and because their decor is more traditional it didn't fit my vision completely. However, I understand that most Indians want traditional look so they didn't carry the more modern couches, sets, etc.

At the end, I was very happy with my stage & florals. They also came out beautiful in the pics (although I could have done without the old looking rug put on the stage - please get nicer rugs!). They came on time, it was done in time, and it looked lovely and no surprises with the cost. It was everything we agreed to in our consultations. The cost was competetive in comparision to other quotes I got.

I got married in March and used Abhishek based on a recommendation. I wish I never used them. Mihir is terrible to work with. He is really slippery and you need to make sure every single detail you discuss with him is written on paper. We started working with Nikhile who was great. We signed our contract with him and then never saw him again and that's really a shame. Mihir was rude to my mom.

We discussed how we wanted the centerpieces and they were done incorrectly. However- we were still charged for the things they didn't include! We only discovered this right before the reception was due to start so there was no fixing it! I would not recommend using this company for your wedding. You will have enough stress- keeping on top of these guys and making sure they are setting up the way you want for your wedding day is too much added work. (and you won't have the time either) Please go with a company that has been in the business longer and better reputation.

Abhishek has been around but has not been the most prominent. Nikhil, the owner, is pretty detailed till you sign the contract. Then you see the additional charges as you finalize the contract and his woeful repetition of how much each "mandap" costs etc. Well, the cost of each mandap is covered with just ONE wedding usage.so why the sob story? Anyway, when he has you all roped in, it is difficult to remind him about all that he said he would throw in!

Then he gets a bit hostile. I am already giving you this and that.not things we asked for, btw! Now for the nephew, Mihir! He is the one who then takes charge of what he has not been involved with at all. So all those things that Nikhil claims he is throwing in.well, Mihir claims he has no idea and he does not make any attempt to fulfil! Perhaps does not want to call his uncle and show his lack of knowledge or perhaps when the uncle did tell him, he was not listening? Well, with this ALL in the Family business, beware and solidify in writing. And as far as rudeness and curtness goes, Mihir.get yourself another job, will ya?

Terrible experience with Mihir Thakkar - he is one of new young 25 year old partners. However the original owner Nikhil Bhalja was professional & nice. There were was a misunderstanding about the details of our party - when this was pointed out, no called to rectify but we were sent an NASTY email from Mirhir. Also its worth pointing out that they quoted a price of $1200 for DJ services - we got the exact same package of services from B Boyz Entertainment for $550. I would NOT recommend working with Abhishek based alone on Mirhir's rude attitude, lack of attention to detail and customer service skills.
