We are now located inside the Genesee Valley Mall right across the hall from Planet Fitness. Even though it was a huge undertaking and we will be unpacking and organizing for a while, we are SUPER excited about our move! We have more than double the space so we can offer many more products and classes in the future as well as make cakes and candies to sell premade.

Lovegroves proudly offers a full line of Merkin chocolates year round for all your candy making needs. Peanut Butter, Butterscotch, and Mint waffers are a delicious alternative to the traditional chocolates. By adding in some of Lovegroves crunches and fillings to your homemade creations made with love.
Put hot water, either heated or tap, in the bottom of the double boiler. This water should be hot to the touch but not to a boil or a simmer, you should be able to get your fingers in the water without burning them. Take bottom of the double boiler off the stove and place the top of the double boiler over the hot water with chocolate to melt.

Lovegrove's has a great selection of baking and candy making supplies. Their selection is quite varied and I have never seen so many cookie cutters in one place. Staff are friendly and helpful. The one time they were out of melting chocolate, they took my contact information (I was number 44 on the list) and promptly contacted me when it was back in stock. It was packaged and waiting for pickup when I got there. I highly recommend Lovegrove's.

I like this place when it comes to finding molds, cake boards, packaging and sometimes sprinkles! BUT all food products are HORRIBLE! You can tell everything is old! I bought some carmel bits (not thinking anything of it) got home, tried them, and they were ROCK HARD AND STALE! There should always be a expiration date on food products! and NONE were found!
The chocolate is obviously old considering the lady at the desk told me the chocolate is hard when melting (a sure sign its old) and insisted that I buy paramount crystals with it, she also said I shouldn't get glitter dust cause it can make people's intestines upset if I use too much. then why would you have those products if they aren't edible!?!?!? Lastly all the food dyes were old aswell! They were all separated (which is a sure sign of expiredness) this is NOT OK! you guys need to do better with the upkeep of your store especially if there's food products.

Store has more cookie cutters than anywhere in Flint. However, this is the best place to go for cake decorating supplies. They do have a great selection on cup cake toppers also. (rings, etc) they carry CK gel paste coloring, nobody else in town has it. $6.50 for the large bottle. Powders and Metallics as well. Just about had everything you need for cakes, including fillings.
I'm a cookie decorator and was hoping for more cookie tools. Still a very nice store and I did buy some cookie cutters, return for more. Wish they had more to choose from, very slow at restocking.

SO. Much. Stuff. It's really fun to look through their selection of cake, cupcake and candy making items. Give yourself some time to stop in, otherwise you'll be overwhelmed. It's an old building, you can tell, but it's a cool little place AND the offer cake decorating classes. My mom and I took it once and just laughed the whole time because we were soooo bad! But you never.know until you try.
