We went on a trail ride with Nicki and she was amazing! From the start she taught us how to brush and clean the horses, and she taught us everything we need to know! This was three of our first times and it was the best experience ever! She was professional, so kind, and fun! I recommend her so much and I will definitely come back! Alyssa, Natalie, Anaya, and Abby, Thank you so much Nicki, for making this so much fun

I don't even know where to begin-- we loved the mobile petting zoo much! It was such a big hit at my daughters 2nd birthday party! I didn't get the lady & her sweet helpers names but they were the sweetest and so professional! I loved them & the animals! Thank you all so much! If I could rate 100+ stars I would! So satisfied with the service definitely would recommend.

We did a sunrise ride for my daughter's 18th birthday. Bridget was our guide. She was upbeat, experienced and took us on. a lovely 2 hour trail ride through the fields near the horse farm. Our horses were great trail horses Cochise, Elvis, Merlin and Ranger. Bridget took photos for us and we just had a great time overall. We would definitely do this again if we are up in the Monterey Bay area. It was just a short drive from downtown Monterey and the horses were all ready when we arrived.

My one year old has been learning about the animals and I really wanted to introduce him to horses. Many places I called around Aptos didn't wanna let me just stop by for 15 mins to let my son look at the horses without riding them. When I called equestrian center, the lady in the phone was nice and informed me that we can see and say hi to the horses on the beach.
We stopped by the beach in the afternoon and there were 2 beautiful horses (I forgot their names). Their handlers let us say hi, pet and even give treats to the horses. My 1 yo was confused by the horses at first but then smiled when they gobbled the treats. What a nice experience to meet horses for the very first time! Thank you so much for your kindness today and letting us say hi and introduce our little one to ur majestic horses!

My 13 year old daughter and I did a PCH road trip and made sure to schedule some fun activities along the way. This was one of them and wow am I SO glad we did. The owner Madaline was so awesome and our guide (sadly I forgot her name, a young woman who was born/bred in Monterey and knew a TON about horses) was just amazing. My daughter and I have never ridden horses before but we definitely felt like we were in great hands. The horses were so kind and gentle. It's pretty obvious they are well cared for. We created some wonderful memories thanks to this place!

We had an awful experience this past weekend as one of our riders was almost immediately bucked off her horse and inured. The entire situation was handled extremely unprofessionally and none of the three couples in the group ended up going on the ride as no one trusted the guide, horses, or company after the incident. Shortly after mounting our horses and before departing one of the horses bit another horse's butt, causing it to freak out and throw off its rider.
She was then inches away from being stepped on by the horse, but ultimately suffered numerous injuries. There were 3 big reasons in particular the entire situation was handled so poorly: 1) Everyone in the session made it clear at the start they were a beginner or had never ridden before. Yet the guide had prefaced one of the horse's was known to bite and another horse not involved had been characterized as "agitated" and aggressive.
They clearly had the wrong horses for a gentle beginner ride if so many of these horses had issues. 2) The company also did not have a first aide kit on site and simply offered hand sanitizer to the injured rider. They also should've had multiple guides to support the large group. Furthermore, they never once took a formal report for the incident and the guide even failed to call their main office as we were forced to share and explain the entire incident to their management over an hour later. 3) Most notably, the guide Connie was extremely unprofessional from the minute we arrived.
Before the incident even, it was clear she was annoyed and having a long day as she was short and rude with the whole group - we knew within a few minutes of being on site this was not going to be a fun, friendly, enjoyable ride as she went through the motions. Then while the horse was freaking out and bucking, Connie was frozen, just panickly shrieking and swearing - she was not calm and collected.
Then she proceeded to yell at and blame the beginner rider on the biting horse, despite the fact the patron was never adequately trained on how to stop or move her horse. Connie was very defensive as she knew this was a big mistake and everyone in the group asked to get off their horses and bail. She even failed to ask the injured rider for 5 minutes if she was ok and never came over to inspect her injuries despite there being blood, tears, and bruises.
I hope the company uses this as an opportunity to reevaluate its safety protocols, horse selection, guide training, and overall experience, otherwise I strongly advise avoiding this establishment!

We went yesterday and Bridgette was our guide. We had an incredible time and Bridgette was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We took our 9 year old daughter and Bridgette taught her how to ride. By the way it was my daughter's first time riding a horse and I was terrified of riding (since I have fallen in my friends horse before). Let me tell you that I left wanting to ride again! The whole experience was amazing and I will definitely be asking for Bridgette again! I will definitely be riding again and coming here.

This was awesome! Husband planed this trip. Was a little gloomy for the day (4pm) but the views and just the experience made up for it. We had a great time. The guides where on it. Watching over you and your horses. Always making sure you where comfortable and how to handle your horse. This is a must to do. Kid friendly too!

Kiwi on the left and Ranger on the right! Great horses! I was a first time rider and Ranger made me feel extra comfortable. He's a leader and wanted to be In the front. Kiwi was a very patient horse and rode very easy. Bridget our guide was great. She did horse 101 and made sure we knew how to get the horse to move. Bridget took great pictures! Thank you Monterey Bay Equestrian Center for the experience.

Was surprised by my boyfriend for a 12pm hour long ride along the ocean through this group! It was a beautiful day is Moss Landing and the staff was very friendly. They definitely cared about your safety as well as the horses and their health. Thank you to Bridget and Connie for being our wonderful guides. We rode Hodie and Elvis, the two big guys of the group! Making reservations was easy, as well as finding the spot for starting/ending the ride and payment. Thank you!

These guys are top notch! Loved our guides, the lovely horses (Hoodie and Kiwi) and the simply amazing scenery. This was a bucket list for my husband and I (from Canada) to ride horses in the surf. It exceeded our expectations in every way! Returning home, I am ready to invest in lessons so I can do this more often. Thank you guys for everything. Check these guys out.you will be hooked!

Wow! What an exceptional time we had! Mike and Kira were friendly and relaxed. I had NEVER ridden a horse before and my husband was an experienced rider. They put us on horses that matched our skill. We did the 1.5 hour ride and by the end I was so comfortable. Riding on the beach is unlike anything I have ever experienced. This event was awe inspiring! My husband and I plan to ride again(Houdini and Blue) Outstanding! So grateful.

I've gone on numerous horse rides (in different countries!) and this was by far the most enjoyable. You really feel like you ride your horse. The beach is a beautiful and serene location to ride. We were able to ride side by side rather than in single file. It was a lot more relaxed and you had the freedom to trot with your horses. The only issue I dealt with was paying with my card. There is little reception at the beach and it took some time for the payment to go through. I suggest bringing cash! Otherwise it was a great experience :)

Our guide (Angela) was awesome (and did a great job taking photos along the way!), our horses (Sam and Elvis) were gentle but fun, and the trail along the beach was just perfect. It's also fairly flexible -- you don't have to wear a helmet (but you do have to sign a waiver if you opt not to), and you're free to trot, cantor, or gallop, as long as you don't stray too far from the group.

Had an amazing experience This last Saturday. Called the same day of, Mike (owner) ensured he can squeeze me In for the day. He was detailed and accommodated. Upon arrival, met with the guide who had her plate full but was getting the job done. Parking at the beach was Available. The guide provided simple instructions on how to ride the horses. While on the tour on the beach the guide took her time to formally speak with each individual regarding the horses. ITS A LONG HOUR.
Totally worth it. I will def return! Restrooms (portable potties) available in parking lot. Clean beach. If U want photos ask. Don't drop your phone while on the horse lol

I'm always kind of hesitant to do guided rental rides, especially with ranches in vacation towns, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The horses were very well cared for, trained well, and easily accommodated all types of riders. The ride itself is absolutely beautiful, miles and miles of sandy beach just feet from the crashing waves. My 8 year old son was a first time rider but Dani matched him up with the perfect mount, and kept him entertained with great conversation, horse care facts and just an overall friendly personality.
She was so attentive to his (and the rest of the group's) needs, and you could tell how much she truly enjoyed being out there. I would definitely recommend this ranch, and would highly suggest you ask for Dani as your guide, if they accept those types of requests. Even experienced riders will have a great time and you definitely won't be won't be disappointed!
