A little on the pricey side for me but the food was great and they have a great drink menu. I ordered a full rack of ribs and it was literally fall off the bone. I was able to easily pull out each bone and was left with a plate of delicious boneless bbq. Dragon's Milk stout was amazing as well and not bitter at all even at 11% abv. Located at the foot of an airport so there's constantly planes landing overhead which was awesome in my opinion. Outdoor seating was very nice and service was A1

Food and service are amazing! Bar staff was not! The margarita is gross so don't do it! Trust me! If you must try it tell them no ring of spices at the top, it's gross! The drink itself is ok but watery and mostly ice so drink fast or it will be very watery! The wait staff at our table was impeccable! The calamari is delicious! Get extra of the spicy aioli sauce you won't be able to stop dipping the calamari in it once you try it!

The steak was good but steak is easy, the mashed potatoes however are delicious and a little harder to achieve great potatoes. Asparagus was good too! Now the martinis are excellent and I recommend this as the drink of choice they also have some good beers(stout was good!)

Yum! We randomly were camping at laguna seca and drove by this place. Stopped in for dinner. Food was so good! Everything we all ordered was great! Sat outside. They had a guy singing. Was a good volume. If we are ever back in the area we will come back.

Such a pretty place to ear. We dined outside in the patio. It's a cute little patio and there was someone playing live music. We got the ribs at as a starter and they were spicy! But super tasty. We split the short ribs and mashed potatoes. They charge a fee for splitting the dish which kind of sucks since the entrees are so big its hard to finish. The panna cota was good, but not as soft as I'm used to it being. I'd come back and try other items

Tarpy's is the place to go for celebrations, anniversaries, or just an elevated night out. I love going here with my partner when I'm in the area simply because the quality of the food is excellent and the service is always great. Both of the times i've stopped by were spectacular thanks to the amazing waiters. Whenever people ask me for date night recommendations, I always recommend Tarpy's.

Be sure to try the Scallop Crudo.it's literally the most buttery scallop i've had. The food is a bit on the pricer side, but the quality has remained consistent to me.

Came here with wife to eat lunch. Was a nice day so sat outside. They have a lot of outdoor seating and it is very nice. Was seated right away and will say the staff were very friendly. As we were asked about our drink selection I asked for some bread. They do not offer free bread. They only offer off their app selection. So you pay for bread. Considering the price and the type of restaurant this place is was a little out off by this.

Can not remember ever having to pay for a side of bread. As for the meal itself it was good. I got the meatloaf and wife got the chili crusted chicken. We were both happy with our meals and the serving size was good. Will go again. Sorry forgot photos

Had a lovely dinner date The food was amazing! Can't wait to go back and try their Brunch Thank you NICK for the great service he was kind enough to let us try the soup of the day. as well as other employees very friendly and attentive. The Restaurant looked so lovely at night with all their lights! (Wish I could have gotten a picture)

Had the Fried chicken sandwich which comes with a wedge salad, sandwich was good as far as I can tell, but the wedge came with a rotten tomato, kinda turned me off once I saw it

I returned to Tarpy's because my last meal there just 2 weeks earlier was impressive--a new menu with raviolis and other new entries. The first sign that things were amiss was I opened my rolled cloth napkin to retrieve the silverware and found a food crusted fork. My guest and I retrieved additional silverware in rolled napkins on an empty table, and found 3 of 4 with dirty silverware--particles of food remnants on the fork.

I mentioned it to the server & she said she would have done the same thing. The wood table felt sticky to the touch. It was not a good start to the meal. The server herself had a runny nose. I considered leaving before we even started but did not want to ruin a rare night out. Its very concerning since there is yet another round of Covid going around.

The artichoke appetizer was under cooked and difficult to cut. The mushroom raviolis, the same dish I ordered 2 weeks earlier and raved about, were barely warm, and a little gummy from a lack of cooking. This time the sauce was an unappetizing green color reminiscent of the Exorcist vomit scene, and had hard pieces of unknown chopped food, including some raw carrots.

The previous time it was a yummy, melt in your mouth creamy sauce with some of the elements mentioned in the menu on top of the dish. My guest's rib rack, $38.00 was ok though unremarkable enough to compete with Costco's cooked ribs, though the potato salad was pedestrian--sort of like something from a large volume deli. I asked him how he compared Tarpy's with the cooked ribs from Costco--and he actually preferred the barb Will probably not be returning because of the inconsistent presentation of the vegetarian dish that on one occasion was really good. After contacting management I was simply given what I have seen is their standard response to complaints--that they hope they will not be judged by the experience.

My pictures are of the Crab Cake and Octopus appetizers. Delicious. A must try is the short ribs and mushroom ravioli. This place is consistently good, the atmosphere is a mix of Mediterranean, Italian, Greek inspired? Really nice rustic feel. Lots of space/options for parties or larger events. A nice place to take guests visiting from out of town and out of the way of the typical crowds on weekends. They have Zonin! One of my favorite Italian proseccos. Also. Worth mentioning: try the cheesecake and pretzel appetizer. Will try to upload more pics!

Thank you Nick for being such an awesome guy and giving me and my friends a great experience. We came in around 8 (an hour before closing) and we were seated right away. We were originally going to go to a seafood restaurant but that reservation fell through so we had to make a last minute search and call nearby restaurants for an open table. Nick greeted us and gave us a quick rundown of the menu.

I ordered the prime rib and Nick was not lying it was one of the reason they were always so packed with return visitors. Thank you Tarby's for coming through and making my night feel so special.

My friends and I weren't in the best mood because we left another restaurant after not being seated even though we had a reservation. We were able to get last minute reservation at Tarpy's and we were seated immediately so it was already a great start. Our server, Nick from Nepal, was exceptional. He was understanding, accommodating, and very amicable.

We ended up ordering steaks, the prawn pasta, and a salad and the food was great! The steaks were cooked perfectly and were tender and fatty. Nick was awesome and even brought us extra drinks to help cheer us up after our shitty experience from earlier this evening. Overall, this was a great dinner to end our trip to Monterey Bay. We will definitely come back the next time we visit.

Exceptional food and service. Definitely our waiter was awesome. She made my Mother feel comfortable picking out a wine. And she helped my cousin with the allergies she has with food. That's not something you can teach. She had genuine compassion. Congratulations on my auntie graduating was another thing she did. I'd def come back for the ambience and the food. Thanks!

Good environment, ordered pork chop, sea bass, calamari, chocolate cake are delicious and got one mongo sorbet free for my birthday.

Trying to find something nice for the evening. I am so glad we made the decision to visit Tarpy's great staff, great food, great environment. I will come again next time.

I highly recommend Tarpy's for event services, I booked them for my wedding reception and Claudia (day of coordinator) and Patrick (day of GM) were so welcoming and helpful especially on such a hectic day for us. - We booked half a year in advance for a Saturday - They answered all questions promptly and thoroughly - Very budget friendly compared to other venues - Beautiful location, with event space separate from restaurant - Amazing food with multiple menu options - Incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive staff Thank you so much for making my reception such a wonderful time. I also recommend them as a restaurant, honestly I eat here whenever I am in the area their fries are 10/10.

Tarpy's Roadhouse is one of my FAVORITE places to eat when the weather is beautiful! Their garden atmosphere outside the restaurant and inside the patio area where you can eat is so pretty. The staff is ALWAYS so wonderful and they really want to meet your needs and requests. The ahi tacos ARE MY FAVORITE APPETIZER.I JUST LOVE THEM! There's a appetizer that is a pretze thatl is huge, warm, soft and so yummy with the cheese and mustard. Salads are all wonderful and their wagyu hamburger with LOBSTER is an experience of its own!

Inside is minimalistic but still elegant. See if you can find some of the fun statues inside and ask about their stories! They also have a private room for business meetings or small party! There's also wine testing adjacent to the restaurant.

One of the best meals I have ever had! The service is exceptional and kind! We are definitely going back. The place itself is quiet cute with a beautiful outdoor seating area.

This is a very good restaurant especially after you spent a long day at Laguna Saca Speedway. The staff is fantastic and the food is great. I have been here over many years and it is very consistent. Love the Spicy Tuna Taco's and if you are into pretzel try the Giant Bavarian.

At long last, after driving by Tarpy's a zillion times, we finally made a lunch reservation this past weekend. First off, super cute place. I loved the outdoor patio. The birds were chirping, a lady sang and it was just warm enough in the sun to enjoy a glass of wine. I ordered the brisket for lunch, we shared the deviled eggs for an appy. I loved the eggs - fried capers on top were nice (not too salty) but the zesty aioli they serve them over was just perfect.

I little salt, a little lemony. Very nice. The brisket was cooked well. Just a bit of mostly rendered fat on it. Moist throughout. The bbq sauce was good, but personal choice I enjoy mustard base bbq more. A huge portion which I unfortunately couldn't finish. Service was meh. by no fault of the waitress herself who was really sweet, and trying really hard.

It was pretty clear that they were understaffed, as we waited over 20 minutes just for our credit card to be processed and an older "gentle"men with a table next to us bitched non-stop about how he was in a rush for a wedding and his table of nine hadn't been served yet (PS - don't come at the busiest time on a Saturday). I'd definitely come back to Tarpy's again. They have a really diverse menu and the vibe is great.

Made a reservation for 6:30pm today, Wednesday 3/23 for outdoor seating. The hostess was nice and gave us a 4 seat table since it wasn't busy. Ten minutes later, another couple was seated outside and the server promptly started getting them drinks and going over the menu. The server looked over at us.and nothing. She goes back in and gets the other tables drinks. Comes back out and starts talking about the drinks with that other table and starts taking their order, looks over at us.literally two tables away.and walks back in.

Now it's 7pm and the server still hasn't even attempted to serve us, the only other people out here on the patio. So, we're leaving. We've never been here before and likely never coming back. Blatantly ignored? Yeah, that's just rude.

Tarpy's is always a great option for good food and has a great ambiance, particularly when the weather cooperates to sit outside. The first time I went to Tarpy's I was on a date and I liked the food so much that when we began to consider a small wedding I picked Tarpy's for the venue. Great food, beautiful setting, and great service makes Tarpy's an easy selection.

We lucked out on the weather and ate outdoors before Christmas. The options for tea drinks were interesting. The deviled eggs and spicy ribs were tasty appetizers. We were happy with the varied salad choices.

Such a beautiful place with an awesome atmosphere. The staff was quick to help, very energetic. The food on the menu all looked so delicious I had a hard time picking an item. I finally settled on the 12 hour brisket sandwich: so soft, very tasty, full of flavor!. Came with potato salad which was also amazing but the sandwich stole the show. My husband got the Shrimp and grits!

That plate tasted out of this world. The grits wasn't grimmy. Had the perfect texture made with creole carrot, gave it a boost of flavor. My son had the white sauce penne. He loved the hell out of that dish and he dont like pasta. We also had calamari as an appetizer, on point with flavor even my 19 month old son went to town on it. They also have a dog menu which has a baked chicken, beef patty or salmon.

We got the grilled chicken for our dog. Yes you are allowed to bring your pup. They do have rules though, please observe when bringing your pet. When ordering from the dog menu a portion of proceeds go to 3 places to help animals.

We held our son's rehearsal dinner here and from beginning to end they made the whole experience wonderful. We were in the Library space, which was set up beautifully and the outdoor patio space was perfect for cocktail hour, it was a great way to start the evening. The food was delicious and the service was first rate, 5 extra people showed up and no problem, they accommodated. Would highly recommend, thank you Tarpy's for an evening we won't forget.

Always a good time here! Definitely a must try! Amazing staff, delicious food and drinks with the best indoor or outdoor environment- your choice. Dog friendly with a dog menu which comes highly recommended from my pup. Love this spot! Oh ya the peanut butter chocolate pie was decadent and to die for!

After years of driving by this restaurant I finally made an actual visit. It was the most perfect, sunny day we decided to sit out in the garden/courtyard area. As soon as you walk in the outdoor rustic aesthetics is just beautiful. I love that the courtyard area still feels just as private as the indoors. The food we had was good and flavorful. Good ingredients and not too expensive.

We brought our own wine and still offered to chill it and pour it for us. The experience couldn't have been completed without our amazing host and server, Nick S. (I'm not sure how to spell his last name!) He was one of the best servers I've ever had! He was so nice, welcoming and very attentive. We had a toddler with us and he was so accommodating and even gave him free desserts! If you're looking for a chill time in the Monterey area, I'd highly recommend this place.

Lovely place great food. We went without reservations on a Sunday afternoon and the place was busy but not over crowded we were seated without having to wait. The place has lovely ambience, live music and really good food. Service is courteous. Definitely recommended.

In town for the night and found this place on google. Was so busy we are lucky we got a seat! Id recommend a reservation ahead of time as theres some seating in the outdoor courtyard which would be perfect on a warm day like today. Staff was very welcoming the minute we walked up. We had the Artichoke, Sirloin, and Chicken, all which were cooked to perfection.

Not a single complaint from either of us and I even got a dessert to go! Will most certainly come back when we are in town and I would certainly recommend to anyone. Prices are well worth the quality of the food. Not to mention the grounds are stunning as well! Will be back!
