They had no flowers in the store and no books to look at. We were rudely told to order on-line.

I wish there was a 10 star rating! A last minute change in my schedule prevented us from seeing our daughter on her birthday, I called 45 minutes before closing with their delivery person gone for the day. I got a call back a few minutes later saying she would make the delivery herself.saved the day!

Edit: Changed my review to five stars. After finding out about my disappointment Danker went above and beyond to make it right. Seriously, AMAZING customer service. Lots of local businesses could take notes from these folks on how to do things. Kudos guys and thank you. Ordered flowers to be delivered to my wife at work. They sent a different arrangement than I ordered and never bothered to ask if it was acceptable. Also, found out they had outsourced my order to a different (closer) florist, which is fine except it wasn't what I ordered.

A phone call goes a long way. I ordered the "bamboo sunshine" arrangement with 5 Gerbera. Very contemporary and to my wife's liking (She's 28). What she received were fine quality wise but it was like the kind of thing you'd send grandma after a hospital stay. Disappointing to say the least.

It pains me to write a bad review but I am really disappointed in this place. I guess I was spoiled by Central Ave Florist but they are closed. I tried to order a topper for a tomb stone, sent an example of the arrangement, agreed on a price and day to pick up the order and they say I never called and placed the order. They didn't even realize the flowers on the topper example were silk flowers.

I know all businesses are struggling right now so I do feel bad but when you have an opportunity to make sale, take advantage of it. The most frustrating thing is the sign for all customers to wear a mask and go in and the emplyees are not wearing a mask, really?

I have ordered from here twice and the flowers are always gorgeous and last a very long time. More importantly, their customer service is outstanding. We had to change the date of delivery a few times because the person we were sending flowers too ended up staying in the hospital longer, and Deb was absolutely amazing and so kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this business for their gorgeous flowers and their stella customer service!

These people are wonderful, I recently had a pet pass away and my friend sent me this beautiful plant as a surprise. I was out at the time and I received a text from Debbie who works there and she informed me that she was there and when I explained I wasn't there she said she would wait to drop it off so it would be okay. Not only that she was beyond kind and comforting for the loss of my pet. Not only is the plant STUNNING but the kindness and extra mile Debbie went made it all the better! I can't wait to do more business with them in the future!

Ordered for a friend, I ordered from out of the states. No problems during the order. They delivered the date I requested. Bouquet looks like picture online. Good service!

Had flowers delivered yesterday for my birthday. Beautiful arrangement, very nicely presented. Touch free delivery. Very fresh flowers, I'm very impressed.

There was a communication issue and the bouquet that I ordered was not what was sent. (COVID issue.) It was beautiful, just not what I ordered. The owner was so apologetic and very gracious in refunding the difference between what I had paid and the bouquet that was delivered, PLUS she removed the delivery change. Customer service at its best. I HIGHLY recommend this florist!

Amazing company! Ordered flowers at 9am and they were delivered by 10:40 and looked beautiful! The delivery man even sang happy birthday to my Mom. Wonderful business and great customer service.

I placed an online order with Danker Florist, not realizing it was in Albany, NY, while I was looking to send a gift basket to Albany, OR. We played phone tag due to time zone differences, and by the time I got back in touch with her, she had already done the legwork to find a florist in OR who could fill the order for me. Very impressed with this level of service and care. If I ever have an occasion to place an order in this area, I will definitely start here!

Needed to order flowers for my Mother-In-Law for her birthday. Seems Albany is shut down. I am out of state. Contacted florists and the woman who answered seemed frazzled but unbelievably helpful. She took time to answer questions and help me get something fitting all while being understaffed. You could hear phones ringing in background but she never rushed me or tried to get me off the phone. It was appreciated. Will definitely use them again. Thank you! My MIL is elderly and alone, and especially, with the closing of Albany, she really enjoyed the pick-me-up.

I placed an order this morning from Boston for a friend in NY to be delivered to her home today. Danker went above and beyond my expectations by calling the recipient to let her know they didn't want to leave her flowers outside in the cold weather and offered to deliver to her work instead. Thank you SO much for this! I was truly surprised by their concern and efforts- this was my best experience in ordering flowers.

I'm adding one star to my review based on the fact that the owner Debbie called me to see if there was anything she could do to address my concerns. That was greatly appreciated and consistent with my review - the service from Danker was very good but the product was disappointing. And since I'm taking the time to update, I can also add that the flowers we received on Saturday are dying as of today (Tuesday).

While I appreciate the very good customer service from Debbie and Danker, they are selling a product and that product is overpriced and of questionable quality. What the owners seems to miss is that most people order flowers to mark a special occasion. The moment of delivery is not repeatable or repairable. If the product doesn't wow the recipient - what's the point? I won't risk another order from Danker. If I want an uncertain experience there are plenty of cheaper options.

Ordered flowers for a family member in the hospital. I should tell you that I live in Canada and the only criteria I gave was that it should be a "happy bouquet". The experience I had was amazing.the bouquet was beautiful, they went above and beyond in trying to deliver and confirmed when they were finally able to. I am so impressed. Thank you to all the members of the Danker team.you are wonderful.

Danker Florist did the flowers at my parents' wedding 40+ years ago and they've been providing flowers for the family ever since. I moved out of the area years ago but still need flowers for special occasions for family. I don't bother ordering online because it's more fun to call directly. The staff have always been kind and helpful.

In fact, I get a kick out of calling, providing a price point and some general direction (i.e. something in season and pink) and let them have fun with the rest. Everything they have delivered has been beautiful.

If you're in the market for grocery store quality arrangements and you want to spend $$$ for it, Danker Florist is for you! My advise, a flower is a flower and why pay triple the price when they all die in the same amount of time! There are better small businesses to support than this one: Enchanted Garden, Surroundings, Ambiance, etc., p.s. it hasn't been owned by a Danker or reputable owner in a long long time;

A very sweet & thorough young lady took my order. We decided on a lovely arrangement of a few live green plants with a few coral roses(their idea) for color and celebration for my daughter's Birthday! Called them at 9:30 and by 11am they were delivered to my daughters work place! I'm happy, daughter was thrilled with her new office plant & her co-workers said I was the best mom! Can''t get better than that!

Beautiful flowers and exactly as I requested. The bouquet was very full and similar to the arrangement I requested on their website (they told me up front they'd need to make a few substitutions which is to be expected). Reasonably priced with delivery. I asked if they could text a photo of the arrangement to me, and they kindly honored my request. THANK YOU! Glad to support a local florist who has been in downtown Albany for a long time!

I live in Illinois, but I found Danker Florist through a Google search to send a birthday bouquet to a dear friend of mine who lives in Albany. The ordering process through the website was so simple and took five minutes on my phone. I liked having the photos as references and chose the Fiesta Bouquet. On the morning of the delivery, a staff member called me to update me that their orange lilies were a bit wilted, and asked me about preferences for alternate flowers or colors.

I thought that this was a nice touch and it gave me the chance to tailor my choices for my friend. My friend received her bouquet in a timely manner; she was very happy with it and sent me the following photo. When they called her for the delivery, she was at work and they even delivered the bouquet to her there rather than leaving it at her apartment. Thank you for helping me make my friend feel special on her birthday!

Tiffany is a blessing! I had issues having flowers delivered for my mom for Valentine's Day from a major online realtor. After a frustrating week of back and forth, I finally decided to place an order with a local florist instead. Boy am I glad I did! Within minutes of placing my order online with Danker, Tiffany called me to confirm my order and verify that my mom would be there for the delivery that very day (she wasn't, but a neighbor was).

Within a few short hours, the most beautiful arrangement had been delivered, and I received a call from the driver confirming it (sorry, I forgot your name!). My mom was delighted with the arrangement, and after seeing the pictures I am as well! I purchased the deluxe florists choice, and with several beautiful roses (in stunning full bloom!) among a bouquet of gorgeous pink and yellow flowers, I'm so glad I did. Thank you for making post-Valentine's a much better experience than the day itself!

After several inconsistent purchases of flowers online through 1-800-Flowers, for my wife's birthday this year I decided to go to an actual florist and look around. I checked various reviews online and then came here on a Monday morning. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and asked me a few simple questions to give her an idea what my wife might like.

She also asked for a budget range and the finished arrangement was well within that. I decided to not go with the "standard" type of flowers that one can see in all the supermarkets and such, and instead she made for me a custom arrangement with lots of bold, beautiful flowers. I couldn't name any of them except the Daisies I specifically requested, but they were nice and some didn't open until several days after the birthday (which meant that they lasted longer). My wife was pleased, so a win all around.

Ordered an Hydrenga arrangement this morning, was my first time using this business as I usually order flowers online & I have to say that neither I or my girlfriend could be happier! They were by the best she has ever gotten from me & totally made her day! Everything from design to delivery was 5 Star so you have a new customer for life! Thank you, Derek

OMG thought of a last minute idea to send to my niece in Albany. Very spontaneously I googled florists within Albany and lucky for me selected Danker from the list!, told them my wish, provided info and viola! Within an hr, just like a fairy godmother waving her wand.a wonderful, cute, whimsical arrangement arrived at my nieces doorstep. It was like they were right next door.

I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I could've been in trouble seeing that by my zip code in billing that I was in New Jersey, they could've given her something that wasn't pretty, etc. But nope, they hit the nail on the head. THANK YOU DANKER FLORIST!

Dankest buds you can buy in Albany. I bought my mom a bouqette of flowers and they were great!

My mother and I will never go anywhere else. Danker will bend over backwards to make you happy. Their flowers are fresh and beautiful and they arrange them beautifully. Best florist in the area by far.
