Desmond Hotel

Management clearly doesn't care about guests. Music blasting loudly at night is encouraged in the courtyard area (which is an interior space and is thus magnified.) You can't get anyone at the front desk to even pick up the phone. A total flophouse. Not worth your time or money.

Hotel is pretty great, staff was really helpful and drivers were quick and friendly. Restaurant definitely needs some help with staffing. Great food but the night mgr? host? seemed pretty clueless

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and very clean. It is a bit noisy if you have a room that's facing their courtyards and they're hosting something but it's not the end of the world. I was lucky and my room faced the parking lot. However, I lost an item and after submitting a ticket and making 3 phone calls over the span of 2 weeks, no one has gotten back to me. It's been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I'd give the hotel 5 stars otherwise but the customer service regarding my lost item just doesn't exist apparently.

Really great hotel- it's enormous, with a great indoor garden area and bar. Highly recommend.

Hotels facilities are basic all the same; but it's the management and the team that makes your stay pleasurable! I want to compliment Mr. Johnson at the front desk for his dedication to excellence, following through with my needs with enthusiasm! He adds incredible value to the whole team!

I have never had a more pleasant experience. I was there this past Sunday and the staff made me feel beyond welcome, but the bartender Anthony went above and beyond what I would expect. He was fast, made amazing drinks and was extremely charismatic. I have never had more fun and felt more comfortable at any other bar! I would absolutely recommend going to Mr. D's you will not be disappointed.

Had a great experience overall with the hotel. The manager gave my kids some food to feed the coy fish. Wife and daughter loved the French toast! Couldn't hear any air planes even though the airport was close by. Indoor pool was very refreshing. Ample parking for our camper we were pulling.

Interesting hotel layout; it was built by American Airlines in 1974 when they tried to get into that business. Their theme was an old time America thing, which resulted in a unique hotel. The hotel has two atriums that are like old town squares. The hotel was clean and the staff was good. The meeting rooms were great, especially the theater. They have a shuttle to the airport, but not to the train station.

Many people with my group arrived by rail, so that would have been nice. The place is obviously popular for weddings because I saw three while I was there. I was impressed with their catering. I went to a banquet there and the food was great.

The Crowne Plaza Albany is an absolute outstanding hotel that provides great quality rooms, superbly made meals and first class service. In March of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a weekend stay at the Crowne Plaza Albany and we enjoyed every moment of our time at the hotel! We were warmly welcomed and graciously treated by the hotel's staff and our hotel room was quite spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean!

The highlight of the Crowne Plaza Albany and our favorite part of the hotel was its immaculate indoor courtyard. The courtyard is filled with multiple dining areas, a gorgeous fountain and guests are able to view it from the comfort of their own room. My wife and I also enjoyed our breakfast at Mr. D's Restaurant & Lounge and found both our meal and the service of the restaurant's staff to be superb! Both my wife and I enjoyed our time and experience at the Crowne Plaza and definitely recommend for all travelers to stay at this wonderful hotel!
