Let me first start off by saying that the photographer and his wife were really super nice and handled the shoot pretty well. My concerns were these: The place where we had our shoot was fantastic, beautiful, except all of the mosquitoes that were eating us alive so we had to move the entire group, which was 10. No big deal except I would have thought that the photographer would have been set up ready to go prior to our arrival and tested the area before we got there, but they did not.
The next area that he selected was nice, but not as nice and the back drop for the pictures were so dark that they appeared black and fake. What little light that we did get appeared to be a weird green color and did not look appealing at all in the final photos. Then the pictures were taken so far away that it was difficult to see the faces and there was so much gap on the sides of the photos, not all of them, but most of them.
The prices are pretty expensive as well for the prints. I wanted to order a CD copy because every photo shoot I have ever done I have elected for this option so I have the rights to the photos to do as I please. The price for their CD was $750, wow. I have never paid that much for a CD of photos, but I do understand his point of the entire family would have access to them, if I choose to do so though.
Then you only get about 2 weeks to look over all of the photos and select the print options that they have. This again, was frustrating and was not enough time to review. If you didn't get them ordered by that time frame you have to pay a $25 fee. I will say this, the best pictures that were taken in the entire set were the last ones of the kids playing that were in prom-to and had the best lighting.
This was my experience and I'm sure that others have different ones of course, but I was not impressed with the photographer in regards to the quality of our photos. Could have been much better on their part as far as planning and determining the best photo options.
