This is the first par five that is reachable for the long hitter. But, the first of three double greens that will test your wedge game as well as your putter. A lay up shot placed well will serve your game better than reaching in two. Don't be long. This short par four will test your short game, a long drive puts you inside the 100 yards.

This is a really nice course to play in the valley. It's a links course so play your long game tight. Overall conditions were favorable. Sand traps looked okay and the greens were in pretty good shape. This is relatively simple course to play, very flat. But the club and ball washer on the cart is a nice feature. They do have portable potties and water jugs through the course.

A friend and I played here this afternoon. It was a decently maintained course as the some of the back 9 greens were a little rough, some of the flags were broken (flags would fall off the tops), and the bunkers weren't great, but overall a nice course. However, the reason for the 3 star is because of the attitude of the staff. The starter told my buddy and I that we needed to hurry up anf tee off on hole 1 while there were people on the green.
It was a 280 yard shot to the green and downwind. I'm not the best, but my buddy can easily stripe a drive that far. We told the starter this, and he scoffed at us. I am not sure why he was rushing us anyway as by the time we got done with #1, we were waiting on the guys in front of us who were waiting on guys in front of them. who were waiting on people in front of them. The pace of play was slow. No desire to return here.

Had a tee time this past weekend, showed up 15 minutes before and was told that I was being "bumped" to a tee time an hour later. I play a fair amount of golf and had no idea being bumped was even a thing. I asked why my tee time was being moved and was told "That's just the way it is" Honestly, that's not a great answer. I was playing as a single and watched two groups of three players tee off ahead of me. I'll not be playing golf there again and that's just the way it is.

Open forgiving public course. Family friendly. Decent prices. Links style. Wide open. Great for beginners. Grounds are well maintained. Great Bloody Mary's and good bar service. No goodie cart girls. Greens were fast. Pro shop has some essentials. balls, hats, gloves. Small driving range on property and putting green. Generally a busy course but the Marshalls do a good job keeping play moving.

The greens make up for the lack of undulation around the course. The constant challenge of the wind makes up for the lack of bunkers and water hazards around the course. Recommendation: Install 3 flag poles. One by the club house the the other two strategically located around the front and back 9. It would help golfers get a reference of what the wind is doing up high, thus able to make better decisions.

The good: The course is usually in great condition, the grass is always cut nice, the greens are in good shape, and the fairways are open. The bad: The course can play long, so if you're new to golf, this will be challenging. The hole placement on the greens are usually incredibly difficult. As if the guy creating the hole placement woke up in a bad mood and decided to take it out of the golfers.
I've learn to read these greens better and instead of 4 putting, I can usually 2 putt. The staff and manager are incredibly rude. I got screwed over because of one of their Pro Shop guys, Frank, not knowing how to use their computer system and understanding how memberships work. To spend that kind of money there, only to be treated poorly by all staff is frustrating.

I played golf here recently, and the course is in great shape, and the facilities were nice. All 4 of us in our group were happy with the amount charged for golf and the course itself, we had a great time. The problem we all had was with the staff. From the start, they were rude to each of us (we all went in separately over a period of about 30 minutes).
We all commented on how they warned us about completing our round and returning the carts by 7:15 pm. We thought this was odd, since sunset wasn't until 7:15, and civil sunset (when it actually gets dark) wasn't until 7:43. We played all 18 holes, and we finished our last hole in the dark, but we had not trouble seeing our balls on the 16th and 17th holes.
When we got in, the guy working the cart return had his car pulled up with the engine running and told us he was about to "lock us in". Contrast this with our experience at another course the week before. We go out later, and we couldn't finish all our holes, so we had to drive a bit to get the carts back after it got dark. The reception at this course was much different.
We were asked about how our rounds were. We were asked if we enjoyed the course. We helped the young man there clean out our carts and then we sat in the parking lot, comparing scores and settling bets. So, you can imagine which course we'll visit in the future. This course can keep the attitude, and we'll spend our money elsewhere.
