Review from a bride. Gemini DJs reached out to me when I was planning my wedding as they commonly worked at the venue where I had my wedding. They seemed very nice and their prices were a bit better than others. 1st red flag: A few weeks before the wedding, I had to fill out their questionnaire regarding songs. I put in a song for each couple for the entrance and got some push back that the dance floor was not long enough (the dance floor is quite long!) and that they don't advise it, etc.

I felt that they wanted to just take the easy route. I said no, I wanted it this way. talked it out and it was fine. 2nd negative: Also during planning, I wanted a list of songs during cocktail hour, they said no, it'll be better during dinner. I said fine. Note that the day of the wedding, these were never played. 3rd: A lot of the upbeat music I requested (and filled out on their form) was played during dessert hour while most of my guests were outside of the ballroom.

I ended up staying on the dance floor with a few ppl and missing my dessert hour completely. 4th: Mike (the owner of the company and who was also DJ/MC that night) was not nice to my brother and pushing back on a request of his. Even when I was telling him to do it. 5th: I selected a Photo Booth as part of the package. A few days before the wedding, they said we can upgrade you for free because we got a new machine. Ok, great. however when we received the photos, ALL of them were off centered and people were cut off.

I emailed them to express my disappointment in this as this is very clear that it's not just one or two groups that were off. And. of course, no reply. no apology. nothing. Guess why. coz they already got their money of course. I had a great time at the wedding but when you disregard requests from the bride and groom, don't treat their family well, don't care if a product of yours isn't good. that, I do not appreciate for sure.

Where to start! Mike and his team absolutely exceeded our expectations. They were great to work with since we booked their team over a year ago. Their expertise made planning so easy for us. We used their photo booth as well which was an awesome addition for our wedding guests. The music was awesome, the presentation was beautiful and the dance floor was unreal all night. 5 stars!

I would say that this is a good company for small events where personalized services are not needed. My wedding guests danced and the music was nice but many of my personal requests went undone. I did not get the DJ I was promised and there was no communication about the change. Many personal songs for entrances were not played. They forgot to do my father's wedding toast.

They did not know the names of my party members.and we had a meeting and paperwork to review all these details prior to the event. I would think twice if you want 100% assurance that your personal touches will be honored. I also complained to the company and was not reimbursed for any of these mistakes.

Gemini DJs was the life of the party! We worked with Mike and his timing, music selection, and ability to read the crowd made for an unforgettable night. Our guests did not get off the dance floor! The additional options we had in terms of live music for the ceremony and late night snacks were an added bonus! We could not say enough about how fantastic Gemini was!

We worked with Mike as our DJ and his assistant Gio - they were amazing! Mike has a great personality and just got our whole vibe of what we were going for with our music. He did a great job with entrance announcements, first dance, etc. Everyone was on the dance floor all night which is all I wanted! Mike is so much fun to work with and kept the party alive all night! Highly recommend!

Gemini DJ's did an amazing job MC'ing our wedding! Not only were they seamless the day-of, but my husband loved how they handled everything and made our wedding planning completely stress-free. Mike & Anthony worked with us to reschedule our wedding 3 times due to Covid! Everything was a non-issue with them and they simply did what they had to do and took care of business.

My husbands favorite vendor lol! We upgraded our photo booth which was a big hit & added-on the dry ice cloud from the very beginning (which mesmerized our guests and made for great photos!). Included in the light show were these beautiful star lights (photo) which shone despite it being a day-time wedding. As the bride, I was happy with the reception, but even HAPPIER with the ceremony music.

My ceremony was perfect because of the timely orchestrations by the DJ set-up in the chapel. Walking down the aisle to Ave Maria was perfectly timed and the whole ambiance was joyful and moving for me, my husband, my family, wedding party, & guests. There were tears of joy everywhere. Gemini Productions is, to put it simply, IT. Anthony and Mike (P) Emcee'd/DJ'd our wedding in June and absolutely ROCKED the place. They were incredible. They had everything we wanted (down to the photo booth and smoke machine), provided it all, and did everything with such class. Anthony was available for any questions or concerns we had, worked with my husband and I on all the music, entrances, and themes we wanted, and when it came to make it all real, they did not disappoint. Mike had everyone up and dancing all night long, played all the music we loved, and really made it a party. You're not going to go wrong with Gemini, they really are the top of the top-shelf for event entertainment!

We reached out to Gemini because they were a preferred vendor for the Westmount Country Club, but we chose Mike and his team because they offer fun and exciting services and are very easy to work with. We wanted a mix of English and Spanish songs for our guests, and they struck a perfect balance and made sure there was music for everyone and kept the dance floor busy all night.

They listened to all of our requests and made sure our vision came to life. Some additional services I would recommend are the candid photographer and TV screens to post live pictures throughout the night and the piano/cello players for the ceremony music. Would definitely recommend Gemini to anyone in need of a DJ!

Damn. That's how I'll start this review. Is zero stars not possible? Damn. What an absolute rip off, and that's only if I take money into account. Money aside, this is the most unprofessional, unprepared, and downright disrespectful group of "DJs" I have ever dealt with in my entire life. It's actually hard to believe they have a "business".

Do you guys have time? I have time. Let me tell you about my experience. The first time I dealt with this "DJ" was scary from the beginning. Very outdated flo-rida and pitbull was blaring through the speakers at alarming volumes at a brunch. It's 2021. After all the guests started realizing we were 20 years behind the times, I approached the "DJ" and asked him to play something current.

He was highly offended, rude and proceeded to play some more horribly outdated music from 2010. Clearly zero knowledge of music, yet calls himself a "DJ". Bizarre. If you want the jersey shore from 15 years ago, this is your company. But honestly, music taste is subjective so I won't even hold their lack of music knowledge against them. Let's talk about everything else. Let's talk about the fact the "DJ" disappears from the DJ booth to stand by the bar for hours and get drunk while on the clock.

He will tell you he was using the bathroom. Let's talk about the fact the "DJ" doesn't tape down wires so guests trip, hurt themselves, and break speakers. Let's talk about the fact the "DJ" totally butchers any MC responsibilities he has. Let's talk about the fact the "DJ" is totally incapable of keeping things on schedule (probably because he's getting drunk.) Or maybe let's talk about the fact the "DJ" talks back extremely aggressively to paying customers about how he's done 3000 weddings and goes on and on about how long he's been doing this and how much of a professional he is. Yikes.

Quick tip that has worked well for me in life - Shut your mouth and do your job. This a VERY whiny group of immature, possibly alcoholic (disappear to the bar constantly) group of "DJs" who are totally incapable of doing their job and following direction. The lack of care, preparation, and professionalism was extremely disappointing and borderline offensive.

Every client should matter and that is not how they operate. They can respond to this review however they see fit but the facts are the facts. Please beware of these guys. They don't care about music, they don't care about you and they don't care about the safety of your guests or the experience they will have. They simply want to put their 2011 "mix" on auto pilot and collect an easy pay day. Stay away!

Recently hired Gemini for an event (wedding reception) Mike and his team are great. We were a little late to the booking but that didn't stop Mike from being responsive and super helpful. The crew facilitated a great playlist that many came up to us throughout the event complimenting us on how great and classy it was. Definitely consider Gemini for all your future DJ needs.

Stop looking for a DJ right now! These guys are the best! We hired Gemini for my daughter's Sweet 16 last week and from the start they were extremely professional always getting back to us right away answering all our questions. They had us fill out a form to see what kind of music my daughter wanted and then we had a meeting prior to the event to make sure everything was how we wanted.

Party day came and they did not disappoint! They had that party cranking immediately! Except for when we were eating I don't think there was a moment all night that there was not a crowd on that dance floor! Her friends have not stopped talking about the night! Thank Gemini for making my daughter's Sweet 16 a memorable success! Hire these guys you won't be disappointed!

These guys were the best DJ's and music production company we've ever worked with. We just had our daughters Quinceanera party and Mike and his team worked with us to plan out a very traditional and authentic Cuban evening of ceremony; blessings, music etc. Prices were reasonable, we also had a piano player for the cocktail hour Gene who was terrific. Loved how accommodating these guys were in every step of the process.

We also had a very fun and playful mirror photo booth that our guests really enjoyed. We literally danced for 4+ hours. My guests even commented that they've never been to an affair where just about everyone regardless of age was on the dance floor! Can't wait to work with these guys again. We will absolutely use them again.

Absolutely fantastic. Could not be more happy. Best NYE wedding. Mike and his crew really went above and beyond. They were so amazing. I'm am speechless of how great our wedding was. Thank you so much mike for a great wedding.

AMAZING! We are ecstatic that we decided to book Gemini Productions to DJ & MC our wedding. Anthony and his team were over the top professional, and such a pleasure to work with. They had our guests on the dance floor from the beginning of the night, right until the very last second. We cannot thank them enough for making our night so much fun. He kept the energy level up all night and our family and friends keep mentioning how fantastic our DJ and MC were. He played all of the right music and was so responsive to our vibe. I had Mike P DJ for my sweet 16. I had very high expectations as Gemini Productions was highly recommend to me. Every meeting we had, Mike was so rude and didn't want to hear any of my opinions on the song choices I wanted him to play for my party. He assured me he knew what type of music I wanted. When the day came it was a huge disappointment.

I paid extra for special lights and he assured me he knew the venue very well as he was the house DJ. When I arrived at my party the lights were too big for the venue and instead of looking down on the dance floor it was lying on the ground. When I had the father-daughter dance I specifically told him to cut the music short and he wasn't even looking at me while the dance was going on.

He was constantly on his phone and kept disappearing for large intervals. He didn't play the songs I requested and was very uptight when my guests suggested a song. Afterwards he gave me a stack of business cards to hand out for recommendations. I would NOT recommended Mike P for ANY event. I paid close to $2000 and did NOT receive the service I was promised.

I could of done a better job at song choices if I plugged my playlist into a speaker on shuffle. Do NOT waste your money on this disgrace of a "DJ" pff if you would even consider him a DJ.

Let me start by saying that this company came highly recommended by several family members and close friends. I am not sure if my high expectations are what caused my ultimate disappointment in the service. DJ Mike P was the DJ at my event and I would not recommend him AT ALL. He made comments about me not being helpful and providing him with an ample playlist of songs for my event.

I sent an e-mail a few days prior to the event with several artists I listen to, as well as requests my quests asked for. To his credit, he played them all. one right after another, at the start of the party, or while we were eating. While eating, Mike disappeared for 15-20 minutes. We saw him walk down from a second floor room (not part of our event) with phone in head.

He also disappeared several more times for 10-15 minute increments throughout the party and the head hostess of the party found him in a back room, sitting down, on the phone. When he was at his DJ booth, he was on his phone sitting down. He made limited attempts to get my guests up and dancing, and provided a lovely attitude when we asked him to switch up the music.

The ongoing joke with my guests is to now post social media pictures of my guests behind the DJ booth pretending to DJ since Mike was no where to be found. At one point the music was so loud, guests were actually leaving the room because they could not even hear one another when speaking. Mike made no effort to interact with the guests. He also used the wrong name, several times, when introducing me. In all fairness, I did e-mail the Director of Services, who assured me he would speak to the DJ.

We used Gemini Productions for a photobooth that we had at a birthday party. Before booking, they gave the whole sales pitch and promised that they'd bring a ton of props for the theme, a full gold back drop and make a photo album book (if I bought an album). When the worker set up the booth, the photos were in such poor quality and the gold back drop I requested barely fit in the background.

The worker sat on his phone the whole party and was not a help one bit! I ended up having to make the photo album and get people to use the booth. I regret even having one at the party because of all the work I had to do. All this company wants is your money. They even email you several times asking if you're still interested. red flag from the beginning.

We absolutely loved out night with the guys from Gemini Productions - DJ Mike Albanese and EmCee Gio were absolutely AWESOME. From the first time meeting DJ Mike the process was not only easy and fun, but he truly put us as ease throughout all of the wedding planning process - They were professional, punctual, energetic, fun and ready to party! They kept the dance floor rocking all night long, played to the crowd, had a blast and truly made our night a great one!

We had Anthony as our DJ for our wedding in October 2016 at the Old Tappan Manor. What a great experience! You should definitely use Gemini for your event! From our first meeting at their studio, after discussing only a few music preferences, we felt with confidence that Anthony totally understood what we wanted to hear on our wedding day. If you feel, like we do, that the music and DJ involvement can make or break a wedding vibe, you won't be disappointed!

The music was amazing - so matched to our preferences that it was as if my iTunes was on shuffle. We had a great crooner/coffee house vibe for cocktail hour, then a lively 90s-00s party on the dance floor. Anthony was not overbearing in any way - not a mic hog or one of those awkward DJs that makes your guests feel uncomfortable. Our friends and family were so impressed.

We opted for a very classic look, which they were able to accommodate with a discrete DJ table set up. They definitely do offer some intricate lighting packages and extras if that is what you are looking for! We also had Gemini provide the photo booth for our wedding. It was awesome - the booth was really large to allow a dozen of us to squeeze in at a time!

We also requested that they leave one side of the booth open so that we could peek over to see what craziness was happening. They provided a great selection of props. You can select a strip with 3 poses and a wedding logo or 4 poses with no logo with two prints per session and a digital log which we will be getting access to.

Really not sure how these bad reviews came about, all I can say about Gemini is positive. From the beginning of our experience working with the staff to the day of our wedding the everyone was attentive and professional. Our wedding night could not have been better. There never seemed to be a time when people weren't on the dance floor. Young and old remarked at how good the music was and how they kept the dancing moving all night long. Super impressed with Gemini, thanks guys for making our music choice amazing.

Gemini missed the mark. We used Gemini for our recent wedding and anniversary celebration. We'd rate them average. There were many elements they were involved in and responsible for during both the Ceremony and Reception portions of our event (video montages, etc.), and although we reviewed with them many many times and for several months, they ultimately got it about half-right.

We also had a problem with them showing up on-time at the venue as agreed to for the weekend event. Their no-show was pretty scary and anxiety filled for several hours but they did in fact finally arrive and able to start on-time. They performed their own set list of average wedding songs which was far different than what we provided and planned and discussed with them for several months.

We were very disappointed and far from the wow factor we thought we'd get for the price we paid. Out guests danced the night away - but it was all as a result of the crowd and definitely not the music. Gemini gets a B-/C+ for doing a very typical and average job.

Kevin Kacmarcik did our wedding video and the picture quality was extremely poor. It's highly likely their camera malfunctioned during the wedding. The first version of the video looked like it was a broken TV. When I pointed this out to Kevin he acted surprised, but all of our friends who watched it were immediately shocked by the bad quality.

If he reviewed the footage prior to sending the video to us, Kevin himself should have realized the footage quality was poor. In the final product (which we received more than five months later) there was a reddish tint throughout much of the video and the video was blurry. See the photos I attached. Gemini refused to offer any discount or refund.

Dissatisfied with the POOR QUALITY and *inadequate* customer service. My sister chose Gemini to create the video of the most important day of her life, her wedding day. It's inexpressibly unfortunate that the video she has to remember her precious moments are unprofessionally BLURRY, in addition to being tinted RED throughout. Gemini should have given her a refund for not producing the high-quality video that they had assured her they would.

Gemini did our wedding at the Manor in West Orange this past July. Mike was our DJ and we could not be happier with his professionalism and dedication to making sure all of our needs and requests were met. He stayed in constant contact with us and even went as far as planning two live performance surprises for me during the reception as a gift from my husband.

We not only booked them as a DJ, we also got the step and repeat back drop which I have added photos of. What was great about that is its a bit classier than the new traditional photo booth which can only squeeze 3 people. These are professional photos taken in front of our personalized backdrop. In the end we got a disk of all the photos taken and hundreds of keepsake photos that are printed on the spot for you and your guests to take home as a keepsake gift which we provided frames for.

We also got fog for the dance floor, a great DJ display with 2 flat screens that played a slide show of 80 photos during the reception as well as white drapery around the entire room which reflected out up lights beautifully. I couldn't have been happier with the look and feel of the room when it was revealed for me for the first time when we were introduced as husband and wife.

Thank you Mike and Gemini for your wonderful job. Everyone had a great time and the dance floor was never empty. One last thing to add.don't book any of your other vendors until you check out Gemini studios. We get discounts at some of their other vendors as well. We booked the limo company there and created our invitations.

Very unorganized.dancefloor empty at our wedding.didnt play any of the music we asked for. They used the wrong monogram for photobooth.owner and mc of our wedding asked my husband for extra payment at our cocktail hour very unprofessional.not worth it.very disappointed

We loved mtg with them and will be having the owner as our MC. They can fit into whatever style your event is and have a client portion to their website for you to input special songs, requests and a do not play list. They have a wide variety of lighting options as well. We went with 25 led uplights that will be linked to do a customized slow roll.

We also did intelligent dance floor lighting with 4 heads mounted on an 8 ft truss system and uplit DJ booth. They were flexible with their pricing and easy to negotiate with. I'll put a more indepth review up after the wedding, but so far they've been great!
