At first it seemed like it was a good restaurant nice decor jazz flowing. We received service that wasn't what we saw other customers were getting we wasn't informed of the dinner specials. Our server was very non shalant. I hope it wasn't just a minor mistake. H oh w do you not offer all your guests the special of the day.

We had another great meal at Luna's today. I had the fried shrimp and grits and my wife the teriyaki steak tips. Both were prepared perfectly. You know when you're in an upscale restaurant when your food comes out at the correct time. By that I mean, the appetizers (French onion soup and fried green tomatoes) were served and the entree didn't come out until we finished the appetizers.
I hate having my salad or appetizers on the table half eaten and the entree is brought out. Doesn't happen at Luna's. The staff is friendly and professional and were there with drinks and refills without us having to ask. I also got to meet the owner and shake his hand. Nice, professional man who cares about his customers and his business. Thank you for yet another fantastic meal in a beautiful setting.

Luna's is a great atmosphere with excellent food. I've dined here many times and it's consistently wonderful. Service is superb, and Juan frequently stops by the tables himself to check on the meals. Desserts are all outstanding too! Walk across the hall to the piano bar for an after dinner cocktail and some music. Highly recommend!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Owner is a total POS who ruined our whole experience, embarrassing my grandmother who is a 98 year old veteran for using her own tea bag after asking if they offered the kind she drinks. Owner came over, made a scene. no excuse for such immature behavior from an owner of a "fine" dining establishment. Will make sure I tell everyone I know to steer clear of this place.

Rude and disrespectful to a 98 yr old Veteran because she brought her own tea bag? WT? Did you offer her a alternative or did you just need to expose your nasty spirt? What you didn't know Juan is that my 70 year old mother had just had Brest cancer surgery and just wanted to have a nice lunch with her husband and mother and you when out of your way to ruin it.
Both my 98 year old Grandmother and 78 yr old father are handicapped. Did you move their walkers out of the way so they couldn't get up and leave your restaurant when you decided to pull up a chair to harass them? I wonder if they hadn't all been senior citizens would you have been so disrespectful? I don't need you to thank me for not returning. You can thank me for telling everyone I can reach what kind of person you are.

Disgusted with this restaurant manager when I found out that they had a problem with a 99 year old mother bringing her preferred brand of tea bag to lunch and only asked for hot water. We all should only be so lucky to have our mother around for this length of time! Especially in these times. What a horrible heart breaking scene this must have been for the mother and daughter and her guest.
Will never frequent this so called establishment again. In response to your pathetic response, the proper business owner response would be " I would be more than happy to bring you a pot of hot water for your tea, but I will still have to charge you for tea." That's what is known as a win win situation for each party, just "food for thought". Wow! Now I find out that YOU did not even ask what kind of tea it was! You keep digging your hole deeper

We had actually planned to visit another restaurant in the area; but when we arrived, they were closed, even though Yelp showed open today. Sigh. Anyway, we were lucky enough to happen across Luna. When we walked in, we learned that the restaurant was full due to reservations. Luckily, we could be seated in the bar. The Owner came and showed us to our table; later, he even came back by to check on us.
You could tell that he is very customer oriented, as he stopped (and was stopped by) people as he walked through. Everyone seemed to enjoy his company. Then, the food came. As you can see by the pictures, the presentation was appetizing, and we both enjoyed our dishes. We could see why locals frequent this establishment, and I think you'll be happy when you visit, too.

Wow wow wow! Everything about this place was amazing. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place just wanting to get a bite to eat and we were blown away by this place. Our server Nick was very kind and tentative to us and handled us very well. The food is out of this world and as my boyfriend says it is "so good that i would fight anyone for scraps good" I'm very pleased with this place and will definitely be returning. The only thing that was a little confusing is where the host stand was.

Server was friendly but overwhelmed. Large party and she was handling 6-8 tables including bussing them and resetting She was doing the best she could with limited help. We ordered a bottle of wine and they only had one which has been opened and was 75% full and they couldn't give it to us. So we had two glasses from it which cost $20 and asked again for the remainder and she said they would not approve of that We could buy two more for another $20 and the bottle price was only $31 Have been here many times with excellent service and will consider returning. Was planning on salads and desserts with coffee but opted to skip due to the way we were treated. Never saw a manager or anyone other than our waitress. The food was excellent as always. They apparently overbooked for their staffing capabilities.

Lovely Birthday Dinner! The service was excellent. I love that they really worked as a team, helping to cover each other's stations when someone was backed up. And everyone was super nice. The food was excellent, especially the deserts. I didn't make a point of mentioning that we were celebrating a birthday but one of the staff picked up on it and comped one desert.

I would give it zero stars if I could - Cheap Wine was room temperature after he said they were out! Vegetable serving was microscopic, then charged me $5.50 for side of.50 worth of side vegetables, charged me extra just to change the dressing from Blue cheese to ranch on my wedge, and served boil in the bag rice with the salmon! Don't waste your time or money unless you are gray headed, retired, and have lots of money!

Went for a lunch meeting. Very nice atmosphere. Staff was not super friendly and seemed very stretched. We had to ask multiple times for the check. Not the quickest lunch option. Excellent salmon salad and shrimp salad. Loved the warm dinner roll. Nice menu. Will be back for dinner when we are not as crunched for time.

Absolutely uncalled for how disrespected I was. Tried to call the restaurant and inquire about having my WEDDING catered. I called and had a hard time trying to say what I needed (yes sometimes I am not good with words). The man on the phones response was "hurry up I am busy" so I hung up. I decided to call back because it was uncalled for but I wanted to speak with the manager to try and get the catering set. Turns out I was being disrespected by the OWNER. NO business should be run like this, and after telling him what I wanted and the business I needed he then proceeded to tell me he would love to help. I of course declined. But hopefully this will make a point if anyone decides to try and call and speak to the restaurant. If you do maybe try when they are not so busy.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The drinks are amazing, be sure to ask for Maddi on the piano bar side to make your Mermaid drink! The atmosphere is so relaxing, and the food is the best I have ever had! The shrimp and scallops skewers are perfectly cooked, not chewy like most places cook the scallops. The shrimp was cooked just right and the seasoning was perfect. I will definitely eat here again and again!

Wow, not good wow, shockingly bad wow. They made my Valentine's Day dinner quite memorable. First off, I am qualified to make such claims as my first degree was in culinary arts and I worked many years as a professional chef. My wife and I reserved a table for Valentine's Day, and were not informed in advance that there would be a fixed menu.
My wife had chosen her preferred items off the online menu. None of it was available and we had to order from the prepared menu. In fine dining this is not necessarily a bad thing. It allows a kitchen to optimize for a busy night, and allows a skilled kitchen to even upscale the quality of the food and showcase their strengths. This is not to be confused with banquet service, which is designed to feed a massive amount of people at a low cost and questionable quality.
In banquet service you pre-cook most of the food and hold it in warming racks, etc. this usually results in over cooked food and poor quality, but very fast service. The later is what they provided. Things were bad from the start. My old fashioned (bartender 101) was made with sour mix and unsweetened making it so bitter it was undrinkable. I sent it back, the 2nd drink was better, but not an old fashioned.
I was scared to try a 3rd time. Next bread service was nothing more than brown and serve rolls, right off the back of the Sysco truck. Then a salad, grilled romaine, tenderloin, and blue cheese. Normally it's not a big deal to prep and hold salads for later service.unless it's a warm salad! Then you get limp greens, which we did. Course 3 was duck, Brussels and orange glaze.
The Brussel sprouts were over cooked and had a sulfur oxide smell and bitter taste. The duck was insanely over cooked and had a limp squishy skin and.tasted like liver. It was dry and grey all the way through. It had all been held so long it was breaking down. I sent it back. My second duck was also overcooked, but not as dry. I choked it down scared to try for 3 times.
At this point it's clear that the cooks (not chefs) had the expertise of a line cook. I'm along for the ride now! Let's see how far down the rabbit hole they can drag us. The dessert course was described to be to be like a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. What I got was nothing like a brownie. It was a soft warm pudding like cake.
Probably from a mix, held in a Pyrex dish in a water bath and inverted on to the plate. It was like the pre-made lava cakes you can buy at Costco, but without the chocolate center and not as good. The vanilla ice cream was fine, but not spectacular. It wasn't a high butter fat ice cream or anything special. The price for this underwhelming experience? $126 before tip.

A high end dining establishment that you wouldn't expect in North Georgia it's so good! Literally everything I've had here has been amazing from the appetizers to desserts. The menu is designed with certain sides, but they are great about switching things up and letting out get exactly what you want. Their wine list is filled with an option for every occasion. If you're looking for a place for a special occasion or even just a nice night out, this is your place!

Luna's staff is top notch and very professional. We probably asked over 100 questions as we planned and we got what we needed every time, either via email or by phone. On the day of, the staff was prompt and stayed busy making sure all of our guests were accommodated within the timeline that we set. They were also just a lot of fun to work with in general. Had no previous experience with our venue so they came out to visit first and had no hiccups on the day of.
This is important to note because we had asked them to come out to see the dinner space first as it is very tight and we were not sure if a long table for 60 would work. Roland and staff said they would do whatever was needed to make it work and they did! The space was very tight, but all of the guests got their meals on time. That really helped us pull off a beautiful part of our event that we really looked forward to and hoped would work out.
Food was excellent at the tasting and on the big day. We had a custom plated meal with a cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres to start. Our guests had lemonade when they arrived to our venue, and enjoyed all of the food and drinks that followed. Luna's was even able to prepare some items onsite, and assisted with the cake cutting. We had shrimp and grits; peach glazed chicken; and a vegetarian that our vegetarian friends really appreciated and enjoyed.
I should note that we provided our own drinks, and Luna's bartended and also gave great suggestions on what to do for drink station set up. We appreciate little touches like staff bringing us food while we were taking pictures after the ceremony or drinks while we were dancing in the evening, just so we didn't have to walk away from the fun to get what we needed. We would love to visit Luna's for dinner sometime, and we would recommend them to anyone hosting an event in the area!

Went here with my parents after a long day at the ACRA regatta. At first it seemed like it was going to be a great dinner but the service was strange. It took forever to get our drinks then even longer to get food. Both lemon drops I ordered tasted completely different. The waitress asked us if we wanted bread after taking all of our plates, not sure what she expected us to put the bread on. Overall food was good, dessert wasn't worth it and the service was rough. We wouldn't go back, there are much better places to eat in the area like yellowfin!

We had a very nice dinner here. Our server was a bit stressed but she treated us very friendly we ordered apps and had them served and eaten before we ever ordered our entrees. Then we waited quite a while for our food. The owner even sent out free desserts for us yet a personal apology would have been nice. The food was very fresh and well made I would go back again when in the area.

Had another great lunch meeting at Lunas. Juan was there to greet our party and got us seated right away. We had a great waitress she was very attentive. I had the cream of mushroom soup and the Blackened Grouper. Awesome as usual. And some of the party had dessert. The cheesecake looked Marvelous! Creme Brulee was Devine also. You must really visit this place.
