The Foster House is a beautiful home built in 1887 by Henry Foster where he and his wife raised their family of 7 children. The Foster House has been a restaurant and special events facility since 2003. Enjoy dining in any of our 4 dining rooms, tastefully restored & decorated as it might have been in the late 19th century. Have your wedding reception or special event on our beautiful brick patio under century-old pecan trees.
Here at The Foster House, we strive to make our customers and special event patrons to feel at home and to know their happiness is our priority, where a balance of history & Southern charm will complement your special day to make it a dream come true.

If you want a simple selection at a great price, this is your place. We had the Sunday brunch. $12.95 a person, drink dessert included. Today's selection was grits, fried chicken, pork loin, black eye peas, creamed corn, smoked sausage, mac n cheese, watermelon, coleslaw. corn bread, yeast rolls. Peach cobbler, banana pudding, strawberry cake. All scratch cooking. Peaceful setting. Of you like the old school southern cooking this is your place. Let yourself in through the front door. Worth the stop.

It was good, just not my cup of tea. Online, it says they have breakfast 730am-10am M-F with brunch on Sunday. Bc of Covid, they are only doing Lunch. Wish I would have known before I paid $14 a person to eat the geriatrics 11 a.m. special. Green beans, black eyed peas, grits, cream corn, ham, and Corn bread were not what I was expecting for 11am.
That being said, The Creamed corn was good, fried chicken was very good, and banana pudding was good. We got there at 10:55 a.m. but they were not ready to serve until 11:20 am. We should have asked if it was breakfast but what else do you serve at 11 a.m. on the weekends? Would have left if we hadn't already waited so long. I get four stars because the food wasn't bad it was just overpriced and they need to let people know that they have just stop serving breakfast because I can't be the first person to go in there at 11 a.m. on a Sunday expecting breakfast or brunch and I get the 330pm old folks home special

Older time-period appropriate house to get southern comfort food with friendly service. Got yummy chicken salad and sweet potato chips and was good portion for lunch. Quick service which is essential for sitdown work time lunch. People-it's an old house, that is what is nice about it. Relaxed, welcoming and I'll be back.

I had to rewrite my experience as I type too fast when I'm so excited in wanting to share my experience and doing so, I misspell words. My experience there has been so great with southern hospitality and great southern food. Many cultures have there scenario. Taking a drive to cumming Georgia was worth it to experience the southern culture to excellence.
A house from the 1800s and four dining rooms with a great patio. The fried chicken and veggies was beyond grandmas kitchen, with great deserts. The experience was great. I will be back for sure.

It was set in a charming older home. Very nicely decorated. But, we will never visit this establishment again. The service was less than stellar. The buffet looked sparse, and unappealing. Once we had placed our order, they came back and informed us that there was no squash casserole. I said well, I was hoping for a vegetable, could I substitute a side salad for the squash casserole? Sure, that will be an extra charge.
I said why will there be an extra charge? You don't have what I ordered. I am being inconvenienced. Any other restaurant woukd have substituted anything you wanted to appease their customer. obviously, this establishment doesn't care about having repeat customers. That upcharge cost them more than just a few customers. The food was okay. The fried green tomatoes were a disappointment.

This is our favorite lunch place. We eat here 2-3 days a week. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my favorite, because that's when they have their delicious casseroles. Locally family owned and operated, they will give you all the Southern Hospitality you can handle, and traditional family style favorites to keep your belly full!
