Monica opened Alexander Event Catering Company in 2008. She followed her multi generational calling, much like her grandfather, father and uncle, who were Executive Chefs, professionally trained in Europe. It was that calling that had her working in her father's restaurant at the early age of 15, on the gold coast of Long Island, NY.

Alexander Event Catering exceeded my husband and I's expectations for our wedding! It was such an amazing experience from the very first day Austin Blake answered my inquiry to our big day. He honestly made everything stress free, seamless, and enjoyable! He was very prompt with answering calls and emails and never missed anything. He pays very close attention to detail and gave great guidance and advise and always with a positive attitude.
He is everything you need and everything you didn't know you needed. All my guests keep talking about how great the food, drinks, and service was! His staff are amazing, friendly, and efficient. Austin put every effort into making my husband and I feel so special on our day and we are forever grateful for him and his team!

We hired Alexander Event Catering with Valentina as our Account Manager for a Celebration of Life for my Godmother who recently passed and we are SO glad we did! We had a cocktail style event for about 75 people at our private residence and it was a Celebration of Life like no other, if i do say so myself - Thanks to Alexander Event Catering! Valentina and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with and made our vision for the event truly come to life.
The food was absolutely delicious, the presentation was impeccable, and I cannot say enough good things about the event staff. They were all amazing! The staff was courteous, fun, and so so hard working. Valentina was so kind, patient, and went above and beyond to fulfill all our special requests. Having previously worked in the industry, I know how stressful and demanding events can be and Valentina and her team were such a calming presence in which we were so grateful for especially during such a time.

Alexander Event Catering is amazing! They truly made my wedding stress free and magical. From day one, Austin gave great advice, guidance, and feedback. He understood our vision right away. He is creative, attentive and a true artist. He always got back to my phone calls and e-mails quickly. He is so positive and vibrant. My husband and I can't thank him and the Alexander Event Catering team enough. Weeks later, and my guests are still talking about the catering service. I would easily recommend them for any event.

Thank you for being so incredible! Our guest couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was and were amazed at how the food just kept coming throughout the night. Your staff was amazing and went the extra mile for my wife and I! Making sure we ate and didnt get to distracted brought us food and it was so helpful because we just never seemed to have time to stop!

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend hiring Alexander Event Catering for any event! We hired Alexander's Event Catering for our wedding and we are so happy with our decision. Austin Blake is fantastic to work with and made the entire experience enjoyable! Which is very impressive because it is a pretty daunting task in my opinion. I was very nervous about choosing food everyone would like/enjoy, and then picking all the tableware. But Austin was there with us every step of the way and made everything so easy. The food was delicious and the presentation was impeccable! 5 stars!

Working with Dorina was an absolute pleasure. Planning a wedding when living in a different city is no easy task. She was prompt with answering emails and did everything she could to work with our difficult schedules when coming to town. She took our vision of a romantic garden style wedding and added some fun elements of lighting to incorporate our love for electronic music festivals.
The food was out of this world and all of our guests are still talking about the passed hors d'oeuvres. The lamb chops, OH MY GOSH. Thank you Akexander Events for making our wedding a dream come true!

Successful event, largely due to Alexander Event Catering! We hired Alexander Event Catering and we are more than satisfied! Michelle Reckseit is very professional, organized and methodical. We were well taken care of throughout the organization of our event. The quality of the food was up to our expectations and our guests enjoyed themselves. The servers are professional and courteous, doing everything possible to make our guests happy. I recommend Alexander Event Catering, you will not be disappointed.

Alexander Events, with Austin Blake as our account manager, catered our two weddings and WOW were they great! Our first wedding was a formal multi-course sit down dinner for 55 people, while the second was a more casual cocktail style event with food stations for 225 people. Alexander Events offered a multitude of options within our budget and made us feel that nearly anything was possible.
They were absolutely spot-on for both events. Their food is delicious, and their presentation deserves special recognition. Working with Austin was a true pleasure from our very first call, to contract negotiations, tastings, and all the way through the events themselves. I am so happy that we chose Alexander Events as our caterer!

Felix, Austin, and Angela from Alexander's catering are wonderful to work with. We recently had them cater our wedding at the Bonnet House. The food was delicious, the service A+,a nd the personalized touch of having Felix, the owner directly involved in our event, was a real plus. Austin did an amazing job coordinating the event and Angela provided us with creative entertainment that our guests are still talking about. Highly recommend this company for your event and catering needs!

Felix and his team at A Alexander are absolutely incredible! We hired them as our caterer for a wedding at Vizcaya in September and I can't describe what a pleasure it was working with Felix to plan our food. Not only is the food from cocktail hour to dessert delicious (our guests are still talking about the food we had!), but Felix is so helpful in all aspects.
He went above and beyond to help us get a dance floor and cooling fans to help with the Miami heat. The team at A Alexander will truly help you realize your culinary visions for your event and I cannot recommend them enough. They are the BEST!

I could not be happier with my experience with Alexander Events for my wedding. We had welcome drink mojitos that were not only beautiful, but also delicious, I received numerous complements on the hors d'eouvres, and the dinners were absolutely amazing! When I submitted my inquiry online, Felix called me within an hour to hear what it was I was looking for, he took this information and created a PERFECT menu the first time!
The only thing we ended up swapping out (at Felix's recommendation) was the type of salad, simply due to the timeline I was trying to stay within. His experience with my venue was invaluable in determining the best setup (plated vs buffet). All of the staff the day of the wedding was extremely professional and friendly! They made me and my husband a plate of hors d'eouvres when they noticed we weren't getting to grab much and boxed up the rest of our dinners when we were only able to eat about half. (They were a delicious late night snack!) They also made sure we were able to get drink refills when we weren't able to make it up to the bar. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Alexander Events to anyone looking to have an event catered.

As an event planner, its important for me to work with caterers that not only provide incredible food but also amazing service and A Alexander Event Catering does just that! From first point of contact with Monica, I received a quote from her same day! Which is SO key for me when presenting options to my clients. She then was available to me at anytime during my meetings to ask questions.
Then Felix, followed up several times a week out to insure no detail was missed. Then came the day of the event. Sonia the Catering Sales Manager arrived right on time with her lovely smile to do a quick walk through right before the crew came in. Handled last minute changes like a true professional and the crew came in and followed suit. The food was DELICIOUS!
My event had a few chefs and restaurant owners attending and they raved about the taste and presentation to my clients all night. And then of course their service was exceptional. Both myself and my clients were so grateful to have such thoughtful and prompt service from the staff. I will 100% be using AAEC again for future events and recommend them to anyone reading this post!

We used A Alexander for our wedding last week. There are a few things we'd like to share for other couples looking for a caterer for their south Florida wedding. We chose A Alexander because they can cover all of the food and all of the rentals, which made it much easier for us since our venue didn't provide much. Finalizing the contract was a bit frustrating.
We'd have a few conversations (during which Felix mostly said yes) but then the contract wouldn't get updated accordingly. Just make sure you read it over line by line each time they send another contract. For example, our contract said that we'd have welcome mojitos served in mason jars, and then one randomly said plastic cups. We also had to give a final number fairly early so we ended up needing to pay our minimum guarantee even though we were about 15 adults less (we've later learned that other caterers provide a 2 week window for final numbers instead of 6 weeks so just be informed about that.) A few things went differently than we had planned during the actual wedding.
While apparently there was enough food for everyone according to Felix, many of our guests told us that they didn't get appetizers during cocktail hour or fruit during dessert. We also were missing low top tables which Felix mentioned he'd let us know but then we assumed we'd have them when we didn't hear that we wouldn't. We also were supposed to have a double bar during cocktail hour but we only had a single bar.
We also thought our guests would be served at the buffet but it was self serve. Things like that. All of our other wedding vendors were 5/5 but we just felt the catering experience could have been better.

We used Alexander Events for our wedding in April, for the most part our experience was good, the food was good and the presentation was really nice. However, finalizing the contract was pretty bad. it wasn't mentioned until 2 weeks before that our catering package only included 4 hours of service time including the cocktail hour. Our wedding start time of 4:30 ( which is pretty typical) had already been communicated to all of our guests.
This time constraint would put our wedding ending at 9 pm assuming cocktail hour would begin at 5 pm, which i think most couples could agree that a 9pm end time for a day you've been planning for a year is unacceptable. It wasn't so much of an issue that there were these time constraints it's just that it was communicated SO late in the game that we weren't in a position to dedicate even MORE funds to catering, it just wasn't something we'd budgeted for.
Not to mention we were quoted one price for the additional time and then he (Felix one of the owners) came back and gave us a price double that. he had misquoted us but wasn't willing to honor it after that. The whole situation left our hands pretty much tied. I'd all but begged to finalize things much sooner than two weeks prior but was reassured by my wedding planner and Alexander Events that it wasn't necessary.
In the end we ended up having to push our wedding start time back by about 45 mins which was less than ideal as it confused a lot of guests and as a result we had people just standing around our wedding venue "waiting" for things to start. Fortunately at the end of the night they stalled breakdown a bit so that the reception could go a little longer and we were thankful for that.
Last thing, I'd mention is the "included wedding cake" by Party Cakes by Shawn - do yourself a favor and just go elsewhere, we were never able to get in touch with her after trying multiple times. The caterer credited us an amount that was not nearly enough to actually purchase an alternate wedding cake so there's that. Hope this helps!

The actual food was good and the head chef and the person managing the wedding was wonderful however Felix is very difficult to work with. Initially he told us it was one price 59.95 per person and then one month before the wedding he jumped it up to 64.95 per person. He said it was because of the venue which he didn't account for at the beginning.
However I had the venue picked before the caterer because we went with a list of caterer that the Pavilion liked working with. The Pavilion was disappointed and said Felix was lying about the up charge. They also ran out of Miller Lite two hours into the wedding but it was open bar that we were paying for and it states, in the contract. Also when I needed a floor plan I had asked Felix to help draft me up one because when we were talking additionally he said he had done it many many times and at the end game he drafted up some shabby piece of paper that wasn't acceptable after he got his money he lost all interest and could care less so we were stuck with what we had.
Also it is very difficult to email him back and forth I had emailed him to please change one of the wine selections early on he never got back to me and then he had difficulty changing it when I asked a week prior he acted as if it was so difficult to just change from Pinot Grigio to Chardonnay. Again the food was great everybody raved about it and the person that was in charge that night was fantastic he even made a plate for me and my husband and he was very attentive. But the up charge really and the dishonesty just really put a bad taste in your mouth
