Candy Haven is a locally-owned, family business that has been operating for over 37 years. We are an all occasion custom cake shop. Our cakes are fresh, never frozen and beautifully decorated. We take pride in creating a cake for every special occasion in your life. Jane Boyle first opened Candy Haven in 1983 in a small shop. Since then, she's expanded her cozy shop to better meet the love that our customers have given us. Our cakes have earned numerous awards throughout the past 37 years, thanks to the wonderful Denton community that has spread our name outside of our hometown.

Services
Please keep in mind that we do not set up wedding cakes outside - they've very sensitive to Texas weather! You'll have a full hour to try our most popular flavors, talk with our wedding consultant, and design your cake. If you have a picture of a cake or color swatch you'd like us to reference, please bring it with you.
Our double layer cakes are 4 tall, leaving plenty of decorating space on the sides, and just enough on top for a simple message. We'll fill the space between the layers with the same icing used on the outside of the cake. This refers to coloring the entire cake - writing is no additional charge unless color needs to match a swatch.
Candy Haven blew me away from our initial cake tasting to our wedding day. They provided us with so many different cakes and fillings to try for our wedding and groom's cake. We had a four tier traditional buttercream wedding cake and an Oklahoma State University groom spice cake. When my husband and I cut the cake we were in awe with how amazing the cake was. You have to book them! Thank you for making our dream wedding come true!
We're located next to the Fort Worth Drive / I35E intersection, just off the service road. If you're on the highway headed in either direction, take the Fort Worth Drive exit, and look for our sign and big red building! A cake layer is roughly two inches tall. A double-layer cake has two layers of the same diameter stacked together, with either icing or filling in between to hold them together.

I've been going to candy haven ever since I was a little girl. They used to be a full felged candy store right on the shelves now housing jelly beans and m&ms. From all my birthdays, to my custom wedding cake and most recently my son's beautiful first birthday cake, they are my go to. Candy Haven is a Denton staple and simply just the best. I wish I could give them more stars. The kolaches are also exceptional and the donuts are sooo good.

I have been purchasing cakes at Candy Haven since 2008. David is amazing and made several cakes that were stellar. Recently I have ordered two cakes which were less than satisfactory. The last on the icing fell off the side upon arriving home. My drive is not far and I did nothing different. They also said they had to use an edible image and could not pipe a cat face on a cake-fine.
This last cake I made simple due to the fact the last cake was an issue to decorate. Upon arrival it had bubbles, again fine. It was also misspelled. then to "fix" it they piped an a OVER the misspelled word. It is not the same green. Pretty sad and this was the last chance in my book. Unless you can confirm David is doing the cakes, you should pass.

I ordered a German Chocolate Cake for my mother's birthday and she absolutely loved it! Said it was delicious and fresh and the best thing she ever had. ****EDIT: called the bakery today because I just couldn't understand how this could happen because I've had great cakes from here. The manager was amazing and said what I knew to be true they stand by their cakes and offered to make it right! Thanks so much Candy Haven! Not worth $80! I had hoped for a really good cake from here and I never really find anything wrong with cake.
I mean it's CAKE. However this cake was dry. The icing was really dry and crusty. For a special order I expected a nice fresh cake but this tasted old as if it had sat out for days. I also requested flowers to cover the top and as you can see it's not. This was an 8 cake double layer and not good. I wish it was but I am seriously disappointed.

I cannot recommend Candy Haven enough! From the day we went into the shop through our wedding day, they were kind and delivered such personable service. Plus their treats are delicious! We ended up doing a dessert table with cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries, and they were all equally delicious!

Candy Haven is the absolute best in DFW! Our wedding cake turned out exactly as we hoped. Jane and her team really took the time to make sure we had the perfect cake. Their cakes are so flavorful and moist- you will fall in love after the first bite. The amaretto flavor at Candy Haven is the best I've ever had!

I am so thrilled that Candy Haven agreed to make my wedding cake and grooms cake. Along with some delicious chocolate covered strawberries. They are simply the best! It was absolutely beautiful and. scrumptious. All of the guests raved about it. Thank you again Stephanie for agreeing to help us out.
