This business is wonderful! My boyfriend was out to sea but had a beautiful arrangement sent to me for Valentine's Day this past Monday. The arrangement itself was pretty, but the quality of the flowers weren't all great- some were bent over and shedding. I was just happy to have flowers, the thought was what counted. I received an email to do a review and just very briefly said it was a nice arrangement just wished the flowers themselves were in better shape.
I didn't complain or make it sound like I was upset, but next thing I know I had a missed call and a voicemail from the flower shop, not only apologizing, but offering to remake the arrangement and have it sent out the next day. I was completely taken back in the best way possible. The new flowers were just delivered and I'm so appreciative. That is some amazing customer service! There are many amazing florists but this is a business that stands behind their work! Thank you to everyone at the Flower Lady in VB

I received flowers the day before my vacation, I didn't want them to sit at home, so they went with. Little did I know they'd make it two weeks. Yes two weeks! That's 3 states, driving with windows open, and back home and still going. What an impressive florist. We will definitely use them from now on. Bravo

I absolutely loved everything about my order with this company. I live out of town from my mom and ordered flowers to be delivered to her. The bouquet was beautiful. I also added the locally made chocolates and they were amazing, she says. It was super easy to place my order over the phone. I highly recommend this business and I will be calling them again for my flower and chocolate needs.

So my daughter is 3000 miles away in Chesapeake Virginia, and due to covid I couldn't be there to see my first grandchild be born. My daughter is in an unhealthy relationship with her boyfriend and his mother. They made her pregnancy a nightmare. I wasn't certain if he would send her flowers so I thought that I would. Flying blind I googled florists.
I absolutely refuse to use a tele service ever again after receiving the most horrible arrangement ever and I thought they were beautiful until my friend showed me a picture of what she ordered and what she paid for after she complained to the website they dispatched to another florist and had another arrangement sent which was incredible. So I'm really reluctant to use a website for long distance delivery So I stumbled onto The flower Lady and I saw this designer's choice option, but there weren't any photos of what the designer's choice might be.
But the other arrangements are beautiful but I wanted something big and over the top because she just needed something special as she and my grandson. I wrote detailed description of the situation at hand as well as you know it's a boy and my my message and I asked her to please make it special and over the top because of that. Baby was born in the evening so the store was already closed when I logged on and I called at 9:00 a.m. my time and the flowers were already delivered and she said that she made it extra special and sent me a photo.
I didn't ask for a balloon but I signed the card I love you to the Moon and back and she said we have one of those balloons so I added that to the arrangement. And it was the most beautiful arrangement with the prettiest blooms. And done within hours of them opening and it was already on its way to the hospital. The special care and attention that she gave was just incredible. If you have a need for florist in the Chesapeake Virginia Beach area you cannot go wrong with The flower Lady

I ordered some flowers for my wife while I was out of the area. I am not a flower guy, so I didn't really know what I was looking for. I just gave a description of it being for congratulations and that I wanted it colorful. The lady on the phone was very polite and told me not to worry, she'd already had an idea in mind. I am pretty satisfied with the results. My wife said this arrangement is really big and she loves it. I recommend this shop to anyone wanting a beautiful arrangement made.

I had a corsage that I thought I was ok with. The original corsage came from a different company. The day of the ball I decided that I hated the original corsage. I walked into "The Flower Lady" in Kemp's River shopping plaza without the corsage and told them what happened and what I needed. I asked if we could keep the slap bracelet from the original corsage but build a new one around it?
I was told "yes, go get the corsage" I ran out and came back about 20 mins later with the corsage. The lady designing flowers in the back asked me what I wanted. I was so grateful that she would do this for me last minute--literally.that I gave her free reign. I told her what the dress colors were & she took about 30ish minutes and gave me a BEAUTIFUL corsage.
This was my son's very formal with a date and he's 15 so I wanted everything to be perfect. I'm so grateful for this company and will use them for all of my flower needs from now on--so should you, trust me!

I came in on a Saturday morning looking to speak with someone for a few floral arrangements for my wedding. I was asked to come back on Monday because the person who in is in charge of floral arrangements was not there. I return on Monday morning and as soon as I walk in I see a woman in the back, who looks almost annoyed that I am walking in. She does not come from the back where she is working and greets me from afar asking what she can help me with.
I let her know I was looking for a few arrangements for my wedding (not a huge order at all) and she tells me it's not a good time to do a consultation because she is busy, but asks what day my wedding is. I tell her and she starts giving me reasons why it may not be feasible to fill my order, asking me when Easter was because it might be too close to the holiday.
All the while she keeps repeating that she's busy and doesn't have time. At this point, I am completely turned off by the poor customer service and ask her if she just wants me to come back (knowing I have no intention of coming back). She asks me to return later on in the afternoon. I have no desire to give a place business that doesn't seem interested in treating me like they want my business. The last thing I need is for a vendor to make it feel like a burden in providing services to one of the important days of my life.

I am a new costumer for life. Yesterday, I found out a dear friend passed away over the weekend. Her funeral is today. I stopped here, because it's very close to my house and is a small local business. The owners saw that I was upset, and offered to make an arrangement out of these two beautiful sunflowers. But, I declined because I would be laying these to rest with friend.
I went to pay for them, and they refused to take my payment. I will never go anywhere else when I need flowers. Their are truly wonderful people in this world. Thank you Flower Lady!

Bonnie is a master at her craft. She's the family florist (never thought I'd write that, but it's true). Any major event, we all go to Bonnie to do our arrangements. She did my wedding, my sister's wedding, and every event in between. Not only is the flower selection and the pricing spot on, there's something to be said in service nowadays - remembers my name, asks how my son is doing, etc. Those are reasons to go back. I'm not very happy with this place. My sister ordered flowers for a funeral and I was tasked to pick them up and deliver them to the wife of our deceased friend. This friend is someone whom my sister and I have known since we were kids, and for us it was important to provide even the smallest amount of respect for someone who passed suddenly and unexpectedly. Nina called and informed the lady taking our order what the flowers were for and informed her I'd pick it up.
I was at work all day and knew I'd have to leave early to pick up the flowers and then head straight to the memorial service. To confirm I'd be able to stop in, the lady told Nina she was open until 6pm. Perfect - I'll leave work early at 5pm, pick up the flowers, then head to the memorial which began at 6pm. And if something were to come up, Nina gave the flower lady my cell phone number. win-win.
As I had planned, I left work at 5 and went straight to Flower Lady. I arrived at 5:23pm and see the lights are off. I'm already thinking the worst but decide to park and pull on the door, just in case they were just waiting for me before they closed (Hampton Roads was preparing for a blizzard, but snow wasn't going to start until later in the evening, overnight). Nope, door was locked and no one was inside.
They were closed for the day. Ironically, boldly posted on their door are their hours of operation, and sure enough it displayed that they close at 6p. So they closed early, they never called to inform me of their decision, and I'm without flowers. Talk about getting shafted. I went to the memorial service, paid my respects and temporarily put this behind me.
But as I write this I can't help but be upset considering the circumstances. Flower Lady let Nina and I down. We spent good money on them and have nothing to show for it. And what's worse, a phone call could've changed everything, or they simply COULD'VE STAYED OPEN UNTIL THEIR POSTED CLOSE TIME. Then I wouldn't have felt slighted, in addition to the sadness I feel having lost a friend. Thanks for nothing, Flower Lady. I'll make sure to never recommend you. JV

We commissioned the Flower Lady to do our company flowers which were sent to our employees in Virginia Beach. They did an amazing job and after reviewing all the flowers we unanimously agreed the ones done by the Flower Lady were the best. They were delivered on time and were breathtaking. Along with their friendly attitude, we will definitely be using Flower Lady again!

Thought I'd stop in to check out the selection of flowers. Looking for some unique flowers to photograph for my studio portfolio. I settled on some handsome lavender Dutch Iris's. The older woman that helped me was very helpful and gave me some useful tips to keep them from blooming to fast.basically keep them in a cool place like the refrigerator. Hmmmm okay I will try it out.
