Both my fiance and I were looking for wedding dresses back in early 2021. Prior to our day we both agreed we were only looking and not purchasing a dress at that time since it was our first day out. We visited a few other establishments before arriving at Bride and Veil, but we felt kind of rushed and not as comfortable at the other stores. Both my fiance and I had very little idea of the dresses we wanted.

She wanted a high neck and I wanted something with two straps. Our consultant at Bride and Veil, Carmen, ran with that information and pulled us a bunch of dresses meeting our ideas while also giving us options since we needed some direction. Carmen was very open to our feedback and wanted to ensure that we found the perfect wedding dresses. Little did we know we were both going to find THE wedding dress that day at Bride and Veil.

My fiance and I both said yes to the dress that day even though we were only supposed to be browsing! What we thought might be a kind of stressful task ended up being very easy, fun and within our budget. We did get our dresses altered here as well. Anna, our seamstress, was very good. We liked the dresses before alterations, but once Anna pinned it in all the right places they looked even better altered to our shape!

She was quick because she is skilled, but she also took her time and cared. She even took the time to explain some wedding dress tips and tricks to us to ensure things went a little bit more smoothly on our wedding day. We were so happy to work with Carmen and Anna because they made our wedding dress shopping perfect. We can't wait to wear our dresses this month! Overall, the entire experience was very easy and comfortable. We highly recommend Bride and Veil.

Would give no stars after the unprofessional email I received. Online I made one appointment for Sunday. Then made another appointment for Monday. Their system kept rescheduling my Sunday appointment for Monday. So I canceled it. And made a new appointment for Sunday. Then that's when they sent the email. I've been to this place in person with no appointment made, and the girl who helped us had lack of knowledge of everything and kept asking questions to her coworkers.

Completely dissatisfied with the mess this place is. As part of a recent bridal party, we purchased our bridesmaid dresses at the store. Dress fitting went well but things went downhill after that. Our dresses were supposed to arrive in mid-February and while we understand the delays, receiving different information every time we reached out was extremely frustrating.

The bride was asked to reach them via text, her messages when unanswered. The bridesmaids called & received conflicting information. I hope the owners & management can work to find a solution to their many communication problems. We are sharing our awful experience and making sure to warn people we know about the bad customer service. Be careful!

Sal made my bridal fitting experience exceptional! He picked up on all the ques on what I wanted to help me find my dream dress! I would highly recommend going here, their inventory was larger and more diverse than any other shop I went to. (AND I WENT TO A LOT OF THEM!) In my opinion you would miss finding your dream dress if you went anywhere else!

I love coming here. Everyone was a big help in my recent visit to this place. Carmen was a big help, she was able to show me the big selection of dresses they have. They made my bridal experience just perfect. If I could give these guys a better rating, I would. Ive already referred them to someone I know who's getting married soon.

I bought my wedding dress here, and the experience was perfect. Everything went just as I had hoped. When I came in for my appointment, I didn't have to wait long. The small alterations that were needed for my dress were done without any issues. I was very impressed with how everything went.

Came here as a bridesmaid. Our stylist Lauren immediately greeted our bride with an upbeat attitude and was very helpful! We were made to feel like a priority our entire session and she was very attentive to our bride's every desire (likes and dislikes, etc.) with a large variety of dresses we found THE one! for our beautiful bride. Sal was so helpful with our bride's veil, and the seamstress Mojan was able to fit the bride into the schedule even on very short notice (Same day even.

On a Saturday no less!) Best service we have received in all the bridal shops we have gone too in San Diego by far! Thank you Bridal and Veil I will be recommending this to everyone I know!

This is the best service that we (bridal party) have had out of the four places we went to in San Diego! The stylist Lauren did everything right; asked the bride what she was looking for, gave different descriptions and options, listened completely to what the bride liked and didn't like, worked with her schedule and budget (including alteration costs), and made the whole event far less stressful.

The bride said yes to the dress on her first visit. The seamstress happened to be available on the same day. I really appreciate the quality of service that this shop provided. It took so much weight off of the bride's shoulders to have a stylist that was so cooperative and pleasant. The shop itself is clean and organized. Every bride to be that came in had plenty of space between their parties.

The dresses were well kept and clean (we visited one where that wasn't the case.) Nothing bad to say about this shop - literally. Bride picked a dress, vail, and found shoes the same height as hers for the seamstress to hem to the right height.

They have beautiful dresses, and everyone who works here is wonderful. I went to several different places before I came here, and found exactly what I wanted. Pricing was reasonable, and the service was a 10. If I could give them a better rating, I would.

Both Carmen and Sal were a big help in my handful of visits to this location. I just LOVE how everything turned out and how the dress looks. When I came in for my scheduled appointment, they were able to help right away. They have such a huge selection of dresses, it can be a bit overwhelming but in a positive way. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Everyone here was so helpful and friendly. I had Carmen as my consultant and she was AMAZING. She gave me the most appreciated and much needed pep talk during my appointment. She helped me say "Yes to the dress" and I can't wait to go back and see her at my fitting. 100% recommend!

I feel they went above and beyond to make my dream wedding come true. The designers were there to answer all of my questions. I tried on several dresses. Throughout all this, I never felt like I was being pressured into making a decision. The staff was very friendly and made this experience enjoyable.

I am glad I visited this beautiful salon. Farhina was my consultant, she was extremely patient. My experience with her was incredible. I said yes to my dress I can not wait for the day. Thank you Farhina. I give my highest recommendations to visit her amazing salon.

This beautiful little shop caught our eye while out looking for a wedding dress for my daughter. We took a chance on doing a walk in and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They listened to my daughters needs and our attendant waited on her hand and foot. The owner, who is a lovely gentleman, went out of his way to find the perfect dress looking on every rack for her dream dress.

We never felt rushed and when we finally found the perfect one they were just as excited as us. We could not have asked for a more positive experience. Their selection is also amazing, if you haven't found the perfect dress yet it's because you haven't visited this place!

What an amazing hidden gem! Lauren was so helpful she helped my future Sister in law find the perfect dress. Sal the owner was so friendly, and knowledgeable. They have an incredible selection and gorgeous show room. Make a stop here you won't be disappointed!

I tried a few different dresses, and went with Bridal and Veil. They were more involved when it came to helping me find what was right. Sal, and Farhina were extremely helpful. Everyone was very nice. I looked beautiful on my wedding day because of everything they've done. A+ service.

I really wish I had went thru somewhere else. They make it so difficult for me. At first they kept delaying the delivery for 3 month and they don't call you! They wait for you to call them. Then charge me almost $700 just for alterations! They don't call you for a reminder to come in and try your dress on. And when you actually have to time to gather up your wedding party, they are under staffed to let me try on my dress. Stop being cheap and hire more people. I'm so stressed and irritated of this place! I getting married in 3 months and haven't tried my dress on once!

My review starts with my appointment. I made an appointment in July for my wedding dress, mob and 2 bridesmaid. I was disappointed that once I chose a dress, I was told that the $100 discount that they offer was not going to be honored and then they supposedly had no time for my bridesmaids and mom. Last weekend I went to pick up my dress and check if alterations were needed. Again, I had made an appointment via text.

When I arrived, the store representative told me that they didn't have my appointment written down. I was then told that the seamstress was not present bc she does not work on Sundays. I let the store know I was unsatisfied and upset, but I still wanted to try on the dress. Once the dress was taken out of the bag, it was completely wrinkled. It was awful.

I was then told that that's how it gets turned over to clients unless we use their seamstress for alterations. I appreciated the phone call from the owner the following day to apologize; however, what was done was done.

I was nervous to go dress shopping and had no clue what kind of dress I wanted. Daiijah made me feel comfortable, listened and is the reason I found my dream dress. I cannot thank her enough for being part of my happily ever after.

I had THE BEST possible experience at this place! My plan was just to go and see and I found the perfect dress after trying only 4! They have 1500 dresses so I can guarantee you will find THE ONE! Gabbie understood and helped me to make the experience even more pleasurable. On the othe hand, Sal and his wife know their business and give each bride the best advice! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR BEING PART OR THIS INCREIBLE MOMENT!

Honestly so glad I found this place. I was on a time crunch & they managed to helped me find the dress of my dreams. & when we had a minor dress mishap, they handled the fix with grace & care. Great prices, staff that became friends, & now I'll have memories that will last a lifetime.

From the moment I walked in I experienced nothing but amazing customer service. Found the perfect dress and now just went in to have it preserved. I would highly recommend this bridal shop.

I went there for alterations twice. First time was good. Last time was another woman and The alteration of my wedding dress were horrible! Every stitch was exposed like it's 5 year old did it. I don't think they care at all. Amd for the job to alternate sleeves charged me 200$! They supposed to put a pin inside to make fabric sticking out less but instead they sew one material to each other w a thread that doesn't even match the color including sleeves. Dress was white off and they use bright white thread. If u don't want ur dress be ruined don't go there.

If you need to find a wedding dress I highly recommend this place! I came into the shop on a whim with 2 friends and no appointment " just to look." It was the first and only shop I ended up going to! One thing to note is that you aren't allowed to look at the racks yourself and find something to try. Instead you explain your style and budget then they'll bring dresses to you in the fitting room.

Maybe that's just a precaution with Covid but I would've liked a little more freedom looking at the dresses first. With that being said my consultant Caryn did an amazing job and found a dress almost identical to the reference photo I showed her! It was on clearance due to some tears in sheer mesh on the button-up back of the dress but thankfully the seamstress was able to cover all the tears with new lace that matched the original lace of the dress almost perfectly.

The alterations were quick and I was able to pick up my dress just a week after my first fitting. All of the staff we talked to were friendly and inviting and they have a ton of beautiful styles for any bride.

Trying on and ordering the dress went fine, four stars for that. But the alterations were a nightmare. It was nearly $800 and they ruined the hem of my dress before (mostly) repairing it, using fabric they took out of my train, 3 days before my wedding. They didn't offer a partial refund or anything. Do NOT get your alterations done here.

This is a SCAM! I had bad experience with them especially with the owner. Ti made a reservation for a dress and after days of searching I finally found a dress for me at another shop. When I ask for my refund they told me that they cannot longer give me my refund for it is only good for 48hours. Nobody told us that the refund is only good for 48hours and JERICHO the lady that helped me fit some of the dresses told me that we can get our refund anytime. ANYTIME! what is ANYTIME compared to 48 hours? They should've told us! But NO! This should be out of business! Don't go to this bridal store if you don't wanna get scammed!

Honestly I probably would have bought a dress from here but the customer service was so bad that it made me not want to give them my money. No music and the employees were rude. But I don't blame them. I think they need to be treated better as an establishment. The woman I made an appointment with hadn't had time to eat lunch and it was almost 5pm.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ordered my dress and received no communication whatsoever afterwards. If I had not continually reached out to them on my own -I very highly doubt I would have even got it in time for my wedding. They had to have it overnighted and I got it one week before my wedding, it was also about 6in too long, so I had to rush and stress and find a seamstress who would and could do a MAJOR alteration in 5 days And ya know add anther $600 to the cost of the dress, to pick it up one day before my wedding. - really!? ( I did NOT trust them to do alteration ) Stressful and costly.

Plenty of bridal shops in San Diego why go here? No need to take the risk of having this experience. My dress was the MOST important thing for me and my wedding and it turned into the most stressful.

I loved dress shopping at Bridal & Veil! I had been to three other wedding dress shops before I came here and found my wedding dress for $1,500, which fit perfectly in my budget. I emailed with the shop prior to my appointment and they assured me they would have dresses in the style I was looking for. Everyone was wearing a mask and the store is spacious, so we always felt comfortable.

My stylist was Carmen, who was friendly and helped me find my perfect dress after I explained what I wanted. I tried on four other dresses and they were all beautiful. Pictures are of the ones I didn't choose. I ordered my dress in September of 2020 and it arrived in March of 2021. My wedding isn't until January 2022, but I ordered my dress super early because I wanted to be sure it arrived with plenty of time what with delays from the ongoing global pandemic.

I received a text from the shop letting me know when it had arrived and they said they could hold it for me until I was ready to pick it up. I got to go into the shop and try it on a few days ago! It was so fun to see it after a year of finalizing all my other wedding details. I won't be back for my first fitting until November, but I am so excited our wedding is coming up and grateful for this wonderful experience!

I got my engagement dress and wedding dress, my mom also found mother of the bride dress. They have beautiful dresses all year round. They were super supportive of me because of the pandemic I postponed my wedding several times. I also did the alterations here. I am still in love with my dress. Thank you so much to the staff here super professional and friendly.

This was the first and only bridal dress store I went to and it was an awesome experience! Everyone was really sweet and helpful. I found my dress after trying on just 3 dresses! All thanks to the owner of the store! He knew exactly what I was looking for and thank goodness they had my perfect dress! Highly recommend every future bride visits this store first!

Jericho was so amazing and made my bridal experience one of a kind. She went above and beyond to help me find the most beautiful dress! She was knowledgeable, attentive, and so kind! I'm so grateful to her for giving me a one of a kind experience and helping me find my dress!

I used to be a member of Chuze before the Pandemic and would walk by The Bride and Veil. They always had something in the window that was beautiful! Now that I am getting married I went in for myself. Carmen greeted me and questioned what styles I liked and asked for pictures of my inspiration. Then she went off to pick dresses. She found me a dress that blew my mind!

I put it on and knew right away it was the one. I had a total Say Yes to The Dress moment! As the veil went on I started crying and then my mom cried and we were done. Carmen made it happen and she wasn't afraid to be honest with me and tell me what was up. I'm soooo excited for my dress! Thank you

Coming here was the biggest mistake I have made in my life. The first time I went there, I was I amazing hands! But after that, when I was buying my dress, he was not there. The ladies were quite insulting toward him. Nevertheless I ordered my dress here. Baaaaaaad odea.

This boutique makes you feel like family. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and did a great a wonderful job assisting me through the entire bridal dress experience. So many wonderful dresses to choose from, endless styles for every bride. The owners Sal & Farhina were especially wonderful. I'm actually sad my wedding is over and I don't get to visit this amazing boutique for fittings & alterations.

My daughter said Yes to the dress! Kylie was amazing and so sweet and Patient with us. Kylie did a fabulous job really listening to what we loved and didn't love she definitely made dress shopping so easy and Special. Thank You again and can't wait to make our appointment for Bridesmaids dresses!

The staff there (Kylie, Carmen, and Raul) are kind, professional, and really pay attention to the questions you have. They included my mama in conversations and that meant the world to me. I'm very particular about what I want and I found it here at Bridal and Veil. I called several boutiques to find the "one" dress I wanted and they have it so I bought it! I'm a very fashion forward kind of gal coming from the beauty and dance industry.and I have an eye for fashion which means they do since I found the dress there! Also, I feel they are genuinely making sure you are happy (as opposed to making a sale) so they deserve the business! It's important to have a great fond memory of the people who assisted in making you happy for the most spectacular day of your life - your wedding day!

Love the staff here! Carmen is amazing at her job! Every dress Carmen pulled for me I loved, she did not even need to know my size. She definitely knows what she is doing! Bought my dress during covid they were very safe and respected city regulations. I had an appointment with Kylie, she listened to what I was looking for and delivered. She was professional, friendly, but most importantly patient. You come in and try a bunch of beautiful dresses it's hard to pick one, She never made me feel like I was Trying on too many dresses or that I had to buy one right there and then, I left my first appointment empty handed but with the intention of a second appointment. Purchasing a wedding dress is a hard decision so I wanted to see other options try on more dresses and most importantly other stores.

When I told Kylie she was very supportive and understanding of how big of a deal it is to purchase the right dress. I did go to another store but left extremely disappointed as they didn't respect my budget and were uncomfortably pushy. They wanted me to buy a dress after I told them I wanted my sisters and mom present. It only made me uncomfortable and overwhelmed.

I came back to Bridal and Veil they greeted me with my favorites from the last visit and new dresses similar to what I liked las time. I left that appointment after happily saying yes to dress thanks to Kylie!

I LOVE THIS STORE! I love so much more than just the store tho! My entire experience from start to finish far surpassed what I had always hoped for in the search of the most important dress I would ever wear! When I first called for info, they allowed me to come right on in, and were so accommodating and welcoming! The relationship with the staff is what made me know this is where I wanted and knew I would find my dress! NEVER ONCE did I feel pressured to buy anything, or even feel like I was an inconvenience/annoyance for asking to try on one. more. dress.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this entire experience was, and this store will always stand out in my bridal memories of being one of my favorite experiences! I had a horrible experience at Bridal and Veil. Basically, if you are a woman who wears "Women's sizes" (anything above a size 8), Please don't waste your time! There were two particular dresses I was coming to try on (Maggie Sottero - Eve Marie and allure 9603) and was willing to try on others in the similar styles/shapes. I am a size 13 and the shop apparently only buys one size of each style with 8 being the largest size?

I put a question mark because they only put me in one actual dress and then held up the other dresses I really wanted to try on to my body! This isn't my first wedding - all stores I have ever been to always have bigger sized gowns and clip dresses closed. Perhaps you all should consider how to better accommodate brides of all sizes and stop referring to 2 digit sizes as "women's sizes" - made me feel like I was in a child's bride shop! Anyways, the main thing that happened and I won't go into too much detail, but instead of finding me dresses similar in style/shape to the actual dresses I was hoping to try on, I was squeezed into a size 8 gown, and what do you know, I got stuck! Stuck to the point that two attendants had to come in and pull the dress off of me!

Why not tell me this dress is not going to fit and immediately put me in other dresses that I will fit into? Or if you don't have dresses to accommodate plus sizes then that really needs to be mentioned on the website! Luckily, there is another bridal shop down the street that restored my faith in wedding dress shopping. They didn't have the simple style I was looking for but they put me in dresses with the same shape - this is all that needed to happen at Bridal and Veil for me to leave happy! I am not a stylist but catering to a bride does not seem like rocket science. I came in so excited to try on gowns and left the shop feeing fat and ashamed of my body!
