J Major's Bridal Boutique

I had the most magical experience at J. Majors! Not only are the dresses incredible but the whole J. Majors crew is just fabulous! The ladies truly made my experience and every single appointment unforgettable. I got my dream dress and veil from here and could not recommend this boutique enough!

I went to 3 stores before J. Major's and Madigon was my favorite stylist by far! She was so enthusiastic, never made me feel pressured to like a dress, nor rushed me (even though I was her last appointment for the day). She also clipped and shaped the dress the best out of all the other stylist I've had which is so important in seeing the dress as close to what it would look like.

The boutique didn't have tons and tons of dresses which is nice if you get overwhelmed with too many options. The staff as a whole were so friendly; Cannot recommend coming here enough!

My experience at J. Major's was a 10/10. Emily was the sweetest! She was helpful at listening to what I like & what I didn't, and helped me find the most PERFECT dress (not pictured). Only the second bridal boutique we went to that day, and I am so lucky we went. If you are looking for a dress, this place is it!

Went today with my future sister in law! The boutique is beautiful! The staff is so kind and Lauren was so wonderful! She was patient and so helpful. We were offered mimosas or champagne upon arrival and they validated our parking. The dresses are gorgeous! Had a great morning!

The employees at J Major were so helpful and patient all throughout our appointment. The diversity of dresses they have are perfect for those brides that are having trouble figuring out which silhouette type would be best. Not only did we find the perfect dress, but the accessories they had available were just what we were looking for. If you're wedding dress shopping, you should definitely stop by J Major's!

I visited a few bridal shops in Charlotte, but J Majors has one of the most enjoyable and knowledgeable bridal shops out of all that I went to in the area. They have a very upbeat/hands on environment, and really help you find the dress of your dreams. They have a little bit of every dress style, and their stylists are amazing. I would 100% recommend if you are in the Charlotte area! Kaylyn and Nicole are the sweetest and will make sure you leave with exactly what you are looking for for your big day!

Bought my dress at J Majors and could never be happier! All the ladies are so kind and helpful. I immediately felt so welcomed by the employees and they were so determined to help me find my dream dress. They listened to what I really wanted and brought my vision to life! I cannot give this boutique a high enough rating! I was so anxious going into this boutique, as I had already been wedding dress shopping once before at a different bridal store (it was a horrible, and stressful experience) BUT this place--THIS place made my wedding dress shopping experience better than I could have ever imagined. All the girls there are great and make you feel so beautiful.

They make you feel like royalty, and even give you mimosas! I specifically had Madigan as my consultant and she 100% made my experience unforgettable. She is so sweet, so patient, and so much fun! I can't wait to see them all again when I come back to pick up MY dress! I can't recommend this boutique enough! Thank y'all for everything!

I was excited to go shopping at a "bridal boutique" for my wedding dress last year, but they didn't have anything over a size 12. Dress sizes are always different than street sizes, but they literally had one dress in a size 14. They only cater to small/medium sizes (if that). I thought more bridal stores would be size inclusive around the Charlotte area. Also, the gowns I wanted to look at specifically DO come in sizes 14 and 16, this store just didn't carry them for whatever reason.

Such a great experience at J Major's! *Just FYI this was pre-COVID, so some policies/procedures may have changed!* I scheduled my appointment online ahead of time, and my group of six was happily welcomed when we arrived. I love that they close the shop off during appointments so it truly feels like the staff is there just for you. I was surprised by the number of gorgeous gowns they have, and their staff helped us navigate through the dresses with smiles on their faces.

After multiple dress try-ons at different boutiques, as well as J Major's, I finally found my perfect dress here! However, I wanted to sleep on it before I made such a big decision. I came back to the store on my own a few days later, and the staff was so great at relieving my nerves. I tried on a few more gowns, but ultimately decided to go with my pick from my original visit.

The ladies at J Major made sure I was fitted correctly and took care of all of the ordering details. When the world was about to go into lockdown due to Covid-19 in March 2020, my dress was still at the store. They made sure to call me and make arrangements for my Maid of Honor to pick up the dress that same day. I cannot say enough good things about this boutique and their staff- 5 stars every step of the way!

The ladies at J Majors are so sweet and helpful. I found my dress at J Majors in November 2019 for my October 2020 wedding, which unfortunately was postponed to October 2021 due to the pandemic. J Majors kept my dress safe in their store until I was ready to bring it home in early 2021 - they even squeezed me in on a busy Saturday for a try-on when I finally did pick my dress up (so I could remember what it looked like since it had been so long since I picked it out).

After my wedding, Kaylyn helped me mail my dress out to be preserved. I think the most important part about my experience with J Majors was that they never once commented on my body size or type when I was trying on dresses. I had gone to another bridal boutique in Charlotte and the stylist kept commenting on how skinny the dresses made me look, or dramatically pinning me in the dresses to imply that the samples didn't fit me - which made me really uncomfortable. J Majors kept my body size and shape out of the conversation when I was trying on dresses and I really appreciated that. I would recommend J Majors to all of my friends.

Thank you to J. Major's (& consultant Sarah Kate) for going above and beyond for not only myself but also my family. Sarah Kate was the sweetest & I felt like we had been friends for forever-- she could not have been a better fit to help me find the dress of my dreams! I have nothing but the best to say about this bridal boutique and I appreciate y'all staying open late for me to "say yes to the dress!" We appreciated all of her attention to detail, patience and the best, most personalized service!

I couldn't imagine a more intimate setting (Friday evening, last appointment of the day). They even stayed open well past my appointment time, as they knew I drove 7 hrs one way from Virginia Beach to try on their Jenny Yoo dresses. 11/10 service, you won't regret going here to find your dream dress! #jmajorsbride

I had such a fantastic experience and found THE dress at J Majors. They gave thoughtful and honest opinions while providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The atmosphere and lighting was spot on. My favorite small touche? Pink sparkle champagne that shimmered! When I was down to two gowns they were promptly hung up for me to easily view and I was given the time and space to make a decision- absolutely no pressure! Ladies if you are looking for a great experience with a wonderful selection of gowns this is it!

Nicole was so helpful to me during my visit. She helped me into all of the gowns I tried and gave her honest opinion. She also took some pics of the gowns I liked. The shop is bright and the dressing areas are very comfy. The dress selection is extensive. I highly recommend J Major's to the next bride to be. They will take good care of you.

J Major's is an excellent locally-owned, female-owned business with beautiful gowns and excellent customer service. I had a consistently wonderful experience working with Nicole (owner) and Kaylyn, who were warm, knowledgable and well-organized. They were around to help me get in and out of dresses and answer questions, but also managed to step back at times so that I could enjoy the experience with my guests.

I was looking for a lacy bohemian dress and was pleased to find a great selection in the store, but noted they had a wide variety of other styles including clean white gowns, sparkly dresses, and ballgowns. This is a must-stop for wedding-dress shopping in Charlotte.

What a beautiful boutique! We went to buy my daughters wedding gown and walking in to JMajors was such a delight. The owners made us feel so special and safe during this difficult time. A memory we will never forget! Highly recommend!

Nicole and Kaylyn were amazing! After having shopped earlier in the day at J. Majors, I had returned to take another look at my top 3 dresses. I was from out of town and only in for the weekend. Understanding that I did not know when I would be back, they made time to stay open and accommodate myself and my party. After picking my dream dress, they even put a hold to their personal plans to size me and fully explain the ordering process. Shopping at J. Majors was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for their dream wedding dress!

I love this bridal shop! I went to about 3 in a day and this one was by far the best! I actually found my dress and it's perfect! I would recommend this place to any and everyone!

I cannot sing J Majors praises enough! You can expect a diverse and stunning selection of wedding gowns. Beyond that, and more importantly, the ladies at J Majors have been an absolute delight to work with from day 1. They helped me pick my perfect dress and made me feel special and beautiful every step of the way. When buyers remorse kicked in months after I ordered my dress, they graciously invited me back to the salon to try the dress on again for peace of mind.

They accommodated me coming into the salon multiple times to try my dress on, try accessories, etc. and were lovely and delightful every step of the way. My dress didn't fit when it came in and they went so far above and beyond what was expected to relieve all of the stress off of my shoulders. Rachel, Nicole, and the owner's of the boutique are in this business to take care of their clients and help them be their most happy and beautiful selves on their wedding day! Their care and professionalism was beyond what I ever could have expected. Thank you, thank you, thank you, J Majors!

Pretty dresses, but not the right place if you're bigger than size six. Coordinated a try on day for my bff getting married and she ended up crying in the dressing room because she felt fat because none of the dresses would even fit to try on. She may be a 10 or 12 but nothing large at all. I just hated her time was clouded because women of all sizes are not accommodated here. at least for trying things on.

J Major's is a beautiful bridal boutique that does an excellent job making the bride feel so special! I went to J Major's with my mom and two of my bridesmaids. First you meet with the consultant, mine was Rachel and she was amazing, and she gives you little tags to tag any dresses you like in their showroom. The boutique had a good assortment of dresses in different price ranges and designs.

Once you select an initial group of dresses, you go back to your area which includes a fitting room and a couch for your entourage. After I tried on all the initial dresses Rachel also brought back a few more for me to try. While I didn't find my dress at J Major's, I would highly suggest it to any bride as their service was wonderful and their dresses beautiful.

I had a great experience at J Major's. I bought my dress on a sample sale and loved it. It was the second dress I tried on and couldn't believe I found something so fast! When it came time to purchase a veil they super flexible in allowing me to take a few home to try on with my dress to make sure I found the perfect one. I would definitely recommend them to any future brides!

J Majors offers an amazing wedding dress shopping experience! When you arrive they have you fill out a little information card about yourself, the wedding, budget, etc. and then they give you a tour of the store while explaining the different designers that they carry. They give you tags and let you tag all the dresses you want to try on. Which was great- I didn't have to hold onto a bunch of dresses or keep running back and forth to the dressing room.

They also have the cutest "bride" robe in the fitting room to wear in between dresses! Nicole was my consultant and she was the sweetest thing. So lovely to shop with! She laid out all my dresses and got them ready to me to put on. She waited outside my fitting room in case I needed any assistance getting them on. As soon as I got my first dress on she had a mimosa waiting for me!

She also got everyone else who was with me drinks as well! The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is because the selection is very very small. It's a cute shop but I only tried on 2 dresses and wasn't crazy about either of them. Overall great experience but very disappointed in the selection.

My sister is getting married. This is such an exciting moment in our lives! We just need one more thing. A DRESS! I called the week of to try and get an appointment for the following Saturday and they were booked. The lady on the phone was so sweet and said she would put me on a waitlist. To my surprise she called me with a 10am opening on Saturday!

I was thrilled to tell my sister! We got there a little early and they went ahead and let us in to sit on the couch. We were immediately offered a mimosa or water which was a very nice touch! We both had champagne. Our appointment was with Rachel and she is amazing. We were brought cute little YAY napkins and of course took pictures with them. Rachel took us on a tour of the dresses and gave us these little markers to put on the wedding dress we liked and wanted my sister to try on.

As we were picking out dresses Rachel was putting the ones we marked in our fitting room. She unzipped all of them for us. It was such a nice touch. After we picked out the dresses my sister tried them on and Rachel pinned them to show her what they would look like after being altered. She took photos for us and was so honest, patient, and kind. We were also offered refills on our drinks!

My sister was torn between two beautiful dresses. We left to think about it and ended up making a decision and purchasing the dress that day! My sister was able to purchase it off the rack because her wedding is coming up soon. We were so grateful for the experience and for JR majors making it so special for us!

I went the J Major's twice looking for a wedding dress, once as a walk-in and once by appointment. I did not end up finding "the dress" here so my review is based only off of my shopping experience. I had gotten off of work early one day, so I decided to stop by on my way home from work. As a walk-in at the end of the day, I was surprised at how nice and accommodating the staff was even though they were getting ready to close.

I made a follow-up appointment later and I had a really nice time working with Stephanie. One of the ladies helping me (she may have been the owner) was very knowledgeable about the types of alterations that can be done when ordering the dress. The story was not pushy and my experience was very pleasant.

Super great service. My bridal consultant Heather was a doll, not pushy at all and very knowledgeable about their different designers. She was very helpful in grabbing a couple extra pieces (belts/boleros) to accentuate different gowns. Also love their open photo policy, it was really helpful to share with my out-of-town family who couldn't make it for my appointment. And they have a 10% sale through the end of this month!

The women at this store are really wonderful. My friend and I just got engaged recently and had an appointment here for her on Saturday. The attendants were great at being flexible and helpful, and especially at not making us feel stupid even when we didn't know any of the terminology. I was really impressed when we realized we went over our hour time slot by 30 minutes and nobody even mentioned it to us.

They didn't make us feel rushed or like we were holding them up, which was really classy and very much appreciated. We were also very impressed by the salesmen's ability to figure out what we wanted even when we weren't sure. We picked some dresses and completely skimmed over some others that turned out to actually exactly what my friend wanted. And, in the end when we didn't buy a dress but decided to come back at another date, they were really nice about it and offered to look into some special requests we had about customizing the dress of one designer. I will definitely be coming back for an appointment for myself. They also were sensitive to our price point too.

I just received a call from J Major's informing me my gown has arrived in store (which reminded me I haven't reviewed this place yet)--this delivery date is right in line with what I was told to expect when I placed the order. I can't wait to try on my gown! Anyway, about my initial appointment. I took a Friday off work to start hunting for a wedding dress. J. Major's was my third and final appointment for the day; I had found a couple of contenders at another boutique earlier in the day, but nothing that really wowed me (or my mom).

I truly wasn't expecting to make a purchase that day since I'm a notoriously indecisive shopper. The boutique is absolutely beautiful, and the walls are lined with gorgeous gowns in all kinds of styles and at a wide range of price points (don't forget to check out the back room for some incredible deals). My consultant was incredibly friendly, sweet, and knowledgable, and the overall shopping experience was stellar. J. Majors handled transportation of my gown to and from Anna's Alterations for my fittings, and had it pressed to perfection for my wedding day. I highly recommend them to any brides-to-be in the area!
