Rude desk attendance. In all fairness I wasn't a guest here. There is no Internet to be had in the town of Jenner. I needed to download a map so I could take a hike. I asked kindly for the Wi-Fi password. I was refused. It would've taken two minutes to download a map. I can't imagine why someone would be so uncharitable. As a result, I couldn't take my hike. Not the best ambassador for the town of Jenner.

Super loved our stay here. The gal at the desk was beyond sweet answering all our questions and offering binoculars for our hike. We had a river view in the Mystic building. Our room had a tub and was nicely decorated. We loved that the wine bar was within walking distance. Also a coffee and organic food place right near as well. Second stay and we will be back.

Went kayaking on the Russian River. Flows into the ocean now. To our delight, seals surrounded our kayak, at one point, popping their heads out of the water. We had the most wonderful time!

Loved it! I needed a night of R&R on my own and after having driven by this area on several occasions I knew just where I wanted to be- on this beautiful moody river where it meets the ocean. The Jenner Inn was a perfect escape. But before I go on, as others have complained, let me just say there was a tv, Wi-Fi and I had no trouble using my cell phone in my room by switching to Wi-Fi calling (something I even have to do at home.) But that's not why I was there.

I wanted to fully unplug. I stayed in the Sonoma Room where I had a full view of the river from my bed. I could walk out on the terrace and take it all in even more. At night, with a cracked door, I could hear the waves crash at the inlet and the bird song intermittently with the rain. I had a smoke and odorless fireplace in-room to take out the evening chill, a full-length cast iron tub to stretch out in a bath and actually soak with plenty of hot water, and a microwave and refrigerator to prepare the take out food I picked up on my drive in.

My goal was just to enjoy the quiet and my surroundings without going in for the night and I really did. I spoke with Jonathan on the phone prior to, on arrival and on check out and he's was very warm and friendly. Parking was easy as no one else would have cause to park near the cabin. There is a flight of stairs down to the room but that's to be expected to get the view of hovering over the river.

Just note, these are not new buildings. If they were, they wouldn't have the charm, the view, or the cool old bathroom fixtures (like a real tub!) and most likely not the same price either. Perfect for a romantic getaway but even better as a solo retreat- to truly soak it in! I can't wait to come back!

We stayed in a waterfront room. Everything was great. Continental breakfast is not a continental breakfast though, just a muffin and some fruit in a box. Didn't bother us though, since we were planning on getting breakfast outside anyhow.

Charming inn with a small family operated feel, comprised of several houses along the main strip. Given the different locations, make sure you have a good look at the room description and photos if you want a specific view. We chose the room with a view of the Russian River and it was a beautiful, serene stay. Rooms are a bit small, but comfortable for a couple. Look forward to coming back again!

We usually come here once to twice a year. This time we had some bad experience. The price in rooms went up when we got there. They said they offer continental breakfast but all we got was yogurt, fruit and muffins. There is no way to get a hold of front desk after hours (or even during because they don't open up when they say they are). So we had no way of getting coffee in our room for the next day or even more muffins. The toilet flooded when we were there. Sorry for that. If we had enough toilet paper or could have got a hold of front desk we wouldn't have had to use napkins.

We had to change our dates a few times due to a sudden death and covid. They were so understanding and kind. The room is adorable that we stayed in. So much information given at check in and the breakfast is fresh, yummy and healthy that they give you to go at check definitely will be back.

We stayed in two different rooms, the Milky Way and the Monte Rio. Without a doubt, the Monte Rio was the absolute winner! It was bigger than my own apartment, had FAR MORE privacy and less noice than the Milky Way and was just truly truly perfect. I would come back to Jenner just to spend time in the Monte Rio again. The Milky Way was a nice room but there are NO CURTAINS in the bathroom. Literally, someone goes onto the balcony, they can see you on the bathroom.

Same with kayakers and possibly one of the rooms above you. These pics are of the Monte Rio (cause again, hands down the winner) The staff were all super sweet, the area gorgeous and overall just a great place to unwind.

The Jenner inn was the most amazing place and the reviews do not do it justice so listen to me when I say our room was SO LUXURIOUS, I was shocked! We stayed at the Jenner inn with your fur child Peter in the Milky Way room. The first words out of my husbands mouth were "WOW" when we walked through the door and saw the amazing bathroom, huge deck right on the water looking out to the Russian river meeting the ocean, and the adorable and quaint feel of being in a vintage place while being so upscale!

The inn keepers were so sweet and so accommodating and we loved the almost contactless check in and stay it was so nice feeling safe and secluded while it was a fairly busy weekend in Jenner! I can't say enough about this slice of heaven carved into highway 1. We will be back many times we cannot wait to go back and stay in the Milky Way room again!

Please support this inn! It is beautiful and so much to do if you like paddle boarding, kayaking, beach combing, or hiking! Pet friendly too! Can't beat that! Thanks Jenner inn! You have us for life!

This is a lovely, clean, waterside resort. The breakfast that is usually served at the lodge was replaced (due to COVID) with a "picnic Continental breakfast" presented to you at check in. Yogurt, lots of fruit, crunchy breakfast bars, moist fresh muffins, coffee in the room. It was really truly lovely to have that breakfast on the patio of our room, overlooking the Russian River delta within range to hear the crashing of the waves on the beach. Try booking direct, they seemed like really nice folks, I am sure they will match the app prices.

Had a perfect stay here for my birthday! We stayed in the Grey Whale Room and had everything we needed. If you can plan to be there for sunset, the views are unbelievable. The staff was so nice and made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay and gave us great recommendations. The breakfast was a boxed continental breakfast. It was simple but delicious and plentiful. Can't wait to to come back!

The location was gorgeous; sleeping on the edge of the Russian River was pristine and magical, the stars were brilliant and beautiful, the location was perfect.they are doing some remodeling and improvements on the rooms (especially the Gull Room) and hope that some of the issues we experienced with the old building will be repaired this coming spring.

My room was like a magical wonderland frozen in time. Jenner Inn is the perfect place to unplug, finish a novel, explore, rest, or play. The rooms are spacious and sit where the Russian River meets the Pacific ocean. The patio was spacious and offered panoramic views. The bathtub was divine and could comfortably fit 2 people. The wifi is pretty much nonexistent. No TV either, but there is a country store not far in Monte Rio that offers free books. Overall, I love this place everytime I go up the California coast.

Really disappointed. It's in such a great location, and has such promise but it was only very disappointing. I stayed three nights; the first night was fine, although there is a very annoying moldy smell that permeates the room. The mattress was comfortable and there were plenty of blankets. But.that's it - really nothing else good about the room.

The second night I was there, it sounded like someone was doing remodeling in the room above me from about 11 PM until around 1 AM, which is when I began banging on the ceiling letting them know I was not happy at all with the noise. After I banged on the ceiling about three different times, they finally stopped. It was the worst night's sleep in a hotel I've ever had. Definitely NOT worth the price, and I would not advise staying here. Certainly will never stay at this inn again.

The location must be the only reason this stays open. Restaurant wasn't functioning. Breakfast was given to us in a box. In the morning we opened it up, it was only stored in our room, and it was crawling with ants making most of it inedible. There is no phone service, limited wifi and no TV. For the money, could have slept in our car in greater comfort. I am still swatting ants as I write this. Will be glad to get out.

We spent over $170 for a less-than Motel-6 room. I have pics of the cobwebs in the bathroom - so, no idea when it was cleaned or what else they miss. Almost no electrical outlets available. No fan in bathroom so the whole room steams us when you shower. The bed is not comfortable and the pillows are like empty wallets - we had to stuff towels into the pillowcases!

No heat or air - just a cheap little space heater by the front door. And, have you EVER been in a hotel with no TV -- we'll this is the place for you. Not even a television in the room - and they don't tell you about that until you arrive there. All the shortcomings, not advertised on their site anywhere. You will NOT get what you pay for here. Pass this place up and save yourself a headache. This was the most terrible "stay" we had on our PCH trip all the way to San Diego.

Nice room. Clean. Friendly, helpful staff. The worst I can say about the stay was the comforter was stiff and heavy and should have something softer. Will return.

This was our first time in Jenner and we must say, loved it 100%!. First you are surrounded by great views all over the place, we stayed at the Pelican suite, and could not ask for a better place, just perfect for us, so cozy, amazing views, so quiet!. The place was very clean and it had all the utensils need it, perfect gas fire, kept us warm the whole time. Melanie and Mandy were so welcoming, so nice, they made sure we had everything we need it, since it was a very special occasion, my birthday!, so I must say, I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you guys for this wonderful place, we are definitely coming back!

We booked two nights here recently for my family and I. We were arriving the first day after 6PM which is after their office hours. They could not be more accommodating with the check-in process. They called ahead, gave us great instructions, and warned us that the only restaurant in town would be closed when we arrived so we made sure to eat before.

The buildings are old but very quaint. The room as we walked in was so cute. First problem, we could not lock the deadbolt. No big deal but that is a piece of mind we did not get. The room appeared clean, though I notice mold in the bathroom on the cedar ceiling, the bathroom light, and a open storage area in the bathroom. We went to bed pretty quickly but barely slept.

The bed was so firm that we both tossed and turned all night long and were in pain for most of it. Woke up with shoulder pain, back pain, and hip pain. We promptly got ready and the shower ends up flooding the back end of the bathroom and the tile is slippery. After walking outside in the morning, I regretted not being able to endure another night like that because the setting could not be more beautiful and refreshing.

I went to the office and I let them know how awful it was. I was told that no one else has complained about the beds so I felt bad. They attempted to see if putting a new mattress in would help but the new ones are the same as the one we just slept on. The gentleman at the front was apologetic and made every attempt to fix it but ultimately agreed to refund us the second night. I appreciated the incredible service there, but I don't think I will go back unless I bring my own mattress topper.

This place is beautiful! You must stay in the Sonoma suite. It is right over the Russian River. You can watch the seals and birds right from your balcony. We LOVED this place and the innkeepers were so nice and friendly! Very quiet and romantic. I ended up proposing to my GF on the balcony. It was PERFECT!

This Inn is rated 8.3 Fabulous. This Inn is far from Fabulous, Ants in the room, very uncomfortable bed, No staff on after 5pm until 9am. No continental breakfast (sealwrapped muffin / already day old). No TV in the room. Space heater you have to plug in / qas not sufficient to heat the room. Way overpriced fir what you receive $380.00 for a two evening stay. Will not be back!

I don't usually go on rants but this was a bday present/celebration, and for the price, let me tell you what you're in for. first of all if you're claustrophobic this is not the place to stay, if you're under 5'7" the shower hates you (stream right to the face and the shower head doesn't allow for movement) and if you're over 5' tall the towels won't cover pretty much anything but your top or bottom.

The walls are missing paint, poorly sheet-rocked, and the cabinets missing veneer- $269 a night (total rip off). Also if you are having any important calls you might need to have then I don't suggest here bc there is no service and the WiFi cuts out when you need it the most. Oh and hopefully you don't need a plug bc they use extension cords for everything bc there is one outlet in the room.

If you enjoy resting in a comfortable bed, nice mattress, comfy pillows and soft sheets- don't stay here, we believe the floor is crooked so the bed slants, then there's a large divot on the left side, the pillows are basically pancakes and the sheets feel like old hospital sheets. And if you want privacy/sound that doesn't travel good luck, the walls are paper thin and we heard the family next door from check in until we left for dinner- perfect for a romantic stay; including hearing the room next door shower and use the restroom, through the paper walls and the fact there's no pea trap in the shower (so sometimes you even smell the people next door using the restroom).

And the view, I hope you like plants and the shabby house across the street or standing on a chair to see any water. This is by far the most expensive "motel 6" I've ever stayed in, and for the record at least those cheap motels are a bit roomy (see pics). Last but not least, if you are the owner of a service animal in which you need for a disability, be prepared to be argued in to paying a pet deposit, despite the fact it's against ADA laws and you need the animal for assistance. (I was told if you have a "dog" you should notify them beforehand even if it's for your disability- so you aren't charged a fee for your service animal).

One last thing, don't bet on having a place to get drinks or food bc apparently across the street the cafe and wine bar keep their own hours and days despite what the concierge says, the gas station is you best bet! In conclusion, if you are a hard sleeper, who doesn't require an outlet, is taller than 5'7" but likes a tiny towel, don't mind being harassed about disabilities, and doesn't mind overpaying for a crappy not renovated motel 6 without a view- then rent the sand dollar room at the Jenner inn.

The curtains on the windows are completely see through. At night with the light on the inside they became even more so. Due to this there was absolutely no privacy and I felt unsafe the entire night as someone could have been looking in. There was no staff on duty after 6pm so no one I could have addressed this with. Bed was comfortable and staff was friendly at check in.

Bathroom was tiny. the shower was very small leaked outside the shower curtain into the bathroom. Looked like it was an on going thing. Black mold in shower also. The view was nice but the deck is so old and rickety also had a dead rat under the deck that smelt awful. The bats and wasp made it very hard to enjoy the view outside. No privacy on any balcony. Was charged 150 more for pet hair and oder even though it's a dog friendly inn.

We stayed in the first week of August 2021. First of all, we had a great time. The view was wonderful and the area offers breathtaking scenery. The internet connection was not bad and we could use our laptop to connect. The front staff at the Jenner was also very friendly. However the StarLight room needs urgent and severe renovation. When we entered the room we were confronted with a strong stench of urine/bug spray/disinfectant.

It was strongest from the bathroom which had no exhaust/air flow at all. In addition, all the chairs were very uncomfortable to sit on. We used the pillows from the bed. No hooks on the wall despite plenty of space behind the entrance door. Almost $300 per night and no housekeeping due to COVID decisions. The room was also noisy from highway 1 right outside.

So the room itself would get 1 star but the view and the location would get 4 stars. Would be 5 if there were somewhere to eat a meal after 5 pm without driving to the next town for overpriced wilted salad.

Preface- My wife and I have been coming here for over 20 years and now we're here celebrating our 20th anniversary. There's no cell service but they recently added wifi to the rooms so you can call over wifi. What I have written below I attempted to address with management prior to me publishing but they have not returned my call after attempts to meet with them face to face upon checkout.

The good - The views are amazing. The Sound of the Russian River, the birds, and sight of the fog rolling in and out is magical. The smell of the seawater is very soothing and you're right on the edge. The bad - cleanliness. It was a mess. Cobwebs everywhere, many surfaces were not dusted and there was mold in the jetted tub. I was mortified for the price.

There was a hole in the tub covered with tape. I was looking forward to taking a bath and was disappointed to say the least by the level of cleanliness. The pictures attached show the mold in the spouts of the jets. Clearly this was not missed during regular cleaning rather not cleaned in months. The rooms are dated and the bed and pillows were alright.

I would expect a non-spring mattress in this day and age. You can mess up a lot of things in my book but don't screw with a good night sleep. Maybe you can argue it's priced accordingly for what you're getting relative to other stays in the area but for an investment of $600 you can get an excellent mattress from Amazon. I gave it three stars for the view but I can't come back until cleanliness is addressed, bathtub fixed, and the bed upgraded.

I wanted this to be better. My wife and both wanted this to be better and I was very disappointed. I hope this gets fixed and new memories can be made for future anniversaries.

We had a lovely stay in the Fort Ross suite. It was clean and spacious, and had decent wifi, satellite TV, good shower pressure, a wall heater that warms up the space fairly quickly, and spectacular views of the river. It was awesome to open the drapes every morning to that view and eat breakfast while gazing at the river. There's an enclosed patio as well where I peacefully read my book for hours.

The location was great, with the river literally across the street. It's a short drive from Sonoma Coast State Park's hiking trails, Bodega Bay, Guerneville, etc. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was closed during our visit but they provided a packaged daily breakfast of a pastry, fruit, yogurt and cookie. Just FYI the walls can be a little thin so you may hear your neighbors occasionally, and the water pressure seems to drop a bit if multiple units are showering simultaneously. This only happened twice over our three-night stay and it didn't bother us but just sharing as FYI. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Very friendly service. Beautiful, peaceful views and surroundings. So quiet and cozy. Honestly the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in in a LONG time. I really only needed internet to work, but got a dreamy restful escape! I am also impressed with the amenities. It had everything I needed. The C store and Cafe Aquatica are also fantastic establishments in Jenner. I'm in love.

Charming, rustic inn (actually a collection of stand-alone cottages) right on Highway 1, with the Russian River rushin' along, right across the street. I spent two nights in the Fort Ross Suite, which was spacious and had great amenities, including a full kitchen (with pots, pans, utensils), the usual 500 channel TV (and nothing worth watching), and a comfy queen bed.

There was allegedly a rollaway bed in the closet---it was nowhere to be found, but I did not require it in any event. There is another rental unit connected to the back side of this one, but I did not really hear my neighbors, assuming they were there? Employees are very warm and helpful. The lady in charge let me check in early (1 pm, rather than 4 pm), which was very nice.

She also gave me great tips on dining and sightseeing in the area. Plus, guests receive a simple brown bag "continental breakfast" (pastry, fruit, and yogurt) each morning. Downsides? NO CELL PHONE SIGNAL THERE OR IN THE REGION, though the Inn offers free WiFi, and it works well. And very limited dining in the area, and it closes down REAL EARLY, so you might find yourself driving to Guerneville to pick up some food. (The A******S at Grubhub won't deliver to Jenner, and that probably holds true for any other food delivery service from the "big city.").

There is a gas station next to the Inn with a convenience store, and you can find sundry items and wine and beer, etc. All in all, A very pleasant and relaxing place to stay if you want to explore Jenner and the rugged Sonoma County coast. Let me add that by the time you factor in all of the taxes and fees, you are going to spend more than $300 a night doing so. So keep that in mind!

We had a pleasant one night stay at Jenner Inn despite pandemic restrictions. We were impressed with the staff who called us few hours before to ensure we are able to make it on time (there is not cell coverage in the area, so reaching out to us before was a good idea). Arrival and checkin was also great. Only caveat is that our room didn't have a TV, and the internet with ultra slow, and no cell service meant you have to rely on very very slow connection (perhaps barely able to fetch emails).

I am not sure, I left with the thought that this was intensional to detach from social media and "external" world. Overall this was a great place and I highly recommend it. We also recommend carrying your own backup food as surrounding area is highly limited in supplies after certain time of the day.

We are delighted. An as-yet not renovated value. Private cottage with views of coastal hills, river, other buildings. Lots of birds and kayakers to watch. The Treehouse is an aerie, with all bird-themed art. A little funky but quite comfy. Cozy but nice use of space. A surprise not mentioned on website: mini kitchen with tile counter, sink, mini-fridge, and microwave.

I brought cutting board and knife, silverware, bandana napkins, small wood plates, cereal bowls.needed dish soap. They supplied wine glasses, water glasses, coffee mugs, Keurig coffee and fixings; breakfast bag with yoghurt, fruit, nasty guilty-secret pastries (microwave). I'm dying to redo this place--has good bones; know just what it needs!

Unfortunately a red-flag fire day power outage rendered the amenities (both in our room, and local restaurants) nil; we had to cancel but have rebooked for another date. Thanks to owner Charlie for so graciously allowing us a raincheck!

We stayed at the Jenner Inn for two nights and had a great experience. Our room was the Starlight room which was spacious and had great views. The room is situated close to the road so a little noisy at night but we knew the location when we booked and was not much of an issue for us. The bathroom is a bit dated but was clean and functional which is all that matters : I believe this is a dog friendly room but it was clean and no real evidence of any past dog friends. We did the late check in which was straightforward and easy to navigate. Staff was super nice! Overall had a nice stay and look forward to another getaway up here soon.

Unfortunately it has a view but with zero accommodations. The bed is old, the TV doesn't work (some rooms don't have one) and the wi fi is nonexistent. Loud road noise and neighbor convos heard like there was no walls, shower pressure from 1800s and the pricing doesn't match. I'm sorry, I'll never come back. Also the breakfast has mold on it.

4 stars for the food, 2 for the prices. Paid $17 pre-tax for a plate of fish and chips--a standard portion, neither large nor small. It was quite tasty. came with vinegar and an excellent tartar sauce. Fries were crisp and well seasoned. Sadly it was just much more than I feel right spending for something I've always thought of as a cheap comfort food. Had an $8 glass of chardonnay with it, which was good, but I'd have rather just bought a bottle at that price. lol.

If you can get past the expense, it's a cool place with great old timey ambience. On the night we visited, a friend's band was playing by the bar. The room was a tad chilly. Maybe consider keeping the front door shut after dark when the temp. drops? All in all, I'd go back, but I probably won't order both food and drink again.
