Nellie's Deli Market & Cater

They catered a party for us consisting of 24 people. Charged $60.00 per person for Mahi Tacos. Other food was chicken skewers, salad, rice, fruit board, beans and key lime pie. Beer and wine served and paid by consumption. Did not disclose up front the price of Mahi or additional labor. Charged $6.00 per beer so I suggest you buy your own beer and wine. Final cost was $163.00 per person! You better get a concrete cost per person before you sign the contract. Buyer beware.

I'm new to Florida from NYC and found out about Nellie's through my job. HANDS DOWN Besides Publix sandwiches of course, Nellie's has made THEEEE BEST sandwich I've had since 2019. I felt like I was buying a sandwich from a deli down in Soho, better yet, getting one from the WTC. Like the girl's behind the counter said "the food here is made with love".

It damn sure was! I had the Vermont with a bowl of their cheddar n broccoli soup. BANGN'! Even the pickle on the side was on point I have no picture, I ate, savored my lunch and 2hrs later I needed a nap! Now that's a sammich people!

Top notch outstanding service. They pay attention and go out of their to fulfill your order. A weekly stop for both Lunch and Breakfast they staff makes you feel like family.

Really good deli style sandwiches and soups. Incredibly friendly staff. A little pricier than I expected but was worth it. Only real issue we had is they didn't have sweetened tea, only unsweetened. I know it's a New York style deli, but this is the South and we like sweet tea, lol. I would recommend it for casual eating or just to go and hang out. Seemed like a lot of regulars go there people knew each h others names and the staff knew them.

This place is great for bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. Lots of meat and they have Boars Head products. They are fast and very polite. It's New York deli good without all the yelling. Ch burga, ch burga, ch burga.

Ordered the chili. It tasted like pizza sauce. Very in appealing. Only ate a few spoons. Disappointed as I had heard good things about them.

They make really good sandwiches, but I have never had a great interaction with the employees at the deli. I have tried to get sandwiches multiple times within 15 minutes of closing (before they close) and they've just refused to make them. It's bizarre because I'd be happy to spend my money there! They don't seem very happy to be working and the customer service is poor.

I would never buy anything from this place they are rude and the food is mediocre at best. When I called about ordering something before I could even finish my question the person who answered the phone said, NO! we are not taking any orders. When I asked If I might be able to pick it up without having an order she said we fill orders first so don't bother coming in, maybe on Friday if we have any left. Incredibly rude and I have had similar experiences when I bought things from them in the past. NEVER AGAIN.

I called Mortons Market, who has way better hours much better food and customer service. They had exactly what I wanted and said no problem whenever you want to pick it up. I highly recommend using them.

Nellie's Catering went above and beyond for our wedding day. I didn't even need to use a wedding planner because they did everything! They made the process of planning a wedding fun and easy, with meetings at the venue to plan layouts, help with vendors, decoration planning, and more. The food was absolutely delicious, they did a fabulous open bar, and their day of planner helped keep our day stress free and seamless. They took such incredible care of us, and I highly recommend them!

Staff is very friendly, food is always fresh. They have great options for sandwiches on the board or you can make your own. I love the Turkey Vermont and Hubs enjoys the corned beef Reubens. Portions are generous and the dill pickles are a nice touch.

Nellies catering team is out of this world! Kathy Taylor and Terri did an outstanding amazing job with my daughters wedding. I can't recommend them enough! Their knowledge, creativity, hard work, desire to please, kind and friendly natures made them amazing to work with. Highly recommend. They made the day so extra special. Their work is so beautiful. THANKS to all!

I needed to provide lunch for the guests attending my grandfather's memorial over the weekend. I don't live in the area so I started looking around at multiple places and reading reviews. I found Nellie's and saw on their website they cater funeral's and figured they should work. I called and spoke to Kathy and from the moment we started speaking I knew I was in good hands.

I had no idea what to serve or what I needed. She asked a lot of questions and we settled on finger sandwiches with a couple of salads. I set everything up with her over the phone and she promptly e-mailed me the proposal. The day of the memorial I needed the food to be delivered early while I wasn't at the church. Their delivery person arrived on time and all the food was perfectly packed for the luncheon after the service.

When it came time to eat, everyone loved the sandwiches and the salads. We had a potato salad and a pasta salad made with orzo. I didn't feel like eating, but I had a few bits of the potato salad and it was HEAVEN. I wish I had more of an appetite, or even the ability to take food home it was so good. The sandwiches were really great too and none of them were even close to being soggy, even after sitting in the fridge for a couple of hours.

I would highly recommend Nellie's Catering for a future event. Kathy was a dream to work with and I didn't have to worry about the anything. It was nice that one task for the memorial went smoothly without a need to check up on it or worry about it. I can't thank them enough for the great customer service, and more importantly the exceptional food.

We can't thank Fredda, Craig, Ashlee, Kathy and the entire Nellie's team for making our day so perfect. The day ran exactly as planned, Nellie's helps with more than just delicious food. The catering team helps with everything from the timeline, to rentals and decor, to seating arrangements, exceptional servers and bartenders, and making the day flow exactly as planned.

The food was delicious, we got so many compliments and even had people asking for seconds, Craig was able to work with us on creating a custom menu for a very picky crowd. Thank you Nellie's for making our day exactly what we wanted!

This company is absolutely WONDERFUL to work with. Nellie's Catering is who we used to cater our daughter's wedding on Dec 22nd 2018. We also used them for the wedding coordinator as well. Brie Gibson and Kathy Taylor were the absolute DREAM TEAM! They were great to work with from start to finish. We had some back and forth changes and not one time did they ever give us the idea they were frustrated with us.

And truth be told due to issues at the venue the day of the rehearsal Kathy Taylor stepped in to save the day or else the wedding might not have happened. Brie and her team did a fabulous job with organizing the entire thing, the food was great and I can't say enough good things about them. I would 1,000% recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Nellies was PHENOMENAL! From the flexibility of meetings, to the food tasting, to the decor options, this team has got it down! They went above and beyond to help us through our decision process, and were able to accommodate our food allergies flawlessly. Our guests were all talking about how incredible the food was! (Even the ones who owned their own restaurant!) As if the food wasn't enough, Ashlee and Kathy walked us back to their decor room where we were able to pick from a plethora of details! Lanterns, center pieces, table numbers, candles, stones, etc.

They even set up a mock table with our linens to show us how it would all look! Their staff was incredibly kind and professional the day of and made sure our guests were fed and happy!

Such a great little lunch spot with super friendly and helpful staff! Menu was priced appropriately and the sandwiches we got were great!

Nellie's just catered my daughters wedding last weekend. We started our planning late and were very disorganized. From the moment we hired Nellie's everything was handled timely and with the care that made my daughter feel special and important. From the food to the atmosphere it was absolutely perfect. We could not have asked for a better partner to go through this process with. I would absolutely recommend them for any event.

All out of town brides (and I'm sure in town too) MUST hire Nellie's! Their delightful, hard working, funny, thoughtful staff will make your day more beautiful, yummy, organized and fun than you ever hoped a catering company could! Did you know your catering company should do ALL of that? Well, I did not, until I started working with my superb team!

From the first to the last email and phone calls from Fredda, Brie and Mary Kay I was calmer, happier, more organized and therefore could enjoy everything fuller and spend time on other wedding tasks. My husband and I were a bit shocked at how often we would need to talk with Fredda about the ceremony, because we had no clue what we were doing, but we needed every meeting!

They take you through every moment of the evening. Their organization and room of goodies to use at your wedding (money saver!) is impressive. I THANK God for their guidance, flexibility, support, ideas, upbeat attitudes, and all the little things they did for us! They worked within our budget and listened to what we wanted and made it happen! The tasting were so much fun and they made it happen on a weekend I flew in town with my mom to figure out wedding details.

I reason I gave them a 4.8 instead of a 5.0 is because I wish they would have pushed us to order more of our desserts. The desserts, a combo of a bunch of things- 2 types of cake pops, 2 types of cake shooters, and 2 types of bon bons (requested macaroons, but they couldn't make it happen)- was so delicious that everyone wanted one of everything instead of the three each we had budgeted for. Did I mention they will make your day so much less stressful which means you will get to enjoy it more?

My advice, is to hire them, and remember to walk slowly because the day will end in a split second and you will want to experience it all over again! When it is time for a renewing of vowed, anniversary party or any type of party I need in Sarasota, Nellie's will be my catering service.

I sought Nellie's catering for a reception to celebrate my father's funeral. The catering staff were extremely customer oriented and very easy to work with and needed zero managing during the event. The food was tasty, we had no leftovers and the sangria was a hit. They are worth every penny and I will definitely use them in the future.

My mother and grandmother went for our catering tasting - they treated them like royalty and took detailed notes on all of their comments. They continue to be amazing to work with.
