Went to see William for photos for my website, as a new business owner. He told me he had a big studio in New York for years, and moved to the area to be closer to his grandkids. He wanted to continue being a photographer and opened up a studio here. You can tell from the moment you walk in that this is a professional setting with soft lights that add a nice glow to your photos.
The weddings I do are special. I will take you to several spots in New York City and photograph the bridal couple and the bridal party (if you wish), as if it were a magazine editorial shoot. Since I was raised in the city, I know all the best spots. So, if you are thinking about getting married in New York, this could be just the thing. It's certainly not your typical wedding. And your photographs won't by typical either!
These images are called Solarizations and are available for purchase. They are impressionist interpretations of various landscapes and are created by using several filters combined, in Adobe Photoshop. They are also available in custom color combinations suitable for wall art.
This Winslow Homer exhibition at NYC's Metropolitan museum was crafted so well that many of the paintings were visible throughout! We tend to see everything within frames these days, especially photographers. Now, with the advent of cell phone cameras, it's like we are looking at the world on a ground glass frame just the way we did years ago with view cameras. Haven't been shooting much new yet during this holiday season, but I have been working on more of the photographs I made in Hawaii in October.

Bill did a nice job for us on a family photo shoot, which got complicated by the pandemic. We appreciated his considerable flexibility. I subsequently hired him to shoot a much bigger family event, and once again we were completely pleased with the results. He's reliable, professional, and flexible when circumstances dictate -- everything you want in a photographer. I will hire him again in a heartbeat.

Five years ago, Bill Lulow took some exceptionally fine pictures for use on my business website. I returned to him recently for some informal, personal portraits. After an enjoyable photo shoot and some photo-editing afterwards, we had many very flattering images from which I chose three excellent ones. Although I did not intend to initially, I am sending these to my kids with the message: "Please save these for the distant future. I want you to remember me as more handsome than I actually am."

I needed a photo of myself for a board that I recently joined. I've had nothing more than passport and ID photos done in the past 20 years. I expected that I would sit for 10 minutes, have a few shots taken, then leave. Instead, Mr Lulow coached me through more than 50 photos, brought me to his upstairs workspace where we selected the best of the bunch, then edited those on his computer to make me look better.
He spent more than an hour working with me to produce the best looking photos. The thought of sitting for photos was uncomfortable and unfamiliar to me. He made it a relaxed and comfortable experience and produced some excellent photos. I recommend him.

William Lulow is a seasoned and all around talented photographer. He can do it all. He took a terrific headshot of me that I love and use all the time. He is easy to work with and very funny, too. That's important because you will feel relaxed around him when you're being photographed. I also hired him to take photos of my products for my shopping website. He has the patience of a saint. He is very knowledgeable and meticulous about his work. I highly recommend him for any type of photography job and/or editing you need to do.

Bill Lulow is the most professional of the professional photographers I've encountered over the years. I needed website portraits and, arriving with a mountain of lights, backgrounds and equipment, Bill spent two hours, at a reasonable price, and gave us over 200 excellent images to choose from. So many were so good that the choosing was the hardest part of the process. The website gets compliments for being impressive, mainly because of Bill's photos. He's a pleasure to work with as well.
