From the very first appointment at M.A. Carr I felt very comfortable and at ease during a time that can be easily overwhelming. My dress ended up being the very first one I tried on and the process was smooth from start to finish. The staff is so sweet and they went above and beyond to contact the designer of my dress to see if the neckline could be raised which they were able to make happen. I would highly recommend M.A.Carr as I had an absolutely wonderful experience purchasing my wedding dress here!

My dress had over 30 problems with it and on my wedding it fell apart. Spent an extra 2 grand to alter a dress that was supposed to be custom made. the alterations were things i asked for at my first appointment but didn't matter because they weren't written down by the girl helping me.

Very friendly and accommodating. We had found a dress we liked at a different bridal shop. They were able to get us the same dress cheaper and with discounts.

M.A. Carr was my second and last stop for my bridal dress! The girls were extremely easy to work with and made the shopping process so easy! I walked in, knowing roughly what I wanted but the girls helped make my vision come to life! Jill was super easy to get in touch with when I had some delays to my dress and veil order. Such a great experience that I would highly recommend to all brides!

From the moment I walked in these girls were so welcoming and kind. I felt like they were just as excited about my big day as I was! Kim, the woman who assisted me, was a God send and such a professional. I gave her an idea of exactly what I wanted and DOWN TO A SCIENCE she brought me the dress of my dreams that SHE hand picked and just so happened to fit me PERFECT!

I couldn't be more pleased with the service. I had so much fun. We laughed the entire time! I felt as if we were all friends! This was an unforgettable experience that I will never forget and I HIGHLY recommend these lovely ladies over any chain business that sells dresses any day! LOVED IT HERE! The best of the best.

My sister was looking for her wedding dress during COVID and this is the first (and only!) place that she shopped. I was along to help with dress selection. The place isn't anything super fancy, but it is cute. I really liked the pink lines for the parking spaces. You are required to take your shoes off before going into the back where the dresses are tried on and *during covid* all of the dresses were steamed between clients trying them on.

The consultant that worked with my sister (I am so sorry that I didn't get her name!) was absolutely wonderful and really helped make the experience smooth. She took into consideration my sister's needs and pulled dresses that really matched what she was looking for. Things went so well, in fact, that my sister said yes to the dress at the end of the 2 hour appointment. I am looking forward to going back in a few months to pick our bridesmaids dresses.

M.A Carr Bridal was such a wonderful experience! I had gone to previous bridal shops and didn't have the experience like I did here. The bridal salon is very cute and the staff members all had upbeat personalities. I told my designer what style I was looking for and the first dress that I had tried on was the one! She took exactly what I had envisioned in my mind and was able to find me the perfect dress. I would highly recommend going here to find your bridal dress!

Ended up buying my dress here! It was the 4th place I went. I was ready to buy two other dresses from two salons. I was so set, I almost cancelled my appointment here. Karen assisted and made sure I tried on everything I hadn't tried before. At first she tried some stunning dresses that were pretty similar to everything else I tried. Some I liked and some I wrote off.

Then she pulled out a wildcard dress and I fell in love instantly. This was the only dress I cried from. She knew exactly what she was doing. We said yes so quickly, we had time to look at dresses for my mother. And SHE ended up saying "Yes" too! Fantastic place. Karen was amazing and September can't come soon enough!

I got my wedding dress from here. I came here after I didn't find anything remotely appealing at David's Bridal. I should have just skipped out there because this place was the jack pot. The associate that helps you find your dress is with you for the entire process- finding the dress, ordering, accessorizing etc, which I really liked. They REALLY take the time to figure out exactly what you're looking for.

Even when you're like me, who had no idea what you want. And then when you think you do, you get the complete opposite dress than expected. They gave me a list of places to get my dress tailored as well as other lists to help me with my wedding planning. I recommend this place to everyone

I was in Buffalo from out of town to finalize my wedding venue and we had a little extra time. My Mom called and they said I could come by and look despite being last minute and not having an appointment. I was lucky Cathy was able to fit me on her schedule. She was wonderful! She selected gorgeous dresses that fit what thought I wanted and picked out ones that I wouldn't have selected, but liked.

It was my first time shopping for wedding dresses and she set the bar so high. My Mom, sister and I have nothing but the best to say about Cathy and the shop. I have not made a final decision, but we left with two beautiful options. She kept the choices within the price range specified. Most gowns are $800-3,000 so if that isn't your budget than it's wise to shop elsewhere. Thank you to the staff at M.A. Carr for being accommodating, very helpful and making my first experience trying on dresses delightful!

Kim was nothing but a pleasure to work with while finding my wedding dress! I am a bigger girl and was very worried about finding a wedding dress that I felt comfortable in. While I was working with Kim I never felt as though I was a "big girl" and she made the wedding dress experience just as wonderful as any other girl. When going into the appointment I didn't give her much as far as what I wanted because I was honestly not sure.

Each dress I tried on she took into account what I did and didn't like and each dress got better and better until I found the one! She also was extremely patient with me and made several phone calls to the designer to ask about purchasing extra material to eventually add sleeves, raise the back of the dress, and add extra lace. Although I worked with Kim directly, the entire staff at M.A Carr was absolutely awesome! They create an extremely professional, friendly and fun environment while finding your wedding dress!

We felt like cattle. Maybe Sunday is a bad day to make an appointment but, when we arrived there were no more than six parties trying to "register" with their consultant. We were all jammed into the front room where people were literally tripping over each other. Then, instead of a taking us to a private area, we were in with two other families trying on gowns.

The whole experience was distracting. Brides should be made to feel special - not like they're in a department store trying on Prom dresses. The consultant was attentive enough but the atmosphere leaves a great deal to be desired. Either don't book so many appointments at once or redesign your viewing rooms.

Don't waste your time. Pushy and Rude on more than one occasion. So many other options for bridal/ formal wear.

I found my dress the first time looking at MA Carr! I went shopping, kind of just looking to see what looks best on my body type (Big boobs, broad shoulders gal). The service was great. I mean, it's a small boutique so you want to feel comfortable! And I did. My brother came with me so they put us in a room in the back, but set up my family up front to see the dresses.

The woman helping me was so helpful. She actually found the dress I ended up buying! It was totally different from what I was trying on and it was one last "why don't you try this" before I left and I ended up falling in love. Now, I am from Buffalo but live in Los Angeles. So the next issue was the distance, but it was no issue at all. When the dress came in, they had no problem keeping it until I was able to fly back (which was months later) and try it on again before I took it home. I thought this really showed their dedication to the bride's because not every shop will do that. So thank you, MA Carr!

M.A. Carr exceeded all of my expectations. The staff is amazing! The ladies there are so helpful, friendly, and they truly care about helping you find that perfect dress! Their dress selection is quite large and includes every style you can think of. I wasn't exactly sure of the style of dress I wanted but, Kim, one of their stylists, really paid attention to what I liked and didn't like while trying on dresses.

She was able to zero in on the style, detail, etc. of the dress I wanted and I ended up finding THE dress on my first visit! My entire experience with them is one I will definitely brag about to everyone.

When I went to try on wedding dresses here I did not feel welcome at all. Well for one, I don't understand the whole taking off your shoes while the sales assistants kept theirs on. And I seen them going in and out of the back door to go outside so I don't get it. I Told my sales lady what I am looking for and it seemed like she didn't care and pulled whatever she wanted me to try on. It seemed like I was a nuisance for her. All and all, was not a good experience I wouldn't recommend going there.

M A Carr is a lovely boutique. All of the employees are sweet and attentive, but not at all pushy. Erin was my consultant and she was so helpful, knowledgeable, and comfortable to be around. It felt like I was shopping with a close girl friend and not a stranger. They had a good mix of dress styles and designers and sizes - something for everyone!

I also attended a sample sale at this boutique and was very pleased to find a gorgeous dress for only $700 - which I did not expect to find anywhere but perhaps a generic off-the-rack bridal shop. The shop is very clean and I liked that they had an area to take your shoes off (so the dresses stay pristine and white). The changing room area also had "bright lighting" and "reception lighting" so you can see how your dress sparkles in different lights!

Best of all, I received the kindest hand-written card from my consultant at the boutique after my appointment. I cannot wait to return to this store to purchase my dream dress. I highly recommend this shop and Erin as a consultant!

M A Carr is very professional and nice inside. This is not a super fancy fancy where you are handed a glass of champagne and made to feel like a queen, but it is 100x better than David's Bridal, if that helps. They had an average size selection to choose from and the trying and fitting was enjoyable. The attendants are very helpful and able to bring you choices based on your dream dress you describe. They are very knowledgeable about sizing, trust them and do NOT be offended. They know how each dress runs, get the dress that fits you perfectly!

Wonderful experience. The salon is beautiful and all of the staff is warm and welcoming. My bridesmaid and I had a lovely time. I found a dress I LOVED that I don't know if I would have pulled. Kim listened to my vision and found my my dream dress. She even did my the kindness of tracking down dresses of my bridesmaids color to hold up next to me so I new if the blush worked with purple.

After a second visit that turned emotional for another unrelated to the salon reason, I left without getting to order my dream dress. I just got a lovely note in the mail from my consultant, Kim. It was such a lovely, thoughtful gesture. I cannot wait to go back and order the dress!

Woman was very nice, pulled 2 dresses for me that were exactly the same and not really at all what I wanted. If you have boobs make sure you bring a strapless bra or the bra you plan on wearing for your wedding, unlike David's bridal which is obvioisly much larger, m.a. carr doesnt provide an undergarment to try the dress on with. It was ok, I wasn't blown away, as a plus size bride, with the options given to me I wasnt motivated to return.

I got my wedding, bridesmaid, and flower girl dresses and accessories from MA Carr. They had so many options and I received exactly what I wanted. The women who work there are not only great at what they do, they are more than willing to meet your requests and do so with a positive attitude and great enthusiasm. A wonderful experience. Will definitely be recommending to others!

I got my wedding and bridesmaids dresses from M A Carr. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with every visit. When trying on dresses, I appreciated that I was able to get into the dress behind a curtain, then have help zipping it up. It made for a comfortable experience. When my dress came in, we noticed some of the buttons were a different shade of white; they took care of this issue quickly and made sure to double check for any other flaws. My dress fit perfectly and my girls' dresses looked and fit beautifully!

Seems like people only rate MA Carr when they are displeased. I ordered a bridesmaid dress from here last year and my friend purchased her gown here also. The service was excellent, measurements were taken correctly, and we never felt pressured or pushed aside. I've talked to many people who have gone to MA Carr and they have all been very pleased. I plan on making an appointment with them as soon as I get engaged!

Ok.yes, I am a dude. But I did go here and I am writing a review from a males perspective. I was "dragged here" by my lovely fiance who decided it would be a good idea to have me help pick out my daughters flower girl dress for our wedding. Knowing my opinion on the matter would be irrelevant I "played the game" and went. When you walk in you are immediately greeted by a employee and asked about a reservation which I highly suggest you make before showing up.

You are asked to take your shoes off right away as they do not want all the white dressed destroyed which is understandable. Men. We are not allowed past the front area. I wonder what goes on back there? is it like that movie brides maids or war. I forget the exact movie. I am assuming women are in their unmentionables so I was perfectly fine with waiting up front.

The lovely employee provided me with about 10 different magazines to read while I waited which were actually pretty good, not just full of bride junk. My daughter happily ran up front in her dresses to show me with a smile ear to ear which was the cutest thing in the world she felt like a real princess. After they selected the dress M.A. Carr herself came out to introduce herself to me and sit down to talk about the dress.

Being that the wedding is a few months away she gave us her expert advise on what size color, spec, etc. we should do in case my daughter has a growth spurt between now and then. Overall very happy and quite impressed with the service and attention to detail. The place is way too girly inside though.which is to be expected. Its really a place for women only but I was welcome.

I am appalled by the negative reviews here. I had a PHENOMENAL experience with MA Carr, and was treated with respect, professionalism, and genuine concern every time I entered the boutique. Further, as an out of town bride, I was beyond impressed with how flexible MA Carr was with my schedule. They worked around my availability and my visits to town, even going so far as to fit in one last fitting right before my wedding to ensure that everything would be perfect.

My dress was gorgeous, and everything that I could have asked for.my seamstress, Jill, even was incredibly accommodating in adding matching straps to my gown (I didn't want a strapless gown, but didn't like many of the non-strapless options). I suppose one could complain their dresses are a bit expensive. However, if you want cheap, go to David's.but I guarantee you won't receive the same level of service (or, likely, the same quality of gown).

Terrible customer service. They don't help the brides put on the dresses at all, they just throw you in a room with the dress and make you figure it out yourself. Sure they have "reception lighting" but everyone looks better in the dark! Finding a bridesmaids dress is even worse, they just send you into a room where you are left to fend for yourself.

All of the dresses are torn to shreds, and it's really awesome trying to find dresses that haven't been put away correctly since the sales people couldn't be bothered to help you. (Also the shower curtain rod that they use as a dressing room curtain holder fell on one of the other bridesmaids heads- at least you'll probably have a great laugh shopping here) I had to order my bridesmaids dress from here as it was the only store that carried the line of dresses needed for the wedding in this area.

I was measured as a 10 bust, a 2 waist, and a 10 hip, and told to order the 10 to make sure that it fit. Awesome, I know nothing about bridal sizing so I went with their suggestion. Fast forward 9 months (that's a crazy long time!) and I finally received the dress. It is huge in the hips, bust, waist, butt, everywhere! At least the bride won't have to worry about transportation, cause I can carry her to the wedding in the bust of my gown! There are way better bridal salons to go to in the Buffalo area that actually care about you enjoying your experience. Don't let the gimmicky lighting trick you.
