Love this secret get away. I have been bringing people for years! Multiple Yankee Swap nights for at least 15 years then they changed owners and we had our dil's shower and rehearsal dinner-all fabulous; food, service, etc. We've been coming here way before it wax the HOT SPOT! It's got ambiance and great food!

Some thing has changed. We have been going to the coachman for years. Best outdoor dinning around They have spent a great deal of money on the outdoor patio. It looks great.however food portions are now much less than ever.the drinks have less booze in them. Food and staff great. Speak up and say something

Asia noodle salad with tuna was just okay for $32. My Orzo salad was mushy and tasteless for a fourteen dollar salad. The flatbread pizza had a blob a cheese all over it and was not tasty for $14 dollars. The best part of the visit was the the waitress. She was very attentive and pleasant. We use to enjoy going to the Coachmen's lodge. We will not be back until the quality of the food improves.

Food is great. for the small and limited menu they have if i wanted a burger or a chicken kabab i would go to 5 guys for 100$ less. They have no seating inside only on the patio and most seats are in the sun. Staff were responsive and kind but i have had food trucks with better customer accomidations

We were so happy to return Sunday the fifth of June, to the Coachman's bar and patio. They were closed for quite a while at the bar due to Covid. Pleasantly surprised to see our favorite bartender, Mel! We have known her for fifteen years and she has found a home here. Mel is the consummate professional! The food was great as always and from the bar you can see the phenomenal cooks hard at work!
We also met Bill the owner and his sidekick. Bill has designed the exterior tree /shrub landscape design over the years, all overlooking a beautiful pond. Creating a wonderful Atmosphere. Thank you to all the hard workers at Coachman's Lodge! A finely tuned performance and execution. Great job very much appreciated. Best wishes for a great season and new entertainment. JC&BC

Outdoor Fine Dining. This place is expensive, however the food was top tier. I got the baked haddock which was so tender and flavorful. Alcohol is not skipped when making the drinks either! Our waitress was extremely entertaining, outspoken, and attentive. We did have our own cake for a celebration and the location was very accommodating. They placed it in the fridge while we ate and delivered it table side when we were ready.
Unfortunately there were bees, this is to be expected during an outdoor dining experience, however I personally cannot handle them well. I ended up spilling my drink (which was replaced at no cost). I understand there is not much the location can do, but my experience was certainly impacted.

I went here for Mother's day and had reservations for 5 people and called to add one person a few days before. I was told we could not add a person to the reservation. When we were seated they sat us at a table for 8. Can't understand why we couldn't add one seat. Food was good but not going to consider this place in the future!

If I could give this no stars I would. My kids brought me there for a Mother's Day lunch. The food was terrible, for what they charge the food should have been at least decent. It was cold and just plan gross. I never leave bad reviews but this was unacceptable, they took complete advantage of the fact that it's Mother's Day. I've been there before for a bridal shower and it was great, but this time it was absolutely awful.

Excellent food and excellent service! Sherry was out server and she was terrific. The cocktails were delicious as were the apps. We had calamari and the Tuscan wings which are TO DIE FOR! Our dinner portions were very generous which required us to take home leftovers and the next day, they tasted even better. I recommend going on the weekend so you can get one of the specials - they are awesome but not served during the week. We can't wait to return in the summer to dine outside -- the setting is simply beautiful!

We booked their Four Season's Room for my baby shower this June, which is beautiful and very much cross-functional with the indoor/outdoor/covered outdoor space right within that room. I was so excited. Things were going great - all the details were discussed many months in advance. Then, they called me a month before the event to say they essentially double booked the room. An oversight when rescheduling a COVID 2020 bride which seemed to trump the importance of my baby shower.
I don't know exactly who had the room first, but it didn't matter, there was no way to reasonably negotiate with them to have my event in the space that we booked. (I offered to shave off an hour at the end of my shower but they blatantly said, "No.") They offered a completely different space for us - a huge ball room with a completely segregated, uncovered, all grass outdoor space. (A space where I literally said upon touring months ago that I wouldn't want for my shower, as it's clearly all set up for a large wedding.) It just wasn't appropriate for my small, casual shower. So, I spent the days to follow calling small venues all across Massachusetts and there's absolutely no availability anywhere, as everyone is catching up on 2 years of events in one summer. So, I called Coachmen's back to reluctantly see if their ball room would still be an option out of desperation. Whoever answered the phone said she could talk to me and answer any questions I had but then was so confused because my original baby shower was still on the books.
I asked if the manager could call me back later that day. She assured me they would but of course they never did. They did give us a full deposit refund for their mistake - but not without first mentioning they typically only do refunds in form of gift cards to the restaurant. (Uh? Of course that would never be acceptable given the circumstances.) Needless to say/tl;dr - They seem very much unorganized right now so please be aware they could make critical mistakes in booking your important event, too.

Not sure how long it takes for a review to be posted, so sorry if this is a duplicate. My husband and I went for dinner last night. We drove over a hour each way to get there. The evening started out great at the bar with Jackie and then we moved to a table for our 8:30 reservation with Kim. The service and food were excellent. Kim made great recommendations and took the time to bring samples of wine so we could make a selection to buy a bottle.
While we were having dessert and a cocktail, we heard the manager tell Kim and the other servers that she needs the money. WHO DOES THAT? The table of 8 next to us was looking to get another round as well. As we were leaving I went over to the manager Melanie and other bartender Diane to tell them how we felt and how that came across. They did not care what I had to say or how things were handled.
I have been in the restaurant business for over 40 years and have never has any of my staff or myself ever said that in front of paying customers. I understand that we all want to go home at the end of our shifts, but it should have been handled in a more professional manner. This was our first time at the Coachman were spent over $200.00 and have a gift certificate that we have not used. We are not sure we would go back to have the same experience. Wendy.

Updating it again. Not sure what's going on with them. We did Thanksgiving with them and obviously with inflation I was expecting them to go up - but was surprised the ham we get every year went up only a dollar. It was now 27. We booked the reservation after that like we do every year. Christmas, I don't know what happened. Our waitress was a sweetheart- so she did nothing wrong.
But they literally in one month went up on the same ham we had on thanksgiving roughly 6.00. It was the same ham. In fact it was fattier and saltier-- and not a good cut like thanksgiving. Also they over-seasoned the roasted potatoes and every year for that amount of money - they'll give you a small side salad. They did on Thanksgiving and for the last 5 years we've been doing BOTH thanksgiving and Christmas there - so I'm not sure what went on for Christmas.

I do hope they realize that I've seen hikes in all food at many restaurants we go to on the regular- but never a 6 increase last minute per plate. Even the Chinese restaurant we went to tonight went up 2.00 on everything for new year's limited menu - but it wasn't 6 and it wasn't a downgrade in how the food tasted as well.

In October, we had a memorial dinner for our father, who passed away earlier this year. The planning was seamless because of the caring and expertise of Danny, who went above and beyond to ensure that the event was exactly what we hoped. We were able to hold the event in a gorgeous outdoor garden with the availability of indoor space, if the weather did not cooperate.
The setting, service and food were impeccable! Danny was present and ensured that everything ran smoothly! Meg was also a pleasure to work with! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Coachmen's Lodge and the dedicated team who helped make a difficult time easier.

My sister got married here over the weekend, everything was amazing. The set up of the venue and the ceremony was beautiful, the food was amazing! The staff did such a great job setting up & keeping up with any of our requests. Kassandra was our wedding coordinator. She was absolutely amazing. She was extremely professional, so easy to talk with, anything the bride wanted she made work, she was so helpful with ideas & keeping us on track time wise throughout them night.
She was very attentive & came to me (the maid of honor) instead of bothering the bride during the night. Kassandra worked so hard for the wedding & was a very big part of this day, we could not have asked for a better coordinator!

First time here. Classy elegant atmosphere. Clean facilities. Fast service, sat down within 2 minutes. Ordered drinks had them in 5 mins to the table. The prices are high but the portions are well worth it. Had the chicken parmigiana, seafood bisque. Fabulous meal no complaints. The desserts salted caramel cheesecake the bomb! Kim the waitress was fantastic and all the staff very friendly. Definitely be back. Bring the bank.meal for two with 2drinks each with a tip $150.

Let me start off by telling you it had been almost 20 years since I had been to the Coachmen. So much has changed. The patio area is gorgeous! As others have said menu items are on the higher price point but the portions are fairly large. I ordered the Yellow Tail special, which was very tasty and fresh. Others at my table really enjoyed their dinners as well.
The bread is phenomenal. Our waitress was Lisa, who was attentive and had a great personality. I asked for a drink that wasn't on the menu (a spicy margarita) and it was made perfectly. I will certainly be back for a date! One complaint I had was the amount of mosquitos that came out at dusk. My poor ankles were eaten alive. I can only imagine how much worse they would have been if they didn't spray.
The property management should definitely talk to the company they use for mosquito management because their product isn't cutting it. We weren't even that far off from the building, I can only think the farther tables would have gotten it worse.

Had a wonderful wedding reception on July 17 after getting married in January. Having booked it for January before COVID, Dani and the venue were very helpful in helping me reschedule the date to a time in the summer. Because of the delay, we were able to use the new outdoor, covered patio along with the Four Seasons room. We had access to the beautiful grounds and were ready to have lawn games but the storms thought otherwise.
Even with the pouring rain, we were still able to take our family pictures outside in the covered patio. The venue was immaculate and the food amazing! Food was piping hot and the passed appetizers were huge! We really enjoyed the bite size french onion bowls and Baked Stuffed fish. Food was served family style at my choosing and honestly, it was presented well.
Not just food thrown in a bowl! The wait staff were attentive and helpful. There was plenty of food to go around. With about 85 people, we had plenty of room for a dance floor, dj and 4 piece band. All in all it was a great night and working with Dani and Coachmen's was a great experience.

Service was absolutely fantastic. Sherry (not 100% sure how to spell her name) was so friendly and enjoyable to have as a server! Very attentive. My party and I ordered a ton of appetizers, but we really enjoyed the baked feta and coconut shrimp. Chicken parm was a very hefty, large serving. One of my friends Brick chicken was however raw which is where this place loses a star. Espresso martinis were fantastic! Will definitely return and when you go ask for Sherry!

My previous review was not very good at this location. But seeing that the end is near for COVID me/my party decided to give Coachman a chance. We were not disappointed! Everything at the Coachman was as we remembered it! Service. Food Quality. Atmosphere.everything was terrific! So happy we can now come back to one of our favorite places and be assured an excellent dining experience!

We did their take out for Thanksgiving and it was very good. Delicious mac & cheese, vegetables, stuffing, mashed potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, turkey (of course), and pumpkin pie. The turkey had to be cooked longer than we expected (it indicted we just had to warm it for an hour), but that's not a big deal. We really enjoyed everything. And the food fed more people, many more times than they said it would. We were very happy with it, and we will definitely be ordering from them again. Thumbs up!

We were very disappointed in our experience last night. First we had a reservation for 4 at 5pm for outside seating. After many apologies we were sat 35 minutes late. Our meal started out ok. We ordered drinks then appetizers then our main course. 2 hours later we noticed people who had been seated after us had ordered and were paying their check.
We asked our sever what's up and they apologized and said they were really busy. When we pointed out that people near us have been fed and were seated after us he became agitated. We then asked for a manager. The manager came over and apologized and said he'd check in our meal. 15 minutes later we see him bring meals out to other tables.
He never came over to explain where our food was. We called him over and we said we are leaving. He then started to argue with us.l It's too bad, the menu looked great but the service was horrible
