Amazing bakery! I would highly recommend. I found them in 2014 and i've never stopped going! the perfect nut free bakery but great for people without allergies! highly recommend! the owners are so kind and sweet.

We ordered the 8 Build Your Own Vanilla Buttercream Frosted Vanilla Cake with 1 White Bouquet of Sugared Flowers for our wedding. The flavor of the cake was amazing, both the frosting and the cake itself. It was the best cake I have ever had. The presentation of the cake was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The process of ordering was simple and easy through their website as well as the pickup process. We will be back again for purchasing birthday cakes, etc. Highly recommend! Thank you!

I used to get all my bakery goods here. I followed every direction on website and ordered a 50th birthday cake that was his favorite. The website said it was very strict with pick up times due to covid which I respect. I walked in at my exact pic up time and the man was so rude he could not find my order and passed me off to a different person and helped someone else. Needless to say.

Their sat his cake NOT decorated or at all ready. Just cake. They told me that I needed to not stress and just deal with it and they felt sorry for me if I was that upset that they didn't have the cake even close to being done. Thanks cakes for occasion for ruining my husband's 50 th. You should be ashamed

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter 5 days in advanced, when to pick up and owner said she forgot to make it. Not sure how this happens. Instead of using any semblance of customer service, she advised to me get something else or leave. Been a customer for over the past 5 years and now will never go back.

I have to give thanks to Cakes for Occasions for their creative cake ideas. I recently had my daughter's 7 birthday party and I got the cake pops and cake rockets as substitute for cake and cupcakes. It was very COVID-free friendly. It was the BEST choice and everyone loved them!

Their cake looked lovely. But it ate like a supermarket cake. And the frosting was so sweet it was inedible. 4 people and only 1 fan. They need to change their recipes. I don't recommend this place. And it's too bad because I like to support local businesses

I hate to be mean but this place needs some help! Ordered a cake for my daughter directly off the web site, directly off the web site! No changes, no special request! I won't embarrass the shop by posting a picture of what they handed me! It was a mess! Looked nothing like the cake on the web site. The women apologized and gave us our money back.

She said she was short on people due to Covid. I said if you didn't think you could do the job then call me, I ordered the cake on Tuesday to be picked up on Saturday, plenty of time for them to call and say sorry they just couldn't do it, I would have been ok with them if they were honest. I had to run to Stop N Shop and get a cake! What a let down.

Convenience & Quality! I had a last minute emergency to find my simple wedding cake with a 4-day window. Found this place online and was not disappointed! The website has a simple 'add-to-cart' method that allowed me to pick a cake & cupcakes and check-out! Upon pickup the cake was safely packed in a box as well as the cupcakes! The taste was great and they were a hit at my wedding!

I ordered a birthday cake online. The website is easy to use, making that part of the process super simple. We chose a vanilla cake, $35 for a 6 inch cake, I thought a little pricy but assumed having a cake made to order would be worth it. The cake was very pretty, loved that about it. However the cake was very very very dry and super bland. It did not taste like it had been made to order, it tasted like a premade cake that had been previously frozen.

Which is a shame considering the price tag that came with its. I will say the saving grace (and why my rating is 3 stars and not 2) would be that I bought cupcakes once I got there because they looked so good! $25 for 6 (which again, pretty darn pricey) but at least this time was worth it. Delicious! I wish the cake had lived up to this standard. Overall I would say if you're going here- go for the cupcakes because the cakes might leave you down!

I was married a year ago today I had them do my cake which was stunning! I am sad and disappointed about the cake they gave me for my 1 year anniversary. When I called they said they are only doing chocolate or vanilla because of COVID they were kind of rude on the phone but I said nothing and chose vanilla and asked for them to write happy anniversary on it when I got there they hadn't wrote anything on it I asked for them to write it in black she said choose a different color I said blue she said we don't have that either I said I really wanted blue she dolloped a thing of bright green on top of the wedding cake put some blue sugary thing on top and wrote an orange happy anniversary and said here you go and expect me to just walk out I did because I understand Covid and everything has been crazy but when I went to eat the cake today it was dry and gross I'm just very upset with my overall experience of getting the cake for my anniversary especially since we paid $1000 on our wedding day for the cake we got

I have been a long-time social media fan of Cakes for Occasions (who doesn't like looking at beautiful cakes and baked goods online in their spare time. judge me), and finally got the chance to stop by and try them out in real life. Let me just say, their products taste just as incredible as they look! Their service was amazing - everyone working there was extremely kind and patient.

They have so many options to stop by and pick up in store, but you can also place custom orders in advance on their website or over the phone. A personal favorite of mine was the lemon raspberry cupcake - delicious! This is my new go-to spot for celebrations, and should be yours too!

My husband ordered my birthday cake from here. We usually order from a bakery in Lynn that closed. He asked for a cake covered in flowers, very colorful and spring like. He picked it up today and there are 3 flowers and the cake is mostly white! I told him to bring it back but then I wouldn't have a cake. I've ordered from here before and not been impressed also they can be very expensive but if the cake is pretty it's well worth it. I would have been better off with a stop and shop cake. So disappointed!

Do not go here! My sister called yesterday asking about a specific cake on their website for my mother's 85th birthday. She was told the cost for was $87. I called today to order the same 8 cake, the charge went up to $117 for the exact same cake. Do not order from here. I will go elsewhere to order a cake. It apparently depends on who the manager is that prices out your order. Very unprofessional. I will never go here to order anything. Unless the manager is in a good mood apparently Do not go to Cakes for Occasions! You will get ripped off.

Our cake was everything I never knew I wanted! My husband and I walked into their bakery with a loose concept of what we imagined our wedding cake would look like and they somehow managed to make that vision come to life. These people are artists! And wedding cake consultant, Rebecca, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Hire them- you will not be disappointed!

We got cupcakes from Cakes for Occasions and could not have been happier! I've been a fan of theirs for awhile and we know our guests would love them. We got a mix of vanilla/chocolate types as well as a selection of their gourmet (read: filled) cupcakes. They even had gluten free! Anytime I need a cake or some cupcakes I'll be coming here!

My aunt ordered a cake for me for my birthday & it was the best cake I've had in a while! Ordered a white cake with strawberry buttercream & fresh strawberries. I'm one who thinks the frosting is the best part and this frosting was perfect! The cake was nice and moist too. Any time I need a cake, I'll be ordering it from here.

I have had some hits and misses with this bake shop. This is the last time they will get my business. I ordered a stranger things cake for my son's birthday. I was very specific about what I wanted, showed pictures, etc. asked if they wanted the pictures said no. I thought their quote was high but I ordered it. I arrived to get my cake, guests arriving shortly and it is not even remotely what I ordered.

They offered to fix the cake and asked if I could come back in a 1/2 hour. I agreed to this, came back and the cake was fixed. They charged me full price and not even a hint of offering a discount for my troubles. If I was the manager/owner I would be horrified at the discrepancy between the order and what was originally presented. Granted the counter girl was nice but come on. I have gotten several cakes here, you lost a six year customer.

I have ordered many cakes from Cakes 4 Occasions over the years, but the most recent one for my daughter-in-law's baby shower was my favorite. I emailed them a screenshot of a confetti cake I saw on Pinterest, and they copied it so beautifully. Amazing! (We bought the animals on Amazon and made the hats.)

Cakes For Occasions is great. Years ago we were going to select a cake for our wedding. Naturally we went there! They asked if we wanted to taste some samples. I said it wasnt necessary. (I got the 'glance' from my husband.like, what was I thinking!) We tried and fell in love with the Opera cake and the yellow one. They offered to make a cake with both.

Our wedding was at the beach, so at the reception hall, we had beach themed items. The cake was decorated beautifully. white sand and seashells (chocolate) It was to die for! They told us on our first anniversary to come back and they gave us a small delicious cake. We go back when we can. Thank you to Cakes For Occasions!

They did my wedding cupcakes back in November and we're still getting comments on how good they were! We also had a couple celebrating their 40th anniversary in attendance, and were able to give them their own little cake as well! Katrina was wonderful and so easy to work with! I can't recommend them enough! Will definitely use them for future events, or when I'm just in the mood for some sweet treats!

I received a surprise birthday cake made by Cakes for Occasions and it was next level decadent and tasty. It was a chocolate opera cake with the gooiest chocolate ganache layer and coffee frosting. It was also beautifully done with a happy birthday message on top. Just presentation alone with gasp-worthy. And the actual cake - amazing. Every bite was perfection. It was so rich that it take us a few days to finish but you better believe we did finish it. I would totally go there for any special occasion in the future.

I ordered a cake for my daughters bridal shower. I wanted a kitchen themed cake and brought in drawings of what I wanted in the cake. They had some helpful suggestions they offered and the cake came out beautiful! White cake with strawberries filling and buttercream frosting. The cake was delicious and moist and made a hit at the shower.

Awful experience with this business! The cake I ordered was damaged upon pick up, the wrong color and the fondant work was choppy and uneven. The cake was not presentable to serve. After speaking to an assistant manager, she would not issue me a refund, stating she didn't have the authority to do so. She assured me that the owner of the business would contact me first thing Tuesday morning (this occurred on the previous Saturday) to follow up and discuss the issue.

I never received a phone call, email or a text message from anyone after that Saturday. I'm wildly disappointed with not only the lack of professionalism from the pastry team, but the management staff.

Really great selection of cakes and other delights. Their chocolate mousse and blueberry topping thingy are especially great. They're doing the cake for my wedding in October and will also do a complimentary top tier of our wedding cake for our one-year anniversary next year. Great service!

It is super clean. Staff promptly help you answering all the questions my cupcake purchase. They also have a huge variety of pastries among other fine deserts. Oh they also do cakes. You have a clear view of the decorating area to see them make the masterpieces come to life.

Bought cupcakes for my friends bachelorette party. Some where chocolate some were vanilla, some had plain vanilla frosting and some had vanilla frosting that were dyed hot pink. Looks wise: so cute! The plain vanilla frosted ones tasted great. The pink frosting however was disgusting. It tasted like chemicals. All 6 girls tried it to make sure it wasn't me and my tastebuds, but everyone had to spit it out, and then I had throw away 7 cupcakes (I got 7 pink ones and 8 white ones.) maybe it was too much food coloring? I was pretty disappointed and such a waste of my money.

I was contemplating on 3 stars because the cake and frosting lacked flavor, the edge of the cake was not soft, and I am put off by any cake that I sense as going into the "hard" direction. I also don't like whipped cream type frosting, which they use, but others really like it. Not terrible, just plain. However, their decor is spot on. Great puppy and kitty decorations on the cupcakes and beautiful blue roses for my birthday cake. Decor was wonderful, I can't say that enough. Great job.

I was VERY surprised a business like this would not respond to my email or my yelp review. I can't understand why a business would not want to rectify a bad experience to try to have a customer come back. Repeat guests are like gold. I do have 3 kids and cakes are very important. You should want to treat your guest like they are important. Because they are. Goes to show you some people don't have the right business ethic to take care of their guests.

As someone who deals with people daily working in pharmacy and also waitressing. I know the importance of not making a mistake and rectifying a bad situation. Just a shame.because it has been four months.no word from them.no apology.and I'm still very upset about what had happened. Even the good reviews won't sway me because no one reached out.and there are just as many bad ones. And trust me. I hate leaving a bad review.
