Amazing! If you are lucky enough to work with Nicole, please know that everything is handled and she can answer any question you have. I asked how long the walk was to the fountain and this angel of a woman walked it and timed it! She made it easy to work with the hotel bookings without us having to do a single thing. I swear she's magic. She not only made herself available for any (all) the times we started to spiral, but periodically checked in when we fell off the face of the earth.
My bridesmaids planned a last minute surprise and needed some assistance. Again, Nicole was there! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, affordable, and will work with you on your needs. Our guests were exploring the grounds and really loved everything. We got a lot of feedback calling it "perfect." The food was AMAZING, all our guests agreed and commented on it.
Any reviews that say otherwise are beyond help. I am skeptical by nature about hidden fees and trickery, but their package/contract is straight forward. Staff was attentive, but not annoyingly so. We rented out the Fountain Cafe for after hour pizza and the bartender curated the music-he was good-humored and had us all in stitches the way he rolled with our antics. We had a blast.

Fancy place decent food but they have no considerations at all. They have a minimum our party was very small. We asked them to leave out the food so we could continue to eat at our leisure. We really didn't want to waste all the tenderloin and lobster, they don't allow doggy bags. Yet once they served dessert they cleared all the other food in the buffet, throwing away at least a dozen lobster tails and a whole tenderloin. The place wastes so much it's insulting. I do not recommend this place.

Perfect, safe, and clean hotel about 10 mins outside of salem. easy to find & plenty of parking. the rooms were modern and clean. comfortable queen size bed with desk and stand up shower. room had a fridge and a kureig. nice staff & easiest.quickest check in ever. the front desk has snacks and beer to buy. there is also a bar/cafe in the main area. they have an elevator, but the place is only 4 floors. great price for room too, we paid $120 for a thurs night. easy for ubers to find the hotel too.

I was the photographer for a wedding at Tupper Manor in the fall. It was a beautiful evening wedding and such a stunning space. The bridal suite and pool room made for great photographs of the couple getting ready and even though it was a little too cold to venture down to the water, the inside of the manor and the exterior made for some gorgeous night photos.
The staff were fantastic during set up and flipping the spaces between the ceremony and reception but also fantastic at anticipating the needs of the guests, couple and us as vendors! Definitely a fantastic wedding venue!

My sister had her beautiful wedding here! The food was yummy, coordinators were on the ball, and the bridal suite was such a nice place to get ready! They had some issues with the microphones not working properly for speeches but that was minor! Loved being able to stay at the Wylie inn and just walk next door.

Staying at the Wylie Inn for a wedding but would not return. The convenience for the wedding venue is good but the room for 3 was tiny They brought in am air mattress which collapsed in the middle of the night and no clue how to re-inflate There is no powder creamer for the coffee maker which was hard to operate. Chintzy on towel distribution only 1 garbage can in the room which was in the bathroom other family members stayed at the Springhill Suites Marriott nearby because they could not get a room at the sold out Wylie They said they had a pool and hot tub, big suite for two with separate couch area and warm cookies. Yes, they had to drive 20 minutes to and from the wedding but just wanted to give folks review to help decide these things. Bottom Line: you pay for location

Wow what a disappointment. This Inn looked super cute from the outside and we were so excited to stay here while moving my sister into Endicott College because the location was hugely convenient. However, after just ONE night we canceled our booking and moved across town to a different hotel (that's how bad it was). First of all, we were astounded to find out that the "suite" we had booked was just a normal room with a wall down the middle (the wall also had windows in which was weird) making what was supposed to be the "bedroom" literally big enough to fit the bed wall to wall.
There was also no privacy due to the large and random window in the wall. I would barely call this room a suite. Secondly, the hotel claims the bed was a queen bed, however, it was definitely just a full. Thirdly, there were 3 of us which meant one of us would have to sleep on the pull out couch. We opened it up and noticed no sheets were even on it after we were assured at the front desk that sheets were already in the room.
We called down for sheets and made the bed ourselves then tried to lie on it to discover it was completely unbearable. The mattress was so thin and springy that not only was it uncomfortable but physically painful. I have never experienced a pull out sofa so terrible in a hotel. We called down to the front desk to complain and they said they would bring up the cot.
After a few minutes there was a knock on the door with an AIR MATTRESS. We were paying almost $250 a night to SLEEP ON AN AIR MATTRESS. I couldn't believe it (and the air mattress deflated multiple times in the middle of the night!). We asked for another duvet for the air mattress since all the blankets we had been given were itchy waffle blankets that were so used that they were full of holes and extremely shredded.
They brought up a duvet insert WITHOUT THE COVER! How DISGUSTING and what TERRIBLE service! If all this isn't enough to turn you away from staying here, the shower floor was yellow, the sink didn't drain, and the couch was full of stains. Disgusting, overpriced place and will certainly not be returning.

What a beautiful place! We just attended a wedding here and it was great! The staff was friendly and always around. Dinner was served quickly and was so delicious. The building has a few different rooms which was neat, the grounds are very well kept and there is a hotel right there for out of town guests.

This was a wonderful stay for us. My son & I had booked on Priceline, where they don't ask bed preferences, and we had one double bed. The woman at check in said there were no 2 bed options available, but gave us a king, which worked well. Then when we were going to dinner she gave us a recommendation for one of the best meals I've had in recent memory, and another great idea for the next day. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean, and the setting is amazing. If I ever find myself in the area again, I'll be back.

I waited 1hour and 45 minutes to check-in, arriving at my room just an hour before the wedding ceremony. I and many others we're repeatedly told that the linen truck was late. As a place that has accommodated for many events this was unacceptable. I did not receive compensation for the inconvenience and barely got an apology. It is very convenient to be staying close to your event but The Wylie has to do some reflection on how they deliver service and treat guests.

Stayed here for a wedding. Hotel charged me a "discount rate" of $220 a night, despite the fact that going online rate at check in was $140. Refused to change my rate or allow me to cancel and rebook when I realized this and called, despite eventually doing just this for others in my wedding group at check-in for the same style room. Shower curtain was extremely moldy, sheets were ripped, A/C unit did not work properly, bed was made so improperly we had to pull all the sheets off to remake it ourselves. Cucumber water in the lobby was pretty good.

I've only written one yelp review in my life, but after staying at this house of horrors for a wedding last weekend I felt like it was my civic duty to warn others about this terrible place. First of all, the room I booked in the wedding block was $260 a night while the rate for anyone just randomly walking in was $140--still WAY more expensive than this place should actually charge.
We were there for two nights so we spent over $500 plus taxes for the whole weekend and I can safely say that it was the worst $500 we've ever spent. When I asked the manager about this absurd discrepancy she told me that it was somehow more expensive because we had booked in advance and there was no way we could adjust the price. This made absolutely no sense to me, especially considering that usually when you book a block of rooms for your wedding your guests get a discounted rate.
Upon walking into our extremely small room my husband and I were immediately overcome by the smell of mold coming out of the air conditioner. The smell was so arresting that it took about 15 minutes for us to succumb to the inevitability of the odor, and look to see what else the Wylie had in store for us. I think that the best words here are outdated, cheap, and unclean.
From the curtains to the hairdryer everything looked as though it was fished out of a dumpster behind 1980s Motel 6. The TV looked fairly new, but alas, it had the minimum amount of channels and each one somehow needed a different volume. I have no idea how they managed this. Finally, I will leave you with a quote from my husband that really sums up the overall experience: "Hey look! There is dirt on the wall!"

Stayed over 2 nights for a wedding. Unfortunately it is extremely over priced for a small room that lets a lot of light and noise in. AC in the room didn't get cold enough or allow you to keep it turned on. No breakfast included. Very nice service from the from desk and the rooms were very clean but just so ridiculously overpriced. We had to book our room through he bridal party hotel block, which was over $200 a night, but when checking later on Priceline, a room was $180 a night! We could have saved almost a hundred dollars for 2 nights. How can there be such a huge discrepancy? Not fair to people who are attending a wedding, not paying for it.

Given a key to a room that was occupied. Extremely unprofessional on their part and very embarrassing for us. This experience alone speaks for the rating. BUT-just to add icing on the cake when we got into a different room the sheets weren't even on the bed completely. They were too small to even cover the mattress. Pretty disgusting. Obviously, I wholeheartedly do not recommend this.

Had wanted to try this hotel for a while, and was able to secure a great rate through Priceline for a Queen room. Upon checking in late afternoon, at first glance our room appeared to be in good condition. However, we quickly saw that there were a few things left behind from the previous guest and that the room was not truly ready for us. The manager on duty quickly acted to get us into another room, and was very apologetic.
He upgraded us to a larger King size room which was very nice on his part. We enjoyed the room; it was spacious and had a very comfortable king size bed with quality linens. We are quite picky about beds and bedding, and this met with our approval. The room was clean and well appointed. I would suggest this as a nice place to spend a night if you happen to be on the North Shore.

My Wife and I Stayed in the Hotel side of Wylie after having our wedding at their wedding venue in the Tupper Manor building. The Review for the wedding venue side can be seen here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/tupper-manor-beverly?hrid=bxnSzFmI2ffKkYxTQSwrPA The Inn side is much larger once you're inside, as the outside leads you to believe it is much smaller.
The room was pretty standard for a 3 star hotel, I'd equate it to staying at a Fairfield Inn or Comfort inn, very basic. The Breakfast area is a one man show and has only a few offerings, the gentleman running it the morning we ate there was nice and hospitable, the food wasn't bad. The Inn has nice views if you take a walk outside, although the view from our room was of the parking lot.

There are so many great reasons to get married here! The venue is beautiful, the food is SPECTACULAR, and guest accommodations are directly on-site. The event venue is picturesque and offers the best scenery for photos and video. I was truly happy with everything listed above. Tupper Manor has everything you need to create a 5 star wedding. In my opinion, the Inn has a lot of work to do in order to catch up to the event space.
There seems to be a disconnect between the two. For example, I was disappointment to find that only 1 front desk agent was working a sold out night with 3 wedding parties on-site. (I know this because I was told there were 2 other wedding parties aside from my own that had blocked off rooms at the inn.) This creates aggravation, not only for the guests, but for the front desk agent I'm sure.
There was another review, that mentioned the feeling of being "bait and switched." (you can find this review under the "Tupper Manor" page on Yelp.) I couldn't agree more with this statement. Based on what I know, there seems to be a lot of staff turnover (at least in the last year.) Our sales manager and event manager are no longer with Tupper Manor/Wylie Inn.
I trusted the information provided to me when we booked and throughout the planning process, I was disappointed to discover that important details were not communicated internally OR communicated and not executed on our wedding day. I won't get into the small details here, but based on my personal experience, it appears this place is a wedding factory and the staff/management can easily forget that for us, this is our one and only wedding day.
I am confident anyone who falls in love with Tupper Manor/ Wylie Inn, should get married here. We were very happy with the banquet staff and food! Despite my personal experience, I have read amazing reviews. Problems (large or small) will arise no matter where you decide to get married, but it's how the management team handles your problem that will make the difference and that's where they missed the mark. This is a major factor that differentiates 3 star versus 5 star service.

My wife and I were traveling to Bar Harbor from Boston and found this hotel through a Price Line last minute deal (we were scheduled to stay at the Red Roof in Salem but this place was $5 more and closer to our destinations). Check in was quick and easy; parking was free and the hotel is next to a conference center with a beautiful fountain on the main lawn.
The room is designed for one person and comparable to a Club Quarters (i.e., the bed is full/queen size, no bath tub, TV is about 26). The hotel was very empty and quiet for a Sunday night. No breakfast but parking is free, as is wi fi. Free coffee available (via Keurig) and there is an on-site restaurant that serves booze and breakfast (we did not try it, however).
There is also a beach behind the property, but we did not have time to check it out. The property is about a 5-10 min drive from Beverly and Salem, which offers a number of restaurants and taverns as well as history on the witch trials. Overall, nothing too special.better than the Red Roof, clean and comfy for one night, and a good stop if you are traveling northwards and don't mind staying out in the 'burbs.

When I first found out I was attending a company workshop here, I wasn't too thrilled. I kept lamenting the fact it wasn't in Boston. But after having spent a few days there, I had a change of heart. First off, the Wylie Inn is located in a beautiful part of Massachusetts. I was there right as autumn was starting to get chilly. The foliage and crisp air made for a great atmosphere.
As for the rooms, they had exactly what they needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were easy to sleep on and the showers were hot with lots of pressure. I could speak to the conference center section, but it would mostly have to do with the abundance of food that was available during the whole workshop. I'm pretty sure most of the food options were catered by the Inn itself.
Being vegan, I didn't think I'd have much to eat but there were always vegan options provided and they were pretty good. So if you're planning one of these events, or are attending one at the Wylie Inn, you're in for a pleasant surprise.

Finding the Wylie Inn and Conference Center can be a little tricky! Located on the campus of Endicott College, the beautiful inn blends a little too well with the rest of the conference center and other facilities that surround it. I used a livery service to get here and the driver who took me here as well as brought me back to the airport had one heck of time finding the front door! Indeed, I had to jump out of the car at one point and speak to an employee before getting to the entrance.
Even funnier was watching the driver who came to take me to the airport circle the lot over and over again before finally seeing my frantic motions to come in my direction. Still, all things considered this is a nice place to stay. While the rooms reflect a sensible and compact use of space, they amenities are modern and in good condition. Upon further reflection, I'd love to visit here in Autumn when the leaves are turning or perhaps early June. The fountain, along with the lake side local make for a beautiful setting. The food here is excellent, and the service is above standard. Indeed, this is a very good inn!
