Party Fair

If this establishment stays in business I'd be surprised! The employees are so rude and clearly hate their job. Just walking in the door you feel disrespected. They were talking bad about the owner and the customers right in front of our faces. Rushing to leave, rushing customers out the store with 30 minutes to spare. Im sorry I had to spend money here.

I really hate giving bad reviews to businesses, but the owner of this party store is very very rude. No customer service & doesn't take into consideration a world-wide pandemic.

Rudest people i've ever seen. the lady i'm pretty sure her name is Diane is so rude and has zero customer service what so ever. my sister was going to pick up balloons and misheard the lady and the lady yelled at her for literally no reason. this place is horrible and very expensive, you're better off going to a party city.

Bad customer service. Purchased invitations and realized they were blank inside. Wanted something that I could just fill in the invitation. I called and asked if I can bring them back and exchange for a different one. They said "NO". Ok whatever but they were very pricey. now I can't use them as there are to many to have to hand wrote everything out. Name, church address, , date, and address for the party after. Will not be returning here

I got what I needed thanks to the nice gentleman who helped me change my first selection that was way too pricey for the unicorn themed birthday items. The woman in there has an awful attitude and the worst customer service. There was some advertisement for half off designed prints for plates, cups etc. and she was yelling at me that they weren't applicable to the ones I picked, how the hell would I know what is applicable If the sign is just hanging in the aisle? Apparently the sign only referred to some Hawaiian themed set! It's not worth the trouble for the prices, if you have an alternative place to go then do that.

This is the worst place I've ever given business to. I bought a 15 dollar balloon that was supposed to sing and didn't ever work. The manager said she'd replace the balloon when the party was already over. I asked for a refund, not even for the whole purchase just for the broken balloon. She blamed me and was rude and condescending and a total tyrant. Said it was working when I left the store when it wasn't. DO NOT GO HERE. I've never written a bad Yelp review but this experience pushed me. Will be posting on google too. DON'T use them unless you want to be treated terribly. Go somewhere else! You'll regret it.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! I went to party fair today which is out the way because party city is closer trying to support small businesses at a time like this and about ten minutes into shopping one of the inbred twins started to stalk my family at one point just standing right behind my 2yrs with her hand on her hip. My partner turns and says like idk if your following us but we dont need any help, the lady says ok and walks off -_- smh she was really aggressive and seemed upset. I will not be returning

The service at this store is horrendous! People are rude and act as though they are doing you a favor and the prices aren't great. Unfortunately the location is convenient. The woman who may be the owner or manger is extremely obnoxious and seems like she hates people who are different than her.

The customer service in this place is horrible. I got to the store around 9:20am and the lady rudely pointed to the time to hint that they did not open up until 9:30am. I waited until 9:30 and went to the door, and it was locked. The lady approached and told me that they couldn't open the store until they turned the lights on. How outrageous is that.

She was trying to be spiteful. Once in the store they gave me a lot of attitude and were just FLAT OUT RUDE! I got what I needed which were the same balloons I purchased a week ago for my daughter's party and the sales rep did not know the price, so the two of them started creating prices off of the top of their heads. They told me they were 6 for $3.99, and I told them that I purchased the same balloons for 15 cents each last week, and asked why the price went up.

I was told that they are better quality. That was an absolute lie. They were the same exact balloons with the same exact quality. This place will not get any more money from me!

This store is decent. Note that if you are getting a specific balloon with an age on it, it only has the first 18 years and the major milestone years. Don't depend on it have your age. The store has lots of items that are good for horror decoration / Halloween decoration.

I went to Party Fair today with my three children ( ages 2,5,6). From the MOMENT I walked in the door I was followed by an employee up and down two aisles. This was after she asked if I needed help and I said no. I was looking for a theme both the big kids could agree on for a trick or treat table we had to decorate. So we decided the best way to agree was once we saw everything.

We decided on a justice league theme and proceeded to fill our cart. An employee (a different one) stood behind me the ENTIRE time again. Next, we circled back to grab some extra items I needed to complete the table decorations. We stopped for a second to look at the party favors and ( yet another new employee) talked directly to my 2 year old saying, " you better not rip that." Mind you nothing was ripped at all.

I told him that we were followed and treated in a manner that our business was unwanted from the moment we walked into the store. I put every item back, in its original place, the $100 worth of merchandise we had in our cart. No wonder the store is empty. Never going again.

Worst party store ever the staff extremely rude so expensive for party stuff you can find the same stuff in different stores for cheaper price plus better treatment please don't go there

It's amazing all the different costumes and party products this store offers and has in stock. There are aisles and aisles of things for all kinds of parties and for all ages. I asked an employee for something I was looking for and she knew exactly where it was. She was very friendly and I was in and out of the store within a few minutes. The prices are not the least expensive but they are not the most expensive. Overall a positive experience.

This store has the worst customer service. Not only is the store old and outdated, but it is also extremely overpriced. Worst of all though, is the rude and unprofessional customer service. Do not go here. You can find cheaper prices on the same items on amazon, target, oriental trading, and many other places. Management is terrible.

Staff is rude beyond compare. This morning I simply called for a "welcome home" sign and the staff was so unbearable that I hung up. Absolutely no regard or common human decency- even over the phone! PLUS I called at 9:45, a mere 15 minutes after they opened. How do you ALREADY have a bad mood and a nasty attitude? This is not the first time the women have been horrible, but I expected more in the morning.

They are lucky that there are not too many other party fairs in the area and people are compelled to come here out or convenience. Trust me, if you have a choice, DO NOT come here.

Worst customer service and manager. Purchased over $50 of Party items for my child's party and decided to return some items (valued $10) the next day. The manager gave me issues returning. As a result I returned all the items(values$50) and will never stop at Party Fair in East Brunswick NJ. Lost a long time customer at this store and will now shop at Party City.

The people that work here are extremely rude. They should not be in the customer service industry. The elderly woman with the bowl cut haircut should not be running this place. She has no manners and is incredibly rude alongside her young high school staff. They need to be under new management and hire decent people.

Great selection of things, however some of the managers and workers are the nastiest human beings on the face of the planet. Just because their life is miserable, we don't need to deal with it.

They are all rude and have zero customer service skills. They charged me for balloon and I explained I needed it to be table height. After I already made my transaction she told me to pick a weight. So I did and she said okay I will write the slip, I said no, no I paid! Because I thought it was included in what I had already purchased. The girl behind the counter asked the manager about it and she said it was extra.

I said but I explained what I needed why did nobody ask me while I was paying because I did not want to charge $2.00 for this. After excusing her team for being young, I asked well are you the manager? She said yes, I said that is no way to run your business. She just kept saying, what, excuse me? I walked out with a very large balloon for my daughters gift table that needed to be taped because they do not know how to communicate. I was already warned to not go into this store.

I made an order for a banner for a holiday party. A proof was sent over to approve the order, which I responded promptly to make sure Adam would have the banner ready in time. The order was placed 5 days ahead of the party. On Sunday, when I went to pick up the banner I was appalled to find out that there was no banner. The woman working there handled the situation very rudely and claimed that I had not approved the banner in time for it to be printed.

They were unable to refund me that day. I returned a few days later to receive my refund and I got my money back but the lady refused to apologize for their mistake. I will not be returning to this Party Fair.

SLOW SLOW SLOW! Eat your breakfast, bring a book and a pillow to take a nap while you wait. Completely unorganized and NO sense of urgency! You get balloons for an event you have THAT DAY, we cannot spend an hour + on line waiting for them! Be considerate of your customers time frame!

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This is my first review I have ever written and hopefully the last. I use to shop here for years for my DJ business. I was a regular customer spending 100's and 100's of dollars annually. By accident I over booked some items from Party Fair for a private event I was hired to do. A day later I returned to the store to return some items, (It was around $40 of products) Right away a very good employee who rang me up the day before recognized me and informed me "a manager would have to approve the returns without a receipt" which unfortunately I did not have.

The receipt was not an itemized receipt it was just numbers and tax per item but not listing the specific item. All the items I was returning were in their original packaging with the Party Fair price stickers still on each item. The items I was returning also met the requirements posted on their very own website. The very second I was greeted to the manager I was faced with the most negative attitude I have ever seen on one person.

I have seen her before and I know she recognized me. Before I can even finish my intentions she cut me off and told me she can not give any refund without a receipt. I asked why, She replied I do not know if you paid cash or credit. I pointed to the clerk who helped me out the day before, he said to the manager that yes I paid for those items the day before in cash.

She then insisted I can not get a refund because for all she knows I bought them at another store. I pointed to each item and showed them the Party Fair price tags. She replied it could of been another Party Fair. The manager made me feel very petty. Why is the receipt such a big deal when it is not even an itemized receipt? She could not give me an answer to that one.

If this is how she treats her regular customers I can only imagine how she treats someone she does not recognize. An employees words who vowed for me to his boss gave no credit to her. Her attitude and non professional manor is the entire reason I write this review. I will never shop here again for my business needs and I suggest you do the same. Very very poor customer relations.

You will find everything you need for your party here all in one place including balloons. but you're going to pay! It's a very big store packed with party supplies! Actually it's pretty impressive to have a store of this size just dedicated to parties. Really you can find anything here. I went here to get party supplies for my father who turned 90 years old.

I actually had a choice of different plates and napkins with the number 90 on it. Obviously I would not find these specific items anywhere else. Another thing is they have party balloons here, and they do them on the spot! No need to call ahead and reserve. In fact you can pick out the exact balloons you want. Just can't beat this, very convenient.

Any party you can think of you can find supplies here for, including Mardi Gras's, princess party anything. My issue with this store is the prices. Yes I certainly expect to pay a premium for this convenience. I also know that you can find what you need here. Really the store should have 4 stars due to a high premium price. But honestly some prices here are outrageous, forcing me to lower them 2 stars.

For example if you want a certain color drinking cup, let's say red to match your party supplies, the price here is way higher than at a grocery or club store. They really mark up the napkins, plates and cups much higher than necessary. Of course this place is recommended if you are throwing a party and you want to get everything at one place and have the best selection and best success in finding what you need.

Great place for party needs! Only negative is the dismissive, arrogant red-headed, middle-aged owner or sales manager who runs the front. Store would be much improved if she lost the attitude and actually lost the mono-syllabic, rude responses she gives to customers. Maybe this is just an area thing, but unpleasant to deal with.

I had the worst experience there today! I arrived 5 minutes after the ballon counter was closed. I was told that I could not order balloons, meanwhile there were 6 employees just standing around and doing NOTHING! The manager was a complete B. she turned the lights out in the aisle I was in, as I was shopping. I always go there for my party needs, but never again! BTW as I was leaving another lady came in just for balloons and was turned away. In one day they lost two orders. I guess that's the difference between owning the store and just being a manager.

Don't waste your time here. RUDE, rude, rude. You'd think waiting on a customer was part of their job.well no one told them. First time here.last time here. Go to Party City and save yourself the agony of dealing with these people.

This is our go to place for cards for any occasion. A lot cheaper than any Hallmark store. A huge selection of party good and seasonal holiday decorations and supplies. If you order balloons here, be prepared to have to get the attention of one of the girls that work here. You will stand at the counter to get your order and it will be 20 minutes before one of them decides to ask if you need any help!
