Ocean Isle Inn

A beautiful get away if your looking for a peaceful beach trip. Our first time to ocean isle and the people here were so friendly. Before you book make sure if you want ocean view it doesn't say island view. Island view rooms do not have balcony's and is just a view of the "island" not much to see. The beds are very comfortable! Breakfast was good. Bagels, toast, waffles, yogurt, cereal and a few more things. I will be back

We actually stayed in Bali by the stairs and had a wonderful time! Fran in breakfast is amazing everything is clean and restocked before anyone would Even get a chance to say it needed attention she is friendly and has the best attitude! Everyone was great and helpful Kim at front desk has such a great attitude as well! The location is perfect for all groups but especially families it's quiet and relaxing.

The hotels mattress is very comfortable which isn't the case most of the time so kudos for that as well! And the choices for it being a continental breakfast were a great variety as well we brought four kids and everyone found something they loved! Thank you for a wonderful weekend we leave tomorrow sadly!

This place was overall, very grand and nice. Has both an indoor and outdoor pool, which was bordering the beach. There was a hot tub indoors as well, and a grassy area with a gazebo next to the outdoor pool. The rooms are tidy and efficient. Everything is in well order, and has regular cleaning service. Staircase and elevator, and different rooms grouped into one space (Maui, etc.) Breakfast room with a variety of options; waffles and oatmeal and cereal, as well as coffee and creamers and whipped cream and maple syrup. The whole inn is practically next to the beach, and is perfect and ideal for those visiting Ocean Isle.

The location on the beach made the hotel worth while. The unit in the Bali area was not close to my expectations, especially after reading most of the reviews. The hotel has a mildew smell and the screens in the windows had holes preventing us from airing the room out. The air conditioning unit was very loud and obnoxious. When I went to inquire about a room change the staff did not bother to look into my request nor offer accommodations.

Upon checking out I showed the staff proof of the disturbance and nothing was done. Again the location to the beach is perfect and the pool towels were very convenient but that is all. We did not have breakfast because we did not sleep well but others reviewed it as good. Do not get the room beside the stairs 3 star hotel at best.

We loved our stay here! The shower was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel and I travel A LOT. The price was right. Nice heated indoor pool, very short walk to beach, just out the door and past the outdoor pool, very nice rocking chairs on balcony; I could go on and on. I definitely would stay here again. Keep up the good work, y'all and hopefully see you next Spring!

Best hotel I've ever stayed in! My husband and I booked a spur of the moment quick 2 day trip and We will definitely stay again. A lot can be said for a nice, quality, CLEAN, hotel! I was so impressed with how clean I started inspecting things I never look at just to see. No dust or dirt anywhere- not even on the tops of the headboard or the box that covers the top of the curtains.

Yes it's a tad outdated but honestly for what a great place this is I could care less about that. The beds were comfortable! We wanted an ocean view but it is ok.we booked from a third party site so not upset at all. The staff- SO FRIENDLY! Especially the young man who checked us in and the lady working the breakfast area. Breakfast was nice they had waffle makers, beagles, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, cereal, juice, coffee, and milk- the normal stuff. I can't go in with how impressed I am with this place! I hope all the staff know what a wonderful job they are doing here!

Loved my stay at this pretty Inn! The staff was very kind and the front desk so helpful too! I even forgot two things in my room and when I called, they checked the lost and found right away and called me back! They agreed to send it to me.so nice! Also the room was very clean and tide, even with a microwave! A special makeup towel too. Would go back anytime again! Thank you so much!

Really small room and you can hear everything (thin walls) but to that we stayed 2nights 3 days it wasn't alot of traffic(loved that) so not so bad on the noise factor. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable and the view was even better. If you want a nice, relaxed quite place to say to put away your cares.this is it! The drive to Myrtle Beach is a little less than an hour for some action

We were looking for only a one night hotel with beach access and ocean view during winter and this one had a good price. We were not interested in the amenities, however the next day we had a good experience with breakfast included with a lot of options as cereal, yogurt, pancakes, bagels, coffee, tea and juice. Good service and everything clean. The pool is small but was very clean and with access to the beach.

The room was outdated and with rusted door handles but clean and free of odors. The beds were clean and comfortable. Shower handle loose and rusted but bathroom clean. In general we had a good experience except for at our arrival the person in the front desk send us to a different room that the one we reserved online and we needed to return to the front desk from one side of the hotel to the other one with the all of our bags to be reassigned to the correct room. All of this without receiving an excuse for the inconvenience or a nice attention. When you arrive at night and tired you don't want to deal with this inconveniences.

Came down for a quick 2 day trip in the middle of the week. Front desk was very helpful and courteous. Room was clean and tidy, and ocean front view was great. Continental breakfast was fine for a quick morning snack and drink. Overall very happy with the experience and would recommend for anyone looking for a simple room on the beach

Great ocean or sound view rooms with 2 Queens or 1 king bed. Full bathroom and living room, small wet bar with fridge, coffee pot and microwave. Plenty of amenities to replace anything you forgot, free breakfast and pool. Walking distance to great restaurants and attractions, so top all that with friendly, helpful staff and excellent cleanliness of all areas and you have the perfect vacation!

I stayed here over New Year's weekend, and have stayed here before several times over the years. It has everything I've needed: small fridge, microwave, breakfast bar, as well as indoor & outdoor pools. Ocean-view rooms are available at an upcharge. It's been clean & quiet when I've been there (only in winter). My room had 2 queens. My friend was in a King room. Her room cost more.

Rooms are clean but definitely dated. The pool smelt super bad and the jacuzzi was super small and also smelt bad. Like dirty feet smell. Breakfast was great though they had a lot to choose from.

This was an amazing stay for me and my husband! The beach access was great, the indoor and outdoor pool was great for the fact that if it was busy in one pool we just went to the other. rooms need a little update but the beds were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on, no exaggeration! It was by far the most relaxing trip I've ever been on!

Cute clean inn located directly on the beach. We booked an ocean facing room. It came with a balcony, 2 rocking chairs and a wonderful view of the sunrise and sunset. Everyone we encountered on Ocean Isle was super friendly. Had a great time and can't wait to come back!

Rooms were neat and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Due to COVID-19, no maid service so you put the trash out and the used towels they are then collected and the towels are replaced. Good experience.

I have stayed here two times and going for a third in December for New Years. It is a peaceful location and close to restaurants and shops. The rooms are comfortable. They provide breakfast. Unfortunately, it isn't a buffet because of covid but still food! They are extremely helpful, even late at night, there for you if you need anything.

Ocean Isle Inn was very accommodating and clean! We really enjoyed our stay and interaction with most of the staff! All was great except for the rude attitude of the lady who drives the blue motorcycle that works at the front desk! "Sorry our cart was in the WRONG SPOT" at 9 o'clock at night however this could of been handled in a more professional manner! We refuse to let the actions of one influence our return for future stays!

This was our first time in Ocean Isle. This was our family vacation, and we mistakenly booked for 2 adults, instead of 5 (we have teenagers). So we were 1 bed short. The front office attendant was amazing! She was super friendly, and very helpful. We were able to rent a cot, which was great. I cannot tell you enough how nice and helpful this woman was that helped us. She was just awesome! We love this place and will make this our yearly go to.

When checking in we were not told that housekeeping was not done anymore. After three nights we asked if we could get nee towels & asked what to do with the room trash we had collected. Ww also needed toilet paper, new trash bags. We were told at that time that there was no housekeeping services available unless we provide a 24 hour advanced request. Are you serious?

How do guests know this if no one communicates it to them? I spoke to 4 other guests today & they said no one explained this to them either. The front desk staff was rude, very rude. There is no discount for the rooms even though room service is not offered. I slipped in the pool area on the wood & fell. I told a staff member it had something very slippery on it & to have the manager Lee call me but no one ever did.

I asked if we could do a late check out due to a flight change & was told because they need to get in to clean the room they cannot accommodate me. What room cleaning. It doesn't seem to get done often. I'm amazed at how much they just don't care to accommodate their guests. Will never stay here again.

Stopped for a night on our drive north. Absolutely great location, right on the ocean. We had a third floor room and our balcony looked over the outdoor pool and the short walk to the ocean. It even had two rocking chairs! Friendly staff but no masks, just behind plexiglas. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Walls are somewhat thin, we could hear the people in the room next door. Cannot beat the location.

We had a terrible stay at this place. The rooms are old and dirty. They do not keep management on site during the weekends. And the worse part is we saw a roach crawling up the wall (see photo). We took a photo and called the front desk about the matter. They offered to move us to another room after 2am, instead of offering us our money back and letting us leave.

We are very clean ppl and do not have and have never had roaches in our home, so this was a disgusting disgrace to us. When we stay in a hotel, we expect comfort & cleanliness; we got neither! We had nowhere us to go; and the thought of moving all of our belongings to another room, getting settled in that room by 3am, and then seeing another roach, would have been even more awful!

If you have roaches in one room you have them in all rooms! I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. I was afraid a roach would crawl on my face or something. When the manager Lee Shapiro finally called us back a half a week later, he spoke to us with no compassion or consideration of our stay at all. First he admitted over the phone that roaches are common for their area; then later when we asked for our money back, in an email he stated basically the roach had to have been brought into the room by us, because they have their "roach motel" professionally exterminated. Don't take any chances with staying at this place. Please find somewhere else. If you do decide to stay, you better bring a can of RAID with you! And by the way, the front desk staff (Mallory, etc.) did not wear face mask!

We were looking for a weekend getaway and stumbled across this gem. It's a bit dated but rooms are clean with basic amenities. Friendly staff. Due to COVID, daily maid service is currently not available and the complimentary breakfast is prepackaged ready-to-eat (or heat) foods to bring back to room. Hotel has indoor/outdoor pools easy access to beach and/or short walk to nearby attractions (OIB Pier, Coastal Carolina, Children's Playground, miniature golf, restaurants and businesses). Great location for families. The only downside is the sand--it gets everywhere! All in all great value. We hope to return again in the near future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in September. We have returned to OIB for the past few years because of this hotel's attention to grounds, cleanliness and friendly staff. We are able to truly enjoy ourselves and relax. We will see you again in 2021!

Super clean! Staff polite & helpful. Room not fancy but worked great- very straight forward. Booking was easy- we were a last minute reservation & they accommodate us very well. Hotel close to everything. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place right on the ocean. Friendly staff, clean rooms and nice breakfast included in the price. Beautiful outdoor pool in the summer but a cozy heated indoor pool also with a hot tub!

Our room is nice. Nicer than expected for the price. Hotel is well located. Only reason I gave it 2 stars is for the poor customer service. We checked into the hotel with a woman who was very nice. Then we went to our room and BEFORE entering it we decided we wanted to upgrade to a room with an oceanfront view. So we went back to the office and asked a different woman (other lady was gone) and she told us the only way to upgrade was by contacting booking.com (we made the reservation through them). Entered our room for all of about 10 minutes when Bookings called the front desk for us.

They were told that we could not switcH rooms because we had already checked-in. I've never had an issue switching to a more expensive room ever in my life before. needless to say, We're stuck with what we got.

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel but I was surprised! The staff is SUPER nice, the hotel have the best location! The property and decoration is a little bit old but that's not something that bothers me, my room was large and it was very clean! I'll totally stay there again!

Super friendly staff. Nicest lady working the breakfast bar. The housekeeper was more than happy to come clean our room after we said no thank-you and then changed our minds. So easy to walk to everything. Pool was great, beach was great!

The view is gorgeous. That's about all the good I have to say about this place. I left my "Service" tag on the doorknob one day and they must of thought it said "Privacy" because my room didn't get cleaned that day. I had to check out 2 days early and they wouldn't refund those 2 days to me. I have never had that happen before. The free breakfast wasn't worth the price of free.

So sorry to leave this review. Had they refunded me two days, the other things wouldn't have mattered. So now they will book the room and get twice the price. Try somewhere else. The whole place could use an update.

We love this place. We stay here every time we go to Ocean Isle Beach, NC. We enjoy the oceanfront king room that has everything we need. The hotel manager is the nicest guy who did such a wonderful job with our elopement. The rooms are clean and right on the beach with a fabulous view of the ocean. The employees are sweet and greet you with a friendly smile.

We love the breakfast included with our room. They have a waffle machine, fruit loops and other cereals, milk, juices, yogurt, and lots of pastries. It is within walking distance to the Annual Oyster Festival where parking and traffic are dreadful. We simple walk to the festival and enjoy the festivities. I highly recommend Ocean Isle Inn.

Quaint place to stay right on the beach! The view from my room was spectacular at sunrise! Definitely a place I'd come back to stay when I'm in the area.

We stayed at the Ocean Isle Inn for a one-night stay. The room was very accommodating for our needs. The front desk clerk was super friendly and gave us the best rate available. Our room was clean. It was ocean front. Parking was convenient. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I'm glad we landed here.

We stayed in an oceanfront king room and loved our entire stay! Rooms were clean and bed was sooooo comfy! We loved how close to the ocean we were and left the patio door open at night just to hear the ocean waves. Only con is the really tight parking. Would love to stay here again!

Pros: Super close to the beach, private oceanfront view, more parking than other hotels in the area. They give you a permit for parking, clean room, comfy bed. Cons: Carpet in hallways leading to rooms- Beach, and carpet do not mix. Small area for trying to make meals in the room, lots of stairs. I believe we were in Java which was the far end of the hotel.

More walking than I care do to do get on the beach with all the gear, no stove/oven in rooms makes it hard with little options for resturants in walking/biking distance. I feel like you get more for you money at the Winds.

Pro's: Hotel was nice. Rooms were clean. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good but semi-limited. Con's: (1) Minimal buffer between rooms. We could here people talking and other tv's, furniture moving, people walking on upper levels. Definitely not conducive if you want to go to bed early or sleep late. (2) Would suggest adding body lotion to toiletries. (3) add more fruit to breakfast.
