We stayed in unit 67. You most likely will want to drive down to the pool/lake. 2 porches, ample parking and quiet - except for our group- we were loud. 2 bathrooms both with tubs/showers. master has a jet tub that was extremely clean. Definitely enjoyed our stay. Very few dining places off site and many were not open on Mon/Tues.

This is our 3rd year vacationing at this location, we love it that much. We rent from VRBO (same place each year. They've removed the trash cans from the housing and you now take the trash up front daily (I'm guessing to help with bear sightings). The resort itself has a golf course the guys loved, 2 pools (1 with a lazy river), mini golf, tennis court, inside pool with hot tub, beach area, kayak and boat rentals, kids day camp, massages (cal in advance to schedule, nail salon (only open Monday so call in advance to schedule) and much more.
Don't forget to visit the souvenir shop for cool items. The surrounding area has tons to see and so. I suggest horseback riding (2 locations close by), canyon Ridge zip lining, Chimney Rock (about 500 steps), gem mining, the Flowering Bridge (free and worth checking out) and so much more! IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A VACATION SPOT THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO GO!

We rented from Mr. Lake Lure and had access to RB through our property. The resort grounds are very nice and clean. The scenery is pretty. The first day we went, we had to wait until "Adult Swim" was over (which was disappointing for a family with children that were excited to jump in the pool). Some of the staff was very rude (that really put a damper on our experience).
The second day there was better and the staff we saw that day was more welcoming. The putt-putt course was great. One of the restaurants on site had a severely limited menu of pizza or stromboli, not sure why.

We had high hopes for R.B. and Lake Lure, but it's just not our scene. Maybe it's because LL is the land that time forgot - every public place is as old and tired as I am. Or maybe it's because RB seems entirely off grid - phone signals in the neighborhood are as rare as a fresh salads at the restaurant. There are certainly some fantastic homes in RB. and natural beauty and vistas and fun times. I just couldn't shake the feeling that it was 1973 all over again!

It's a fine resort with serene surroundings of the Bald mountains. Recent maintenance of the boardwalk and adding of fine sand beachfront among numerous upgrades are hight appreciated. The lake does get partly drained once a year for maintenance, when the views are not particularly visually appealing. The resort itself offers some noteworthy amenities.

Very disappointed in this resort. We thought it was family friendly, but the kids weren't allowed to use the hot tub, which was one of the main things we were coming here for! The indoor pool was chilly in January, and yet they wouldn't allow my 10 year old in the hot tub. The staff was rude. The floors in the pool area were black and dirty- I felt uncomfortable whenever I took my flip flops off. Will never return!
