Black Tie was by far our first choice when looking at DJ, lighting, and photo booth for our wedding. We chatted with Mike and knew he was the guy for the job. Before the wedding he was great! Meetings with him were very helpful and motivated us to pick the best songs and organize a good timeline. The day of the wedding - he was GREAT, no AMAZING! He know all the right songs to play, got people on the dance floor, and got people excited for all the boring wedding events. We can't thank Mike for everything he did - he went far beyond what was expected! He was very flexible and open minded with bringing our own style to the wedding.

DJ Mike completely exceeded our expectations. In our planning calls, we emphasized that our biggest concern was that we wanted our guests dancing as much as possible. Mike quickly put our minds at ease and made sure we were not disappointed. First, Mike made a few suggestions during our planning sessions that created some incredible moments at our wedding (ask about the table game). Then, on our wedding day, he interacted with our guests in a way that got everyone excited about being there.

He was never "over the top" and was able to read the room several times to keep people dancing. We gave Mike a lot of freedom to bring our reception to life, and thank goodness we did because his song selection and energy that night could not have been better. Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives, and Mike made sure the celebration was nothing short of spectacular. To anyone who has the same concerns we did, rest assured you're in good hands with Mike. Thank you for an evening we will never forget!

Black Tie Entertainment provided an outstanding service! 100% 5 Star company. The owner Dave helped us during the worst of the pandemic. They were extremely accommodating and it was a relief having a guaranteed backup DJ/MC if something happened to our original pick. Dave helped us select a DJ based on our style and preferences. Their online portal was user friendly and made it easy to pick out our play list.

We picked Mike Interdonato for our DJ/MC and we couldn't have been more pleased with his level of performance. He was a true professional: empathetic, passionate, organized, and positive. Mike patiently listened to all our questions and concerns and helped establish our wedding day timeline. He even suggested some great (and fun!) ideas for our wedding day which created some truly memorable moments.

His communication was outstanding as he went above and beyond preparing and directing our wedding party throughout the reception. He was friendly and polite to all our guests and kept the energy levels of the crowd up and engaged throughout the night. We truly felt he cared about making our day as special as possible, not just for us but for our loved ones as well. I hired Oneka with Black Tie Entertainment to DJ my wedding in December 2021. Working with her was everything I wanted in a DJ: attentive, organized, adaptable, flexible, professional and fun. She made our experience so much fun that she did not feel like someone we recently met. I was a very particular bride and serious about my music and she understood the assignment.

All of my guests enjoyed themselves and my pictures show that Oneka hit the target because no one was sitting down during the reception. I'd definitely recommend booking with her for your event. Let's not forget it was also during the pandemic so much adjusting was needed.

We LOVED working with Black Tie. First, their comprehensive approach to planning for the big day gave me a lot of anxiety relief. Second, our DJ, John Lukehart, was awesome to work with. He was both our DJ for our karaoke welcome event and our wedding reception. The guests loved him. He brought the perfect amount of energy to each event, and our guests were singing and dancing all night.

In preparation for our events, he was very attentive to our overall vision, and his guidance and pointers were super helpful. He event went above and beyond to ensure he had some "oddball" songs we wanted to sing for karaoke. He was also "down" to make whatever we wanted to happen, happen! At a certain point in the night we wanted to play the drinking game "thunderstruck" and he was all in. Highly recommend working with Black Tie and specifically John!

DJ John Lukehart with Black Tie Entertainment was amazing! From our initial call, to being flexible about changing dates, to changing the timeline, and especially during the 'Big Day'! John provided us with a portal to build the timeline, insert all of the music we would like for him to play (and not play), and insert family members. The portal was very easy to navigate and was extremely helpful!

The portal also had suggestions for every genre and special moment for the evening. During our calls, John walked with us through the portal and answered all our questions, and also made tweaks to based on our discussion. Beyond the portal, John was very helpful during our calls! To put it lightly, I probably was not the easiest person to work with.

Despite all the barriers I caused him to have to work around, John did a fabulous job of creating an AWESOME playlist for the evening. Whenever we had a question about ideas for certain moments during the evening, or wanted to know how the song would sound - John was always quick to respond and even give us a sample of how he would do a mix on a song or a mash-up.

On the "Big Day", John arrived early, and actually saw my sister and I off to the church. His Instagram is great and shows snippets of all the weddings and events he is doing. You will definitely want to check him out (@dj_johnlukehart)! Like I mentioned before, I definitely wasn't the easiest person to work with, and that even included during the wedding. John worked with both my husband and I on adjusting the timeline so we had more time to talk with family during the reception, and also worked with me to push the last few songs when I was held up in the ladies room repairing a tear in my dress.

Despite the few hiccups, the dance floor was NEVER empty, and everyone raved about how awesome the party was! Huge, HUGE, thank you to DJ John - you hit the ball out the park, and truly were a grand slam! (Don't forget to check him out on instagram - @dj_johnlukehart)

In a large industry, it's hard to find vendors who take as much time getting to know their Clients as they do building relationships with Vendors. Eric is, by far, one of those DJs! His professionalism is above board, and couple that with his musicality, creativity, and music proficiency, he is the perfect fit for your wedding. We highly recommend BTE and Eric!

My wife and I spent weeks rehearsing a first dance and all we asked of him was to introduce us so we knew when to begin. NOPE. Just starts playing our first dance music with no introduction which threw us off completely. We should have known better, our first meeting with him he spent 90 minutes talking about himself and his acting career and 5 minutes talking to us about what we wanted and took zero notes.

I want to personally shout out Matt Johnson for doing an absolutely phenomenal job at our wedding Oct. 9th 2021. His professionalism, attitude, ability to read the room were second to none. One of the most impressive things about Matt was his ability to recognize when the room was ready to "turn up" and when it was time to slow things down and give everyone a break. He really treated us like we have known each other for years and bent over backwards to make sure we had a great day.

I had Matt Johnson to be my DJ for my wedding in August, and he was incredible! He was kind, funny, and very open to all of the music I loved. He communicated in a way that made me feel like he cared and wanted things to be perfect. He also had to edit a father daughter song which isn't easy to do. The lighting in our venue was gorgeous, and he knew how to read the room with his selections of music. Don't hesitate on this company! :

Unfortunately I have to give this business a negative review. When we contracted the company for my daughter's wedding we did so because they assured us song requests would be honored. But at the wedding the DJ refused to play popular songs despite asking him multiple times to do so. Given the amount of money we spent I find this totally unprofessional. I would not recommend them and wish we went with another company.

Justin was the DJ for our wedding and he was amazing! He has great energy and kept the crowd alive. Very personable, professional, and organized. He had everything planned out well in advance and took the pressure off of us. We couldn't have asked for everything to flow smoother than it went. We will definitely use him as a DJ for any other events in the future. 10/10! Thank you, Justin!

Sarah, one of the event coordinators, was absolutely incredible. One of the most hard working individuals I have ever encountered! We used her for our outside (rather large) wedding on June 5th and she did not disappoint. Everyone always says that Brides never have fun because they are so busy thinking about all the details, but that was not my experience at all thanks to Sarah.

She took care of everything and made sure the whole event went smoothly and I was able to just enjoy our wedding. Sarah was so thoughtful throughout the entire process and continually checked up on me and offer assistance wherever was needed. I was incredibly pleased with Sarah's work and would recommend her to any bride!

To say that Jon Lukehart was amazing to work with would be an understatement. I didn't understand the importance of a DJ/MC until after I worked with John Lukehart from Black Tie Entertainment. Most people that attended my wedding have said that our DJ/MC (John Lukehart) was awesome/ fun/ impressive. I agree. John Lukehart helped me plan the timeline for my wedding as well as pick awesome songs for a very personalized and fun ceremony and reception.

The website that Black Tie Entertainment has for planning the wedding and setting up playlists is phenomenal. It's easy to use and helped me organize the timeline for the wedding. John Lukehart was warm-hearted, extremely charismatic, kept people engaged and excited with each event, kept people dancing all night with awesome music choices, and he made the shoe game so fun.

He was great at communicating with us so that even when we were running late, he still lead the ceremony and reception smoothly. I thought that people were being dramatic when they say that your wedding can be the best day of your life. John, you helped make my wedding the best darn wedding I could hope for. Thank you x3000.

Eddie Bobby may have quite literally saved our wedding. We were having an outdoor ceremony that was drawing power from a house on top of a hill. During the night before the wedding, a stick fell into the transistor and blew the power to the building, and we didn't find out until right before the ceremony. Eddie Bobby from Black Tie Entertainment had a personal battery backup system and was able to have everything set up and ready to go by the time the wedding was scheduled to start.

And that was just the start of the day. He was an absolutely amazing master of ceremonies. He held a few meetings with my wife and I to ensure that he knew exactly what we wanted to hear, what sort of games or special events were taking place, the timing for everything. He made planning this wedding so easy and so stress free. And when we got to the day of EVERYONE loved him.

We got so many compliments about how amazing the DJ was, how funny and engaging he was, how the music was perfect. He knew when to interact with the crowd and when to take a step back and let moments happen. I can't imagine having anyone else as our wedding DJ. While we obviously only worked with Eddie Bobby, I would have full confidence in any of their Top Tier DJs.

If you are wavering between levels, let me tell you it is 100% worth spending the little bit of extra money to have an experienced DJ. It honestly saved our wedding ceremony, and was a huge reason the reception was such a success.(Side note: Eddie Bobby sent us some photos that he took from his perspective during the wedding! Nothing fancy, but they were a wonderful surprise that are tying us over while we await our photos from the photographer).

Black Tie Entertainment went above and beyond all our expectations. We worked with DJ John Lukehart and he worked with us every step of the way to create the most amazing wedding timeline and setlist for the event. He was able to find creative ways to incorporate our music tastes and keep the whole multicultural crowd engaged and on the dance floor.

He was also really adept at picking up social cues like when my husband ran out of dance moves during our first dance and needed an out. He also embraced our idea for Beatles themed ceremony music and helped bring our vision to life. Additionally we used their uplighting services that transformed our venue into a romantic space for dinner and party central for open dance time.

We also had the open air photo booth which gave us so many awesome fun photos from the evening and the photo booth attendant had everyone making silly faces and getting really into the photos. He was so great that some of our guests even took photos with him.

Black Tie entertainment did an excellent job with our wedding. We had Andrew Nelson as our DJ and he was able to control the flow of the reception quite well. He was able to get a feel for the crowd and got everyone on the dance floor for partying but was also able to slow things down so we could enjoy time with our friends and family around the venue.

He also took requests from our guests and smoothly blended them into the music of the evening. Black Tie provided all the tools we needed to plan out the music for the ceremony and reception, which is a big task, but the tools let you easily pick out your special songs for events like entering the reception or the first dance. They also have lists where you can put songs you want played at the reception or not played at all. All in all it was a very friendly company to work with and they make planning easy with their online planning tools.

Matt Johnson from Black Tie did a great job as DJ for our wedding of around 160 people! He worked with us closely to make sure pronunciations of family names were correct which was important to us, and provided us with a custom edit of a song that we wanted to use for our first dance! He also did an excellent job with the sound system and mics for our ceremony and coordinating our reception.

Many of our friends also told us they enjoyed the songs he selected and how he kept the dance floor going! We loved that he was flexible during our reception and accommodated guest requests, coordination with our photographers for group photos, and how he knew how to transition between songs throughout the night.

My then-fiance (now husband) and I went to a wedding expo where we met several DJs, but when we talked to Matt Johnson from Black Tie, we knew he was the one we wanted. As my husband and I quickly learned, a DJ doesn't only just play songs during the dance portion of the celebration, he is there the entire event and he sets the tone for every segment of the evening.

With his years of experience in the entertainment industry and his confidence, we trusted Matt with the most special day of our lives. He guided us through the planning process by giving us awesome song recommendations and explained the wedding timeline. He was patient and accommodating, and very supportive of our wedding ideas. There is no song he can't find or get, so don't be shy about asking him to include unique songs.

On our wedding day, he was timely and professional with set up, and he made sure all the planned events happened on time. Matt read our audience and could tell what they liked, which was impressive seeing as how our wedding guests came from different cultures and spanned several generations. He kept our wedding party bouncing with his energy and drive!

He coaxed people out on the dance floor and led people for line dances - boy could he work a crowd! Matt is topnotch and inarguably the best DJ anyone could have at their wedding! We highly recommend Matt Johnson of Black Tie to anyone looking for a DJ.

We had a great experience with Black Tie Entertainment! The entire planning process was a breeze and was made so easy through their online portal. Our DJ, John Lukehart, was so professional and creative! We did have a few songs on our "must play" list but gave him the freedom to play music that he thought fit our crowd. We really liked that Black Tie Entertainment has a Met the DJ night so you can see not only what their flow is like but have a chance to talk to all the DJs and see which one is the best fit. We chose DJ Chase and were so amazed at what a wonderful job he did - our dance floor was full all night long. We had such a great time and everything went so smoothly, Chase was able to work hand in hand with our venue. We definitely recommend.

Black Tie Entertainment is the creme de la creme! They provided DJ and uplighting services for my persian wedding and Matt Johnson was our DJ. He was uber-professional, a joy to work with and an all-around great guy! We met with him and spoke with him numerous times. I wasn't familiar with Persian music so I looked to him to bring it and he sure did!

He had great, international music and was wonderful at MCing and keeping us on schedule and on track. Black Tie also has this great client portal where you can enter your timelines, music requests and other information. Highly recommend!

Very impressed with Black Tie Entertainment - the impressed us at the wedding expo, and then we attended a 'meet the DJs' night where we saw how they kept the event running smoothly and had each DJ do one section so you could see them work, and then you had time to wander around and meet them all and see who you worked well with. We picked DJ Chase and so pleased with our decision.

The online forms helped gather our thoughts and the two skype meetings left us knowing that things would be great. But who would have tough that a wedding of some middle age folks would have a packed dance floor from beginning to end. Chase was able to seamlessly integrate with our venue and all events happened smoothly and everyone had a great time. I highly recommend you use Black Tie and if you want a mix of Rat Pack and 80s dance with a a healthy mix of geek then DJ Chase is your guy.

We came across Black Tie Entertainment when we were attending a wedding expo and was immediately drawn by their professionalism. They worked with us to fit services within our budget and we ended up using their DJ, Bose sound system, and Uplighting services. We liked the ease of their online system and creating a playlist of our favorite songs. We were assigned Eddy Bobby as our DJ and worked with him to create a memorable and seamless night for us. Eddy did a great job and was professional throughout the reception! The uplighting definitely helped enhance our gorgeous venue.

Most of the DJs are fine, except a few. Had a terrible experience with one DJ in particular. The guy continued to sound very eager and interested in our tastes in music during our conversation, and even sent a specific date and time to meet up closer to the wedding. We confirmed the time, but later came to find out through the owner that the DJ would not be a best fit for us.

Found out his expertise in the type of music we liked was never his specialty, but he had us thoroughly convinced that he was the best man for the job when compared to the other DJs within black tie, and knew exactly what we wanted despite never even giving us a sample of his skills. Probably the worst is the owner. Understanding at first, but the minute you try to reason with him and try to tell him, inform him of any issues, specifically in this case that one of his DJs had mislead us, gave us false information, and tried to put on a character face that was not him (because obviously thats exactly what happened), he would shout back at you and become super defensive.

At one instance even pointed out and said "I don't even know why I ever gave you people such a deal." Needless to say, we immediately cancelled the contract and went with a previously recommended entertainment company for our DJ needs, and have never looked back since. This owner needs to dial the F*** back and learn to communicate with his clients better. Its like talking to a 5th grader who doesn't want to admit his own mistakes.

Blacktie Entertainment provided the BEST entertainment experience for our February 27 2016 wedding. This business was a pleasure to work with and the team behind it was absolutely phenomenal. We were assigned Eddy Bobby as our DJ and spent the past couple of months working with him to organize the entertainment aspect of our event. Since our dinner reception was black-tie optional, Eddy came in prepared and looking very sharp in his tux -- we were very appreciative of his attention to detail. Eddy did an extraordinary job at organizing our play list and even went to great lengths to find over a dozen very particular genres of music that we had wanted played at specific times during our cocktail hour and dinner reception.

He even did his research and was able to dig up a classic for all Greek wedding receptions --Orea Pou Ine Nifi Mas! He did a phenomenal job at reading the guests and made our reception a blast and truly an event to remember. We had a huge hiccup earlier in the day with another vendor that had thrown off our schedule by 40 minutes. We were so worried that we would not have enough time for our photographer and filmmakers to cover all of our planned dances and reception events ( once in a lifetime key moments such as our cake cutting and the bouquet toss, etc). Eddy --like Clark Kent in a tux-- swooped in and came to the rescue.

We were so grateful that he was able to get us back on our original schedule, allowing us to capture all of those important moments and events with our photographers and filmmakers. Having him there completely eliminated the stress caused by the botched vendor a couple of hours ago. Before we knew it, we were back in the groove all thanks to Eddy. Eddy was professional, attentive, knows his craft well and does an exceptional job executing it. He truly made our event memorable and one that neither we or our guests will ever forget. Thank you so much for making our evening so much fun and so very special!

I contracted with Black tie for my wedding in November 2014 and was excited because of all the great reviews and the experience that Dave, the owner, said all his DJs have. We contracted for lights, photobooth, and dj services (with a dj assistant and extra assistant to run a guest book at the photobooth). I have to start by saying that Matt, our DJ, had a great fun non-cheesy manner at the microphone and the music flowed beautifully.

We gave Matt a lot of guidance about what kinds of music we wanted and he did a great job sticking to that style. We also had an entrance with musicians and dancers partway through the night and he coordinated well with them. The lighting was also just what I wanted. However, Matt screwed up the speeches and first dances timeline such that my new FIL did not have the chance to do the blessing before dinner he was planning for.

The timeline screwup happened despite spending an hour with Matt going over the written down timeline (emailed to him and input into his online forms - that's 2 media of timeline delivery) a week before and again just a few days before and the day of coordinator printing copies for him - and going over the timeline once more right before the entrance.

There is really nothing else I could have done. The guests generally had no idea anything went wrong but my FIL definitely was disappointed. Also, on the company's online prep forms, I had also specifically said no electric slide, and he played it anyway. On the photobooth, the assistant for the guestbook could not make it so the owner came for a few hours instead.

To start, the WRONG DATE was on the printed pictures until one of my guests pointed out the problem. Also, at our initial meetings I had asked if they were going to have certain types of props - in particular frames - and Dave said they would be buying more props in the months ahead and that was on the list. I can see how that conversation might fall through the cracks but either way, there were no frames and I thought the props selection was pretty paltry. Dave compensated us with a tiny percentage refund - less than half of what I asked for based on the problems and reduced staff - but at least he made a gesture.

Black Tie DJs was recommended to me by multiple friends, so after interviewing a few DJs, I contacted Black Tie to research further. I was SO very impressed by the professionalism of Black Tie DJs. I loved that got to have an initial meeting with the company and they paired us with the DJ they thought would best fit with what we were looking for. Our DJ, Brad, was proactive in calling me multiple times throughout the year leading up to the wedding, and he made himself very available to help with the planning whenever we needed it.

He was almost like a private wedding consultant! I had no idea how the 'timeline of events' should go at a wedding, but I felt very comfortable and confident in Brad's suggestions, knowing that he ran many weddings in the past and was very in tune with how a wedding should flow. This was a HUGE relief. My (now) husband and I like alternative music, and he understood exactly what we were looking for.

He carefully went through my "must play", "would like to play", and "do not play" lists, asking great questions and making suggestions that I did not even think of! On the day of the wedding, he and his assistant were on time, very polite and easy to work with, and gave just the right amount of interaction and help (since we noted that we did not want a 'highly interactive' DJ on the wedding day). The dance floor was packed the WHOLE time - we had such a blast.
