We stayed in the cabin with hot tub. Beautiful cabin with updated interior decor. Pool was great with an attached mountain viewing spot with rocking chairs. The hot tub was awesome! The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 are: 1- the cabin had no ice trays or ice maker, 2- the directions were inaccurate (so I felt loss and had to turn around twice to make sense of where I was going), 3- my card was charged incorrectly so there was a7 day hold on an extra $500 for a week. I will definitely be visiting again.

My friends and I stayed at the Linger Longer cabin and had a blast. The jacuzzi was probably my favorite part. It fit all six of us comfortably. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable. We went to the Warm Springs Winery nearby and hiked Providence Canyon (1.5 hrs away). Overall we had a great and relaxing time!

My husband and I just needed a quick weekend getaway that was affordable! This was the perfect choice for us - room was a little small, but immaculate! The staff was knowledgeable of the area, extremely friendly, and helpful. We spent time at Callaway Gardens and surrounding area. Highly recommend for couples, singles, friends, and families. Lots to do in the area not far from the inn!

We booked a King Lodge room. Everything was clean and just as described. Great Mountain Views! This was an excellent price for a 2 night stay. Close to Callaway Gardens and Warm Springs. The area could use more breakfast places, but we will be better prepared next visit. We enjoyed the pool. This is definitely a hidden gem that needs exposure.

This is a charming place in a very beautiful rural area of Georgia. It is clean and though not "fancy" it feels comfortable and safe for females traveling alone. Relaxation awaits the minute you arrive. The staff is friendly and helpful. You feel like you are a very welcome guest and a favorite aunt's home! Could not wait to return for my recent visit.

Fantastic! My wife, daughter and I had the privilege of spending a weekend in one of their studio inn rooms - what a blast! The accommodations are excellent, cabin-esque finishes with a modern twist. None of the utilities or facilities were dilapidated or in need of anything! The rooms are perfect, spacious and climate control is quick and easy! The staff and owners are very personable, accommodating, friendly and full of knowledge!
The housekeepers are extremely friendly, the owners are on site and engage with the guests, making sure that we've got everything that we need, I could go on. (The area is history rich so if that type of information interests you just ask, they'll give you the lowdown). We shopped around, weighing the costs per night versus the accommodations versus the location.
We settled on MTI&R - we won't stay anywhere else anytime we're visiting the area. The swimming pool was great. Accessing our inn from the parking lot was not as much of a task as I thought it would be. Everything is conveniently located and the walking paths / staircases are kept up and are well lit. Bagged ice was provided at no additional costs. Grilling area, tons of trails, conveniently located, can't say enough! The only thing that I wish we had while we were there was more time. Seriously highly recommended! We will be frequent visitors!

The room was decent. They have nice jacuzzi tubs in the room but they are out of order. That was a real tease. Upon arriving trying to get the key to work on the door was extremely hard. I had to keep jiggling and wiggling it every time I need to get in. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Housekeeping was very accommodating as well.

We stayed at the lodge and it had all the beauty of a cabin without having too much space for just 2 people. It had a nice backyard for our dogs to roam around and enjoy the beautiful March weather. I liked the benches and picnic tables for outdoor dining or coffee sipping on the porch. There's a fire pit if you want to make s'mores or little charcoal grills if you want to cookout.
They really tried to make this a cute little getaway place. The housekeeping staff is so friendly and helpful. I docked stars because we had some issues with our room specifically and it just wasn't practical if you're staying more than 1-2 nights. And even if you are only staying 2 nights there should at least be a dresser or somewhere to put your clothes, no excuses there.
When booking this room I didn't see anything saying the lodge was meant for shorter stays, so this should be made more clear prior to booking. Our front door was extremely hard to open and you had to use a lot of force to push it open. I broke my arm a few weeks ago so this became very difficult for me to do. Our bathroom door wouldn't latch closed at all.
My husband had to lift the door up with both hands to get the door to latch. I having a recently broken arm could not lift the door and just had to hope my dogs didn't push the door open with their nose. The part of our room that I disliked the most was the lack of furniture. The existing furniture was very aesthetically pleasing, but it wasn't practical for long term stays.
There is a cute little wooden desk, but there is no dresser! There wasn't even a closet to put our clothes in, so we had to live out of our suitcases for a week and rifle through things. There also wasn't any kind of cabinet or shelf in the bathroom for our toiletries, so again we lived out of a travel bag. There was only 1 nightstand when there should be 2.
So only 1 person has a place to set their drinks or phone to charge. The coffee maker is some tiny thing that only takes their prepackaged coffee so you can't brew your own. We wound up buying our own coffee maker from the local dollar store so we could brew coffee of our choosing. The air conditioner was so loud you couldn't hear the TV and had to have it cranked up on full blast. Halfway through our trip someone moved in to the room above us and you could hear every little noise and step they made, even at 1am!
So there isn't much noise cancellation between any of the rooms. Overall, a cute little place to stay and get away, but it's not all that practical and could use some improvements. We personally would not stay here again.

I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful the staff is and wonderful and special they made me feel. At the time of my visit, I was going through a rough period in my life after just loosing my (next week will mark 4 months). I was broken when I arrived, but their spirits and compassion was felt and it helped me get through my day. Came in only staying 1 night but ended staying 3 nights. They are such sweet people and their goal is to make sure that you feel comfortable as you stay.

Dangerous in so many ways. Arrived after dark to find a rough gravel unlit walkway. Stairs unlit and you literally had to feel your was up the tall stairs with no handrail. Not at all safe. Further the bathtub is missing a non slip non skid surface and my partner slipped and fell. Violation of so many safety requirements make it highly unlikely I will return.
We are in our late 70's and certainly not fossils yet basic safety concerns seem unimportant. On a positive note the tub was nice yet lacking of any griping surface making getting out of the tub not an easy task. Safety grips as well as safety bars on the shower would be an inexpensive remedy in the name of safety Bed was comfortable and with sufficient pillows.
The bedding was nice. Television programs are virtually not. 1 1 1 I I / iConstant losing of the signal. Frustrating. Only one chair in the room as there is ample room for a second. Difficult to play cards or any table game. The view is nice and though far from paradise, it was pleasant. I stayed here in the past before spending the past 8 I ' 'years in California and it was a much more pleasant visit.
The optimistic side of me tell me these issues will be resolved by my next visit yet the pessimistic side tells me these issues will be ignored. I asked for the name of the manager to be told we cannot reveal that information Humm.? Overall not a very satisfying visit. Too much danger if arriving after dark. Respectfully, Wayne Earl Evans

My girlfriend and I have gone to the Mountain Top Inn for about 15 years, every Fall. If you want to watch or stream movies, the Internet access is very poor. The Wi-Fi must be 100 years old. That's part of our ritual is to watch a scary movie. My other issue is that two times I have gotten bedbugs in room eight of the lodge rooms. I stayed there two different years and told them.
I don't know if they have fixed that problem and I will never stay in that room again. The bedbugs are in the queen size bed by the fireplace. The inn rooms are nice because they've been remodeled within the past five years. The only thing I don't like is there are used to be a little kitchenette and some of them and it's very hard to bring food or even rent your dishes in the bathroom sink.
Room eight in the end is where we stayed. We had that room a year ago and the bathroom door won't stay closed. There's no smart TVs so you can hardly stream anything. No DVD players anymore. The staff was very nice. They were as helpful as they could be.

Wife and I reserved a room at the lodge for 3 nights so we could go to Callaway and other spots locally. We chose this place because they were pet friendly. Upon arrival we had to wait an extra hour and 20 minutes after the 4pm normal check in because our room wasn't ready. That wasn't really a problem but there were several other people who also had to wait.
Once we got to the room we had a couple of issues: There was no coffee maker, cups, condiments or anything. We called the office and a few hours later sent a guy with a small bag of cups and coffee but we never got the coffee maker. There was a very strong odor of polyurethane as they had obviously recently (that day apparently) done some lacquer work in the room.
The smell was so bad the guests above us were complaining about it also. They were fully booked and couldn't get us another room so we had to sleep through the cold and rainy night with the window open. I have COPD and polyurethane is not something I or anyone with asthma or COPD should be in close proximity of. We went to the office in the morning and asked to speak to the GM and was told she was busy so I left my number and asked for a call back. Maria called me back several hours later and refunded our night and let us cancel our reservation.
Except for the smell it's a cute but very little room. Ours was clean and towels and sheets were clean. Bathroom was clean and decent size. Our room had a queen bed and a small bed in a corner (where a small kitchenette would have been great). There is a fridge and microwave and supposed to be a coffee maker. Wifi is slow and spotty. The lodge is in a great location if you like mountains and hiking.
If you are looking to go there for some cycling I can't attest to thr trails but the roads around the lodge are dangerous with drivers flying around curves at high rates of speed. Views in the area are spectacular. Staff were mostly pleasant and helpful. We will probably return but will try out the cabins next time as the lodge rooms are too small for us.

Quaint cabin (Lola & Otis) in the middle of Georgia. I felt like I was staying at grandma's cabin, which has its plus and its minus. The living room was great, but the game console couldn't connect to the tv. There were games, but missing pieces. Screened porch was fun, but again a game with missing pieces. Kitchen is typical with mix of kitchen tools needed. Bedrooms were good. Beds were great. All said, I would stay again. I didn't come for the games, I came for the scenery.

What a wonderful experience and awesome accommodations! The room was equipped with everything needed for a quick getaway or longer. It was an absolute perfect location since it was in the FDR State Park, close to all the trails. Kim and Melissa were wonderful hostesses; they were professional, friendly and very helpful with lots of good information regarding the surrounding area. MTI is so private, a quiet location and the perfect place to stay. Can't wait to book my next getaway at MTI. It is my "go to" place-make it yours, too. You will not be disappointed~~

The room smelled of urine and they supposedly just cleaned the room. The tile behind the jacuzzi had thick grout. The king bed was nice and comfortable. We went out and bought air fresheners and bought cleanser to clean the jacuzzi before we used it. It wasn't a bad stay once we got the urine odor out the room. It wasn't worth nearly $200 though. Some of the people work at the front desk weren't friendly except for a younger white lady and a black lady.
