Just go to sunbelt. Dependo isn't cheaper Sure they are "friendly" and they seem cheaper but after an unauthorized charge of the made up number of 60 dollars for "mub on the treads of the tires" "so they could check them" after the guy that picked up the machine told me it was cleaned well enough. The owner then tells me, that he doesn't get to decide what is charged.
I'll be taking my business else where. Where you can cancel a machine rental and not still be expected to pay for the rental regardless of you taking it or not. They may seem cheaper but I promise you with all their little charges and weird rules for renting they will just charge your card without first contacting you about addition charges and any money you thought you were saving quickly goes away. Unacceptable.
As a man with over 10 years in construction experience with heavy machinery, sunbelt will never charge you for a 10th of the petty stuff they look to charge you for and they will charge you on the hours on the machine after you bring it back! Rented for 10 used 6, they charged for 10. trust me. Sunbelt is going 10/10 better

Experience leads to a great rental experience and desired outcomes. The guys at Dependo Rental know their equipment and its proper application. In a world now that training consists of "lets Google it", Dependo has decades of real life experience. They listened to my need, walked me to their recommendation, started the machine on the first pull and walked me thoroughly through the operating procedures. Why go anywhere else to rent equipment. Respectful and professional!

To preface, I have been renting and using equipment for over 25 years (including boring machines) from several different companies. So, I know what I'm doing. But, I rented a small boring machine from this company. One boring rod bent; which I take full responsibility for. But, 2 other rods had been previously repaired, and broke during the boring process. Ultimately, they would have broken for whomever was using them. And I was charged for all 3 rods without question, when they should not have even sent them out. Bad business in my opinion

They have the perfect tool/equipment for just about any job or project. They go over the equipment's do's & don'ts as well as it's correct use before you leave. All of the employees are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They make your visit productive, educational and enjoyable. I'm actually looking forward to the next time I rent their equipment. Robert W. was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Wayne S. called me the next day to ask about my experience with Dependo Rent-All.

Went in on Friday to rent some equipment and was a little bit early to get the weekend price but they gave it to me anyway since I was willing to pay and pick up the equipment later. Then the drive cable broke right after getting off the truck and called them and was told to bring it in on a Saturday and they would fix it. I wasnt there 15 minutes they had it fixed and on my way. When I brought the equipment back they even took money off the rental due to my issues. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and down to earth. Amazing job!

Under New Ownership 2019. I would give the new owner a chance. I wrote a review about a horrible experience I had a few years ago being charged a full day for being 10 minute late. The New owner reached out to me. Tried to make things right. And was apologetic about the previous owner. That shows great integrity to me. If you have had a bad experience as I did prior to 2019, please give the new guy a chance. He seems to be a good guy.

I will always rent from Dependo. You could not ask for a better owner. I have rented from them in the past and have never had any issues. I recently rented a seed slicer from them that I had used last season for grass seed. It performed great last season. I did not have to put down any topsoil or straw even though I was planting on bare dirt. It makes a groove in the dirt and drops the seed right in and then covers it back up. Saves a lot of work, money on topsoil, and no weed seeds from straw.
This time around the slicer was having engine issues. Apparently the diaphragm in the carb needed replacement. I understand this happening and considered it just the luck of the draw for me. It's not their fault. It has to wear out sometime and on someone. It happened on a Sunday. I spoke with the owner on the phone about it. Unfortunately he was out of town so he could not come by the house to fix it.
He was very apologetic and said he could get it fixed for me first thing Monday morning and I could pick it up that afternoon. I tried my best to get him to take at the very least a half day charge but he would not take anything. Customer satisfaction was more important to him than the 80 bucks. That is why you go here and not a big box store to rent your equipment. They have a huge selection and when something goes wrong they fix it, the equipment and the relationship with the customer. No questions asked. Great People.

On Friday, February 25, 2018, I had another occasion/need for equipment on a home project. I called Dependo Rent-All to make sure they had the equipment and picked up the chipping hammer later that morning. The following morning I returned the hammer with the job completed and while returning home it occurred to me that I have been renting equipment from Dependo since 1978 and never have made a public comment other than, Thanks Guys!
So from a customer of almost forty years I just want to publicly say, Thanks for being there and providing most all of my equipment needs with dependable equipment. They have fulfilled my equipment needs and I am sure they will help you too. Tom Thurman

If I could give them zero stars I would. First of all I need a generator for one day. Went in Friday at about 4:30. Told them I needed a generator for one day. I planned on taking it back on Saturday. Well I was informed that they open at 8 and close at noon on Saturday. I asked if I was to rent it in the morning if they had a drop off on Sunday. They didn't.
I was told that I would have to bring it by Monday and be charged for 2 days. I bit the bullet and rented it. Well I got home and was showing my wife how to use it, it didn't work. My wife wanted to take it to our new house and run a vaccum cleaner(we didn't have power yet). I took it back to get another one and asked if he could throw in a stand up light because it would be getting dark and there was no power.
He acted like he didn't understand what I was asking, but he did inform me that they do rent lights but I would have to come back Monday to rent one because they were closed. Not the end of the story yet. He called me this morning at 9:30(Monday) asking for his generator back. He said it had to be back by 9 or I get charged another day. When signed the papers I was told to bring it in Monday, then I asked what time they close I was told 5:30 assuming that was when it needed to be back.
That provoked a heated discussion between me and the manager. I'm sure I am getting charged another day. All I can say is, I'll never rent there again and hopefully I have saved someone else from making the mistake I did with this post.
